Feeding Groan
description
After a building is rebarricaded it makes all the feeding groans previously released misleading. I suggest allowing zombies to warn their bretheren that a building has been rebarricaded by making any feeding groans made behind barricades "muffled". It'd be the same exact messages as currently, just the word muffled would be placed in their somewhere if made indoors behind barricades. You'd still need survivors present and all that jazz, it wouldn't change how feeding groan operates at all.
So if you find that a survivor has barricaded the building up to heavy around you and you want to warn zombies that there isn't an easy meal there anymore, just groan again to ward them off. This allows the listener to go after another groan that didn't have a muffled follow-up, or pick the barricades of their choice to attack.

- Keep -- Clever, I like this alot, would help me to figure out which groans NOT to follow.--Lord Evans 06:11, 4 May 2007 (BST)
- well, with new settings thingo zombies can ignore too old groans, but this is still helpfull --Duke GarlandLCD 07:31, 4 May 2007 (BST)

- Keep - Also a test edit made from the suggestions page. --Seb_Wiers VeM 17:50, 4 May 2007 (BST) Damn, Boxy makes a good point below. There's an obvious player tactics fix for that, though; don't groan again if the building is lightly barricaded, keep quiet instead. If the cades go up to VSB, THEN groan out the muffled groan. I'd rather require some zombie player intellegance, and allow survivors a bit of tactical defense, than make the thing fool proof, so I am NOT changing my vote. --Seb_Wiers VeM 16:55, 5 May 2007 (BST)
- Keep/Change - The revision suggested would be good, but I'll give the basic idea a Keep vote. The Hierophant. 15:15, 05 May 2007.
- Keep - As above. --Sonofagun18 18:00, 5 May 2007 (BST)
- Keep - The revision in the Kill section would be fine as well, but I like it as is. --Rgon 20:01, 9 May 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Muffled means barricaded, barricaded (90% of the time) means closed doors, closed doors mean no newbies withour MoL allowed. Good info. So the "QS or more" argument isn't that great. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 10:04, 14 May 2007 (BST)
- Keep - I think this would be quite useful. - JedazΣT MC ΞD CT SR: 09:33, 15 May 2007 (GMT)
- Keep - At the very least it tells you if you need to open a door for lower level zombies, or if you can't get in for the same reason. At best it tells that there are active players in the building and actually helps make groan slightly more effective, if they know someone is active they know who to hit when they get there.--karek 07:14, 16 May 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - Finding a loosely or even lightly barricaded building full of survivors is almost as good as a wide open one. If this only kicked in at quite strongly barricaded, or above, I'd vote keep -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 15:13, 4 May 2007 (BST)
