Your Brain

Hey, you know that brain image you used as the backdrop for the NW advertisement prototype? Can you send me that image? Full resolution and all that? Thanks. CITIZEN VI 04:43, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Sure...what's your email?. Mine is ..........--Dr Mycroft Chris 07:08, 2 May 2009 (BST)
You can use the email user function ;). Linkthewindow  Talk  07:11, 2 May 2009 (BST)
I thought about that, but it doesn't seem I can send any attachments. Otherwise, send me an email and I will reply to that. This way you don't have to publicize your email account--Dr Mycroft Chris 07:18, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Penny Heights MEMS

If you are interested in being part of an organized effort in Penny Heights, let's start the dialog here--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:07, 14 June 2008 (BST)

Mycroft - nice to know we're not alone. My comrade, Sophie, and I have been trying to rally support for the retaking of Penny Heights since it was smashed by the RRF last month. We've been chased out of one safehouse fater another, scouting as we go, but have somehow managed to keep alive and keep reviving and FAKing. We heard your broadcast over the Penny H eights band - just about the first thing to come over that band all month - and have now come to join you at Lumber. If you'd be interested in working alongside us to reclaim and rebuild this poor shattered suburb, let's start a dialogue. You can find me on my talk page, or you can talk to both Sophie and myself at User talk:Hashk/Sophie Ames. Damn glad to know we're not along in the job anymore. --DubStreet 23:50, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Mycroft - Tomkyns is now up and running. Just poured the last drop of fuel in the generator. Phone service is restored to Penny Heights, and with it, civilization! (Well, maybe not civilization, just yet...) --DubStreet 07:22, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
And now Rothwell is powered too, doc, in case this makes a difference in your itinerary :) Zeds won't be too pleased, I'm sure, but we'll try to make them listen to reason. Would you kindly add me to your contacts, so we can exchange text messages? These are Dub and Zip, if you haven't them already. --Sophie Ames --19:06, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Back in PH, got killed over at Phipps, currently in junkyard...zombiefied!--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:41, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Hey doc. Sorry to bug you, we have a bit of a situation in Rothwell. I'm currently waiting for Dub, we may have to coordinate a joint strike or something. Let us know when you're available. --Sophie Ames 01:24, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Sent you a text message, re: my location and what's in stock, got a text from Dub, will acquire a genny first thing ASAP--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Doc, me again. We're terribly worried about you. Quoting Dub: Dr. Chris is in Sully Bank, with a RRF spy "BRAINS BRAINS I WANT BRAINS" and Buffygirl. Are you online? Can you join us in Odo? --Sophie Ames 06:40, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Doc, sent you a text message with information about how to contact us to coordinate strategy. Check it when you can, it will make it easier for us to talk. --DubStreet 04:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I'm on it! have joined the private forum and thanks for the care, it means the world to me, really it does. Check forum for more info. I'm proud to part of this team, Penny Heights is worth saving!--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Dr Mycroft Chris, I got your message on my Wiki... thanks for invite but sorry no can do, Penny Heights is quite a distance from Huntley Heights where we are based. But the One Man & His Dog wishes you and comrades good luck in your mission. --Kip SaundersT OM&HD 00:15, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Quick heads up, no reply needed, sending here in case it makes you log in earlier: there's a KOS PKer in your building. Probably just resting, but still... --Sophie Ames 17:22, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Apologies

I got your message today, sorry I don't check Wiki very often. So sorry for shooting you on the RP I don't remember doing that!! I am usually pretty good at not shooting @ zeds on a RP. It was either not tagged at the time or I just missed the obvious, who knows! Sorry again! :)--Kip Saunders 23:19, 8 May 2008 (BST)

Apology accepted! I will remove the notice ASAP. As a side note, I believe you. Your profile didn't have the ring of some PKing scum I've since ran across. If I can be of assistance in the future, do not hesitate to contact me--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:39, 11 May 2008 (BST)
Many thanks for being reasonable for an honest mistake, as so many people in this game would hunt me down and blow my head off for less LOL. So in gentlemanly fashion I, if I ever see you swaying undead anywhere or in need of FAK, will of course expend my APs happily --Kip Saunders 00:15, 20 May 2008 (BST)
Wow! The system works! You never know where I might be; it's good to make your acquaintance, though. Who knows? We may very well find ourselves, trapped, in some NT against a horde someday and an extra FAK or boomstick will come in handy.--Dr Mycroft Chris 07:49, 21 May 2008 (BST)

Officer Butterman of the CCPD

As stated on the CCPD of Santlerville talk page, I'm very sorry for the actions of CCPD Officer Butterman who killed you when you were zombified and trying to get revived at an RP. After he did this, he came into the CCPD and reported his kill and said there were more gathered there for others to kill. He is new to the game and didn't know that it was an RP or what an RP was. I explained it to him so it won't happen again. It was an honest rookie mistake and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Should you need revivification, please come to our sponsored RP (a wasteland [78,21]) and I will be happy to revivify you myself. --Dorothy Zbornak 13:05, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I have removed the screenshots notice and understand. I will not hold it against Office Butterman in the future and look forward to working with him and the rest of the CCPD. Meanwhile, I'm at the Dowdney Mall if I can be of any assistance. Feel free to delete this entire post if it seems appropriate and pass on my remarks to Officer Butterman.--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:18, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

How it going? How's TMS treating you, are they coping well with the upsurge? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:10, 20 April 2008 (BST)

Good! Thanks for asking, back in Penny Heights. We have a mini-siege going on here (only >100 zeds 'burb wide), so, it's keeping me on my toes. Forgive me, maybe I'm too much of a noob, but "TMS"? By the way, I had no idea that you were one helluva NecroTech as well, WOW!--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:42, 21 April 2008 (BST)
As in tik, medical services? Im trying to get a grasp on how well various local groups are going, as part of a plan i have to start a group that kind of acts like a recruitment agency. I try to necrowatch it up, but recent events have gotten on top of me!--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:42, 23 April 2008 (BST)
Truth be told, I haven't had much contact with Central and more than a few contacts I have from them haven't been seen in the city for quite some time, so... I'm freelancing it where I began, Penny Heights. Also, last I knew they were 3 'burbs over. Enjoy being a doctor, though. Jobs getting a little easier with skill level upgrades.--Dr Mycroft Chris 06:03, 24 April 2008 (BST)
That first level is always the hardest! I'm back in vinetown, the zeds are in single figures for the whole burb, spending time maintaining the barricade plan. Yes its that empty. Although saying that its not fair that your skills as a doctor make gaining xp harder. I know what you mean about freelancing. I'm a freelancer with good links with a number of groups, which has helped me no end. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:17, 28 April 2008 (BST)

May 2008

It is! It was very empty in Penny Heights, so I decided to do a tour of SE Malton, all the NTs, that is. It is also giving me an opportunity to see the various groups, how they operate or rather co-operate. The best so far? THEM--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:28, 3 May 2008 (BST)

THEM in the South East? I always run into them in Chancelwood. Very good group. I'm only 4 NTs of the south east recon badge myself. ID probably Nominate M.E.R.C.Y. as another stalwart candidate. Good reviving group, with a strong RP background and excellent work being the linchpin of a lot of survivor work in Vinetown. Look at the suburb report history page, and note how the burb recovered form the dead in a week, and got rebuilt with such efficiency after the 2nd Big Bash, that they came back to hit us again..... --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:35, 4 May 2008 (BST)
You are absolutely correct, THEM is not SE but NE in Chancelwood. I'm currently at Bunstone Alley (all is ransacked within sight), zombiefied so I just might make a trek over there and resume SE scans here in West Grayside after the horde passes through. Don't quote me, but after looking at the 'burb map for Malton, it looks the zeds are in a giant counter-clockwise movement around Malton. Also, I can't believe it, but Ridleybank is green!?!--Dr Mycroft Chris 04:32, 5 May 2008 (BST)
For more general patterns (think zombie weather reports) go to the suburb page and click on the link to the scentdeath map. Its a good indication of where the zeds are. Im in Blackmore now, getting another ribbon. Ah the joys. If you get bored, try looking HERE --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:23, 6 May 2008 (BST)

I like the sound of that...jabbing my across Malton! And yeah, I ran across the zombie weather report map last week, very interesting. Well, in the mean time I've joined MEMS, so I can try to get a more concerted effort in Penny Heights going. Is this a good idea? Just asking...--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:44, 11 May 2008 (BST)

yeah, i gathered your initial encounters was not the best. Did you not tell the PK'ers it was your first day?

I have to admit Penny Heights is right on the periphery of my major stomping ground. I'd probably have a chat with User:Acoustic Pie . We used to run a zombie group together and he's a big cheese in Lumber Mall Security. So his feedback will probably be better than mine. And stop catching up with me on the necrowatch list! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:25, 11 May 2008 (BST)

Man, it is good to be back on the road again! Thanks for the tip, when back in PH I'll look up Acoustic...and look out I'm scanning NTs again...mwuah ha ha ha ...--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:30, 26 May 2008 (BST)

Organizing Penny Heights

Hello there. Penny Heights is experiencing an artificial population boom right now. Normally, the biggest population centers are the two malls (50-75 in Joachim, 40-80 in Lumber), a mishmash of loners and groups. Other areas where residents congregate are the two hospitals (12+) where the Lumberjacks make their home and the newbie-accessible safehouses, Normandare Boulevard Police Department (6-12) and Hagger Square Fire Station (3-9), and the two NT Buildings (6-12). But with the horde of undead rampaging through Malton, we have a lot of refugees.

The older groups (e.g. the Lumberjacks, StarCake Faction) have plenty of L41 players, but they rarely participate in the Wiki pages for Penny Heights. They've got their own websites. The newer organizations make more noise, but I don't know what the levels are for most of their members. Organizing a suburb-wide response, other than huddle up in the Malls and NT Buildings, solely through the Wiki is not possible. It has to be done in-game as well.

Getting all those players to work as one is going to require a lot of AP. There are too many small groups with their own ideas that are quite vocal. There are also older groups that will do their own thing regardless of what's being shouted around on the radio. To get people to listen to your ideas, you have to air your propaganda on a daily basis. You have to out-shout everyone else and bombard the residents with your words. Do that long enough, and people will listen. --The Masked Lurker 08:01, 21 April 2008 (BST)

Thanks for your timely response. So, in peace time we're looking at a population of >200? Wow...that is not a lot. I also agree with your succinct summation of PH groups. Regardless, we should still have an easy to find & implement plan that is well known ahead of time. I guess that is what has me dumbfounded, there is so much on the wiki about PH and yet it seems so disorganized in the 'burb itself.--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:40, 22 April 2008 (BST)

Lumber Mall

Hello, I think I saw you in the north of Lumber. And I was wondering, is there anyway you could screenshot the account between myself, a scarab beetle, jamjar wasp trap and an Infection (who was Pked shortly after me I believe)? If not then okay, but it would be really helpful if you could. Thank you. Acoustic Pie 19:30, 26 April 2008 (BST)

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I am infact Mokeman, so yes, if possible it would be helpful. Just take a shot and put it on our forum here. You will not be involved in any way other than just showing me exactly what happened. Whatever you have regarding it would be helpful. Thank you once again and good job with the radio archives. Acoustic Pie 19:32, 26 April 2008 (BST)
Done! Didn't see scarab there though--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:42, 26 April 2008 (BST)
Much obliged, thank you very much for your help. I've provided the group with a link to the image from my own image account so you don't get involved into the deal. Please keep up the good work with the radio archives, I can't tell you howuseful they have been lately! You're on my whitelist (which is good) so if I see you in need of a heal/revive I'll do it. Acoustic Pie 21:06, 26 April 2008 (BST)

June

Welcome aboard with the big prickers. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:23, 3 June 2008 (BST)

Thanks! Been out of the loop for awhile, but am making my way back to Penny Heights. C.R.A.P.d my first zed when I was in Pimbank. I think the tactical ideas of The Big Prick are very interesting, it basically gives us a force multiplier of 5 to 1. In case of infestation, whoa! A small band of dedicated survivors can do some real damage and turn the tide. Cleanup operations can be equally effective. This is also a great response to Salt the Earth.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:35, 3 June 2008 (BST)
Its a lot easier to inject that last zed and dump repair cade ,then to waste ammo when they'll just get up again. Especially in dark buildings. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:37, 3 June 2008 (BST)
Exactly! That's where I got the idea from. Scouting around, noticed a building that was dark/ruined. Went over and can't free run into it and it was caded to EHB. So, tore down the cades, got inside...damn, there was a zed, what to do, what to do...then I remembered I had a jabber on me but no weapons. Aha! jab 'em, only 10 AP, it could have cost easily twice that with ammo. Dump the body, recade the building and back to safety.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:47, 3 June 2008 (BST)

July

Why are you complaining to the BPE?--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:00, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Humor...I realized after that post and a little research, that is was pointless. You'll almost never find me ranting but it felt good. I'm sooooo close to getting my SE Malton NT Badge and that guy slowed my roll--Dr Mycroft Chris 09:52, 5 July 2008 (BST)
Just didn't want to see you banging your head against a brick wall. congrats on the badge! SE is the hardest to get!--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:23, 5 July 2008 (BST)

The thunderous applause in your head.

Clap, clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap .

Well done on the recon badge. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:46, 13 July 2008 (BST)

Thanks, Dude!...--Dr Mycroft Chris 06:02, 14 July 2008 (BST)

Spare?

Afternoon. Looking at your scan I see that penny heights seems v.dull. As such I was wondering? Do you use all three alts? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:46, 27 August 2008 (BST)

Rosslessness! Great to hear from you. I have only 1 alt here in Malton; Det Marlowe in Osmondville. Now, M'ville was a different story. And damn is Penny Heights quiet...but he'll be along if you need 'em--Dr Mycroft Chris 15:51, 27 August 2008 (BST)
I'd just like so steer one of your alts towards 404: Barhah not found who are always interested in well organised survivors.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 09:20, 30 August 2008 (BST)

Survivors

Do you know of any other survivors in Monroeville? I fear I may be the only one. User:Ryan Shuck 20:46, 7th September 2008

Survivors in M'ville? Haven't seen one in weeks...I'm aiming to be the last zed standing--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:18, 10 September 2008 (BST)

NecroWatch

I hope you do not mind, but I took the liberty of adding your latest, although so far only, scan to your total scans (in relation to NecroWatch). Normally this isn't an issue for me as a majority of the member profiles on the NecroWatch Members wikipage, but as this was your own template I felt I should mention it. Also, if you were interested in reporting scans again I wanted to make sure the same scan was not counted twice. For book-keeping purposes and all that. Anywho, I do hope that you return to reporting scans. For my part new scans will be reported in the local suburb news for whichever NT you happen to report from at the time. Well, good luck. --Mobius 13:38, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm back on the road again. Will do NE Malton, See ya soon!--Dr Mycroft Chris 08:28, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I figured since we had this topic still here, why not re-use it? I wanted to inquire as to whether you would be interested in an additional task. Normally when a new scan is posted by a NecroTechnician there are 3 other updates which should occur. The first is updating your total scans in the Members list, the second is adding your signature to the NT Index (Recon) sub-page if it's the first time you have reported from that particular NT building. The last duty, which is purely optional, is to report your scan in the suburb's news. I've been doing this for some time, as have others I have asked to do so and who were interested in the job, so there should be plenty of examples around. I suggest re-using older news posts and just adjusting the facts (i.e. how many zombies total appeared in your scans, where were the largest gatherings of zombies by location name). The only complexity comes in when you report from multiple NT buildings, as I opt to account (not recount) for zombies in scan overlap areas... otherwise the zombie total will be an inflated number. Obviously if you post two or more scans in the same day, but over a period of time wherein the zombies move around... that requires a notice that your total is an estimate. By now you are either very bored or very interested in what I have just said. If so, great, go forth and add your name to every suburb's news. Become semi-famous even! But most importantly, spread the word of NecroWatch, for information is power. --Mobius 14:51, 7 April 2009 (BST)
Of course, I'm interested! Someday I plan to be so far up in the Signature Race that maybe I'll even beat Matthew Fahrenheit's total. Anyway, sure, I could add that to my normal rounds. The overlap thing is a bit though. How do you manage it? And yes, I agree, the activities of NecroWatch need to be publicized if not for any other reason than to attract other motivated techies...10 involved people just can't do the system proper service. We need like 50, at least. BTW, I spoke with Commie Woman @ THEM, said hi on behalf of NW...who knows? Also, I used to be a more active member of MEMS, part of DEM, but I noticed that they (DEM) also have a branch that deals with NTs...if they are active, recruitment possibilities?--Dr Mycroft Chris 00:42, 8 April 2009 (BST)
To answer your questions, if I am looking at multiple scan images I usually go straight to the NecroWatch scan repository first, as all the scans for a suburb are located there in one spot, save you trouble switching between scans/browsers. Then I open up a browser with the suburb's map (so I can view all the locations in the suburb), and third I open a browser to Edit the suburb's news. Between these three browsers just use the NecroWatch repository to compare scans. Use the suburb map to locate where the NT buildings are relative to one another and move from one to the other in a progressive direction (i.e. start with NTs at the bottom of a suburb, and work your way to the ones at the top). I sometimes use the Windows Calculator to tally zombie totals, but at the same time I use it to cover the overlapped scan area, on a scan image, between two buildings. Then I just count the non-overlapped area (obviously after counting the overlap area on the first scan location). Then I just repeat it for each scan area until I have them all. It's easier when there are fewer zombies. Phew! I hope that helps. You are free to chat-up anyone you think would be interested in joining NecroWatch, so long as they are made aware that it's just a project meant to provide added fun in UD and not a group. --Mobius 13:44, 8 April 2009 (BST)
Thanks! I would like to start with the 'burbs I am going through, get that done and added to my routine then expand from there.--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:49, 9 April 2009 (BST)

Strike

Hey Marlowe, FYI: we're hitting the NT at midnight, zulu time. See details in forum, I left you a couple PMs. Hope you can make it, hug and kiss for you. --Sophie Ames 12:11, 2 April 2009 (BST)

I'll be there with bells on!--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:16, 2 April 2009 (BST)

Halp

Hi. Well it seems I finally screwed up enough to get us all to the brink of death, beyond hope :( Well, in all honestly, it wasn't entirely my fault. Anyway, I'm hiding in a ruin, infected, 4 HP. I think Rogue managed to hide too, all the others are dead or being eaten. I really don't think we'll make it, but just in case you see this soon and can help me: StS in Fryer. XO --Sophie Ames 17:08, 22 April 2009 (BST)

Wait wait, belay that, I got out against all odds. I think best you don't come here now, no easy escape. Making my way through Pennville now, headed for Scarlet on advice from Freudstein. I'll talk to you in the forum, or ring you when I can. XO --Sophie Ames 18:33, 22 April 2009 (BST)
Ok...Marlowe is on his way nonetheless. He's now got 10 guns, 5 pistol clips & 2 jabbers. And yes, it looks like hell has taken over down south--Dr Mycroft Chris 18:50, 22 April 2009 (BST)
Good, because I miss you like mad, heh. Yeah, be careful south of Houldenbank, last time I was there I couldn't see a single building not ruined. We're all in Scarlet now, we'll revive our dead and get supplies around Showers, so that'll be 2 days min. Then we'll tackle the Heights again, but maybe starting in Fryer. I'll keep you posted. --Sophie Ames 08:14, 23 April 2009 (BST)
Anderson Towers, Fryer. See you soon! --Sophie Ames 08:20, 27 April 2009 (BST)
We're now in the love shack and/or that club close by. --Sophie Ames 07:17, 29 April 2009 (BST)

Scouting Greentown

Hey Dr. sorry I didn't get back to you until now, I haven't been on my wiki page. I thank you for noting my post sometimes I'm not sure if anyone reads those or if they help. Unfortunately, I am no longer in Greentown, I tend to go to the where ever the hotspots are on the westside and lend my hands to the Survivors. On top of that I have become lax in my wiki posting, but I want to get back into it, so let me know about Necrowatch. How do I join? what responsibilities come along with it? Let me know the survivors need all the help that we can get.--Knife Of Honor 19:49, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Not only are your scans/scout reports read and appreciated but they will be rewarded...ultimately with cake! Sweet delicious cake! (no milk) It can seem more than a little daunting to start with NecroWatch, but I recommend going to the site and beginning with Resources. There's a lot of info but simply put, when you access NecroNet in game, take a screenshot, and post it where appropriate. Each scan adds up and there are all kind of awards you can acquire. Joining NW is simple, we'll put your name up and...voila!, you're done. Unfortunatley, there are no secret handshakes.--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:12, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Sounds like a good group to get involved with I will read up on you guys and let you know good sir.--Knife Of Honor 19:06, 3 May 2009 (BST)
