Gibsonton is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast section of the city. One of the more important buildings within the suburb is Oram Walk PD, which was considered one of the most prominent safe houses in the early days following the initial outbreak. Home of St. Matthew's Cathedral. Gibsonton came to the public's attention during the Imperium Must Die invasion of April 2008 and has since been a target for PKers.

Before the Outbreak, Gibsonton was a depressing working class district, with several factories and warehouses. A Cathedral had long stood that served the workers who lived here, and a number of pubs opened up to give them a place to chill after a long day of work. After the 1980s, few factories remained, and the local officials turned to tax incentives for white collar jobs and tourism, the latter which centered around the beautiful Cathedral and newly opening museums as attractions. The pubs continued to make good business, now with higher prices for the tourists, but the pub-owners maintained lower prices for the blue-collar locals, who would mug the tourists and confess their vices the next morning in the Cathedral.

March 28th

NecroWatch has reported in from The Ducat NT Building with a scan showing 9 zombies at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 3 zombies each at The Cahill Building and The Goulding Hotel, 2 each at The Bradnam Arms, Lang Drive and Germain Way, and a scattering of single zombies all across the map. A total of 30 zombies were counted. --BLusk 15:15, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

March 27th

There appears to be an increase in zombie activity in the area, at least 20. Some buildings have been broken into and the Barricade plan is currently unreliable. -- Alcalon 01:49, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

March 21st

Overcading seems to be a serious problem, lots of survivors caught out in the open but several buildings are being reduced to VSB and the fact that these survivors are still standing is an indicator of the sheer safety of the area. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 17:48, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

March 21st Entry Mentions Over Cading is a Problem, Noyce Plaza at the Bottem-Middle of Gibsonton, is Always at VSB, if your Running out of AP heres somewere to Go. -- Yin117 15:02, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

March 16th

NecroWatch reported in from the Patterson Building. A recent scan had revealed the shocking truth. There was 1 zombie within scanning range... and he looked dangerous, even if he wasn't actually in Gibsonton. Anyone wondering where all the zombies they once heard so much about went need only turn their attention to Dulston... but locals around the Patterson facility can rest easy for now. --Mobius 12:36, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

25.96 MHz: "... a couple of dozen in Gibsonton ... they're just wandering around ... power's on across most of the area ... infrastructure looks intact too ... the Canner Building has lights on ..." -- Kittithaj 07:06, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

After weeks with no sightings, the following groups have been removed from Gibsonton's group listing.

Barricade Plan

More information about the is available at this page. Link for tagging: http://tinyurl.com/yfkcw4

This is the Barricade Plan for the suburb of Gibsonton.

This diagram shows what levels buildings should ideally be barricaded to in order to provide protection in the form of Extremely Heavily Barricaded buildings, whilst designating entry points in the form of Very Strongly Barricaded buildings. Please note this plan indicates the preferred levels of barricades, and not the current levels.

If you wish to discuss alterations to this plan, please use the talk page.

If you need to edit the barricade plan, go to Template:Gibsonton. If changes are made, please be sure to also edit the Barricade Policy section of the page for any buildings affected.
