20071113 Uses for excess XP

Wiki 10:35, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Skill addition/extension

Suggestion scope
Maxed out users

Suggestion description
Quite Simply, survivors/Zombies at their max levels could spend extra xp to upgrade their HP, AP capacity, attack percentage or search percentages a limited amount, maybe 10 percent each. With a high XP cost, maybe 200-300 for 1% increase on one, this would encourage players to keep playing after being maxed out, and help distinguish the really experienced survivors. Alternatively, another zombie hunter skill called "leadership" or "commander" that could increase the attacking capacity a small amount 5%? of a survivor when a commander is in the same building. Naturally, multiple commanders would not result in multiple advantages. A zombie equivalent could also be used for group break-ins. Again, this would cost large amounts of xp, to appeal to the maxed out characters. Overall, this would be a small enough gain to be worth it, but not large enough to disadvantage one side or make users overpowered.

  1. I have produced a similar suggestion like this. Although, not really a dupe, I do believe mine is a bit better. I believe it's somewhere in Undecided. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 10:41, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Kill - If people don't want to play after maxing out, that's their problem. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 10:46, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - History has shown that even slight changes in search rates have massive knock on effects in the game. Given that most people who have been playing for a few months have in excess of 1000 exp banked (and it just goes on from there), this amounts to a massive across the board buff, especially to survivors (10 fuckin percent search buff? You have got to be joking). --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 10:44, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Spam - this is definitely a Dupe, and has been through here before. The problem is that you create uber-players. I think it's the reason why no new skills get implemented these days. They just add to what the top-level can already do, and expand the difference between noob and vet. By the way, in PR, there's Elite Skillz, and this very general XP spending idea. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 11:41, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

  5. Spam - Wow... could you imagine having 100AP to play around with? Or 100 HP? As Grim and others, this is a no and quite possibly a dupe --Ryiis 15:08, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
  6. Spam - Flak jacket, 70 HP. PASS. --Druuuuu 20:06, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

  8. Spam - This needs some huge toning down, but with that it's probably a dupe. Yay. – Nubis 21:54, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
  9. Spam - gamebreaking. --Pavluk A! E! 23:13, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
