Catherine Cushing #2308753 THENCatherine Cushing had just graduated from engineering school with a degree in civil engineering. After working hard for so many years, Catherine had treated herself to a our of England. Because of the sudden outbreak, Catherine ended up trapped in Malton, like the others. She almost immediately began collecting materials to construct suspension bridges across the streets, as she recognized that this would open some avenues of safer passage around town. Additionally, it offered the opportunity to use many of the roofs as garden and poultry breeding areas, secure from all but the evil and the deranged. Zombies cannot climb ladders.
Being from Oregon, where most people are hard-working and self-reliant, Catherine managed to trap some rabbits, whose babies became domesticated and live in hutches on the various roofs in the network. Early on, she kept an eye out for ducks and anything that could be used in a soup pot, such a guinea pigs, cavies. The ducks lay eggs and the cavies have bred very prolifically. She also took cuttings from a variety of plants and pocketed any herb or vegetable seeds she found knocked onto the floors of shops. People were looking for tinned food, but they weren't thinking about how they were going to be eating in the months ahead. The months turned to years...
She is ingenious and has thought of many methods for constructing catwalks as well as rope bridges out of discarded bits of this broken city. NOWCat is working hard to learn the best ways of helping her friends. She is working for a dedicated revival organization in Fryerbank, helping out as best she can.
