Dunningwood is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast corner of the city. Several interesting buildings and locations of note within Dunningwood include the Halliday Building [96,25] and The First Church of Xenu [91,27].

Dunningwood - The monument capital of Malton!

Before the so-called "Malton Incident" Dunningwood was known for the many artists who lived and worked within the suburb. This fact alone would have led many to believe that Dunningwood should have been considered one of the most creative suburb's in all of Malton, if not for the fact that most of the artwork did not remain here. As there was only a single museum, the Halberry, within the entire suburb most artists ended up selling their works to museums in Pescodside and Dulston, contributing instead to their "Museum Mile" exhibits. The suburb was certainly not known for it wealth, but the artists did help by contributing some of their works as public monuments scattered across Dunningwood. The Feltham Monument, the Hamblett Monument, the Faknaham Monument, the Shoemark Monument, and the Sutcliffe Monument all exhibited some of the best artwork the suburb's artists had to offer... other suburbs.

During the outbreak, Dunningwood was nearly deserted, with most of its inhabitants having been evacuated by military convoy. But even with this being the case not everyone was able to flee Malton before the quarantine was in place, which in some cases included military personnel. Those soldiers and unevacuated civilians became the survivors who now populate the nearly deserted suburb. They managed to survive by barricading many of the now abandoned buildings and hoping to fight-off the zombies wandering the streets.

In the months that followed zombies were the first to emerge as a threat to the locals, with the Drunken Dead taking center stage. In those early months the Dunningwood Warriors and Devenish Rangers formed from among local survivors in order to help oppose the dangerous threat posed by these inebriated zombies. It was not long after that even the U.S. ARMY INFANTRY joined in the fight. Since those early days the original Devenish Rangers have disbanded only to return months later as a smaller, yet more experienced group, while the zombies of the Drunken Dead appear fewer in number as their power has waned. Even so, zombie threats to the suburb have not disappeared as the Big Bash and the Militant Order of Barhah have shown local survivors. Who knows what the future holds?

Barricade Policy
While not enforced, the Dunningwood Barricade Plan is supported by survivors groups within the suburb. As a precaution survivors are advised to review the plan and be aware of potential barricade levels throughout Dunningwood. If the barricades at a specific location do not match the plan survivors have the right to lower or build them, but should know that lowering or putting up barricades may draw ire from survivors at that location.

Revive Points
Dunningwood has three revive points, each located across from its respective NecroTech facility. The Horler Square revive point is serviced by the Crampton Building; the Penni Street revive point is serviced by the The Vetch Building; and the Risdon Boulevard revive point is serviced by the Cater Building. No survivor groups have officially claimed ownership for any of these revive points, so survivors should considered them not to be monitored and wait times should vary according to this fact.

July

This suburb appears to be mostly, if not entirely, devoid of any living survivors. Scouts didn't see a single unruined building. A group of about 20-30~ zeds are scattered around Skarin Row Police Department, while a group of about ten or so are around Lord Boulevard Police Department.

All of a sudden, there is a large influx of zombies into the suburb. The undead intentionally struck the three Necrotech buildings, with at least a dozen of them attacking each. The Crampton Building is down. Cater and Vetch are still able to hold the assault for the moment. -- Kittithaj 22:24, 5 May 2011 (BST)

Things to do while in Dunningwood

  • A Religious/Cult Experience! - The First Church of Xenu will help you learn all about how to cherish and protect your precious Thetans. So why not drop by and be enlightened? Lord Xenu himself might one day visit and whisk us all away in his giant spaceship to a safer place! Like the zombies would ever be so lucky! Hah! We also have free Thetan-enriched cookies.
  • Visit The Cult of the Crocodile at Skarin Row PD. Upon finding the first stuffed Crocodile at Skarin Row, shortly after it became fashionable to loot museums, the survivors who formed the Cult were overcome with visions of the Toothy Lord's glory. His enemy, the Alligator, works to undermine the Cult and the Holy PD alike, with it's zombie minions an ever present threat, but the Scales of the Crocodile protect us, and His Jaws crush those who would destroy us. Zombies are also welcome to Braarz za Grargargarah, but are fairly likely to be shot. --Cman yall 20:35, 5 August 2008 (BST)
  • The Five Monuments - Tired of looking inside buildings all day long? Not getting enough exercise? Looking for fresh air and the chance to see some inspiring artwork? Then why not visit the five monuments that gave the suburb its catchy name? The Faknaham, Feltham, Hamblett, Shoemark, and Sutcliffe Monuments will fill your heart with joy, and if not, feel free to tag them until they do.
  • Enjoy Grea- err, "Edible" Food! - McZeds' Dunningwood branch, managed by Ivanchamarradepiel, can be found located at the former Farr Library building, which is conveniently found at [97,25].
