20081224 Monroeville rounds.

Nitalo 03:13, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Improvement.

Suggestion scope
Monroeville.

Suggestion description
Okay, I knwo that things that totally reset the maps are bad, but we could have a map that is known to reset whenever one side or the other wins. This would make it so that players could accept a character oss pretty easily, as they know what will happen. By a Monroeville map, in case it is not known, I mean that Zombies can permanently die from headshots, and zombification is permanent. This is my first suggestion, and I obviously hope that it goes through. I would love to do another Monroeville.

Kill Votes

  1. Weak Kill - Having a map reset when it becomes stale might be interesting, however I don't think that it would stop it from being stale. I like to explore new areas, not the same areas with new(ish) people. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 03:28, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  2. Kill - As Blake. Monoreville is dead. Let it rest in peace. Linkthewindow  Talk  04:15, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  3. Kill - A reset still might not get rid of the stale feeling, and it would upset people who still like playing on the map in question. More details should be worked out, which can be done by using Developing Suggestions. --ZsL 15:01, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  4. Change People joined up to monroeville knowing what would happen. If a NEW city was to be created that was known to have a reset date I would have no problem with that. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:20, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  5. Change - As Rosslessness. I agree it would be fun to have a real high-stakes game of survival where consequences are "permanent", yet still allow a fresh start after a while. Resetting existing characters: BAD. A new city that resets once Zombie/Survivor ratio reaches a certain imbalance or after a set period of time: maybe good? --aClashInRedSnowHand logo.png|talk 21:26, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Auto Spam - DO NOT RESET PEOPLE'S CHARACTERS! You might have abandoned your Monroeville character because your trenchie tactics got you killed, but there are other player, both survivor and zombie still playing that map and who will continue to play there. And now you want to invalidate all their good work? Die in a fire. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 06:34, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  2. Spam - Monroeville is dead and should remain dead. This suggestion totally messes with people's characters, therefore it should be considered spam. And use this page next time. --  19:30, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  3. Spam - As above. Monreoville is over. Deal with it. --WanYao 19:34, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  4. Spam --Pestolence(talk) 20:05, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  5. Whale meat - Nein. 22:31, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  6. Spam - Enough suggestions on what to do with Monroeville. Kevan will probably just get rid of it anyways because it was only a promotional event. --Diablor 22:47, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  7. Spam - This has been suggested several times and each time it has been shot down. Please stop suggesting this, its not going to work. -- Cheese 16:39, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
  8. Span - This suggestion does not contribute anything. Kevan does not need our help on this kind of issue. Also, the server obviously can't cope with two cities. I don't want that kind of lag again. --Kooks 23:36, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
