Shearbank is a suburb in the north-central area of Malton. It contains Stickling Mall and the east half of St Luke's Cathedral.

Before the outbreak, Shearbank- though not possessing much in the way of attractions itself- acted as a sort of hub to tourist attractions in the surrounding areas, resulting in the construction of no less than six hotels, four police departments, and Stickling Mall- the last of the malls to be completed before the outbreak, in early March 2005. But a year before the renovation, it was up in the ranks with Randallbank, Roachtown, and Huntley Heights as being one of the poorest suburbs in Malton. Drugs, robberies, and assaults were numerous in this suburb. Luckily, this suburb was renovated and became one of the best in the city.

With quick access to hospitals, police stations, and active revive points, the area around Stickling Mall is currently recommended as a great place to gain experience points for those new to Malton.

Shearbank has an extensive and colorful past history. If you are new to the area, please take a look at the Shearbank Barricade Plan.

The new local PK list can be found here which is being maintained by the Umbrella Corporation.

Zeds have broken some of the Stickling Mall NW sector's barricades, changing it from EHB to Very heavily barricaded. St. Christopeher's Church fell to the rising tide of the dead--Sgt Raiden

The vanguard of the zombie horde on the Mall Tour hits Shearbank. Edmund General Hospital and the Whippey Building were destroyed on the first day of the attack. Now the dead are knocking on the door of Stickling Mall. -- Kittithaj 17:01, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

The NE corner of Stickling Mall has been breached by more than 30 zeds. Be sure to buy a nice shirt while they're still there!--XxFear ItselfxX 19:55, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Nisbet has been ruined with 2 zeds inside and a whole bunch more surrounding it.--Nick Tennear 12:09, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

While the Northern front of the suburb still holds, the Southern one doesn't. The Turner Building is ruined along with Josaphat General Hospital. With all surrounding suburbs destroyed and occupied by zombies, Shearbank is starting to feel the tightening grip of the dead. -- Kittithaj 15:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

A horde of 50+ zombies has lain siege to Edmund General Hospital, and are in the process of supressing the remaining survivors. --Sigma 7 16:55, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Shearbank is a very long away from being dead. Turner NT is recaptured, Nisbet NT is powered, the south is in a pretty good shape. Edmund is still ruined but is expected to be retaken by tomorrow, as it constantly swaps sides for a week now. 3 buildings ruined, the rest is almost completely powered.--Thadeous Oakley 23:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

December 8th

Edmund General Hospital has been the site of multiple acts of ruin and reclamation on Shearbank's northern border. So far a group of ~30 Zeds have been able to overrun it numberous times over the weekend, but abandon it for relatively rapid survivor reclamation. Reports of Zed activity in the SW centered around Nisbet NT persist.--The Envoy 05:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Lazarus General Hospital is ruined with 30 Zombies on it, Whippey NT it lit, and earlier Nisbet was Lightly barricaded. 03:51, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

What kind of statement is that? Anyway, that is not news and its POV. Its actually getting safer, unless the MOB comes, and since your a MOB member I assume that you mean that in which case you should just say it instead of making such a vague comment.--Thadeous Oakley 10:44, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Edmund fell but was retaken and is now powered. Same for Nisbet NT, its powered aswell now. Lessey Lane PD still stands though still no working generator inside. Around 80-100 zeds outside yet amazingly Shearbank is still safe enough to be yellow.--Thadeous Oakley 15:50, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Yet it is Orange, given the criteria of orange/dangerous: Dangerous:hostile mobs of 50+ & Moderate:50+ hostile hordes. 01:56, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Technically "mobs" refers to stacks on the same square, stupid as that may sound. Even if the 108-strong MOB rolls into some suburb, that doesn't technically count as a "hostile mob" unless at least 50 are all in the one square. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 19:13, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Nisbet NT is ruined, Lessey Lane PD is looking to fall. Lazarus is up, powered. Edmund is unpowered, with 30 Zombies outside. Whippey is lit. -- 06:09, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Chenery Cinema is now infested with pkers.--Cap'n'cupcake 22:48, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Stickling Mall is holding up, but other resource points are under significant zombie attack, including Lazarus Hospital and the Nisbet NT building. --Pedentic 19:17, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Past Regimes of Shearbank

The Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs (DARIS) claimed to control the suburb for a period that began September 8th, 2005 and ended September 21st, 2005 (13 days). DARIS attempted to kill any non-member who entered the suburb, human or zombie during this period. The Shearbank Liberation Army formed in opposition to this and stated that it aimed to defeat DARIS and end the group's self-proclaimed control of Shearbank. Other non-affiliated residents – human, as well as zombie – began entering the suburb, causing the suburb to become even more of a war zone than the rest of the city and, arguably, the focal point of Maltonian politics. Ultimately, the rule of DARIS in Shearbank came to a close, and without a strong infrastructure, Shearbank was disorganised, and remained so for quite some time.
