| The suburb boasts a small group of dedicated survivors and a small group of equally-dedicated zombies. No major mobs of either, just dribs and drabs. The central part of the suburb around the Bagnall Building changes hands every few days. So, not deadly, but also not stable. Updated danger level to Dangerous. --[[User:Holtzfeller|Holtzfeller]] 04:35, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

| Passed through on my way east last night. By my count there are some 60 or so odd zeds gathered in and around Lyng St. and its surrounding buildings, dragging out survivors ad feasting in the streets. there are a few survivors holed up here and there with no real strong point or central defense. It's a sorry sight. The place is in a bad way. -EzKobra-

| Dartside has gone from a quiet little burb to a dangerous place in the space of a few days. I'm living proof...or, actually, not-living. The Schalch Hotel was overrun, and I was killed while in a drunken stupor (which is how I usually fall asleep since the outbreak). There are 19 zeds at the nearby Necrotech facility. I'll update the threat level as soon as I post this. -- Roberto Tomba (http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=442711) 23:30, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

| Overall the suburb has returned to normal. Small groups of zeds hither and yon but the only constant undead presence are the St. Ferreol lot. They don't appear to be present in great numbers though. --[[User:Holtzfeller|Holtzfeller]] 22:49, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Dartside is a suburb of Malton, located in the south of the city. In times past, it was a industrial and working-class neighborhood, inhabited, like Greentown, largely by immigrants or the close descendents thereof. After the industrial boom ceased in the '50s, the suburb fell on hard times, with only four of the factories remaining open and the empty lots turning into wasteland by the mid-'70s. Although experience economic difficulties, Dartside retained a large number of railroads, which during its better days carried raw materials to the factories and finished good away. The suburb has a high number of hospitals. Before the outbreak, it had the 4th largest population of all suburbs.
