Making NecroNet more useful V2.0
Timestamp: | 00:34, 14 August 2006 (BST) |
Type: | Skill Change. |
Scope: | Faster Revive and Rotter Avoidance. |
Description: | This would make a slight change to NecroNet. when in a powered up NT building there would be a new button for those with NecroNet Access. The button would be called "NecroNet Census" (Say in voting if you know of a better name) upon clicking it a list of zombies are listed, along with their name so you could put it in yoour contacts list. Also while viewing the list you could add zombies on your contacts list to the list, also the NT building the name was added is next to the name. The list does not show zombie names from other suburbs, though. Upon being revived the name is removed from the list. The list automatically refreshes daily. This would obviously have the use for putting names of Mrh? Cows on a list for quicker revive ability, while avoiding Rotters (One Reviver tags the entire group, and puts the entire list on the NecroNet, for quicker revives) Also this would help breath life back into NecroNet, which would still be required to add and view names. This hopefully will be better, would it use GMT time or what? |

- Kill Nope, I did that with my Necronet upgrades. Sorry! :) -- Andrew McM W! 00:51, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Sorry pal, but this still violates zombie anonymity. So no. EDIT: Thank you Gage.--Paradox244 W! TJ! 00:37, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - This is just inviting people to spam this with false Rotter tags and the like. If I want spam I'll listen to the Radio, so until then no. --Officer Johnieo 00:45, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Spam - nerfs the fuck outta zombie anonymity--Gage 00:48, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Re - How? This would probably only be used for Revive Points.--Canuhearmenow 00:51, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Re - how doesn't it? Look up the definition of anonymity. Then look at your suggestion. It gives you the names doesn't it? That nerfs zombie anonymity. --Gage 00:57, 14 August 2006 (BST)

- Spam - Zombie anonimity was nerfed enough with the last implementation. You like to hurt it don't you? --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC | T | W! 03:08, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - This idea is cool, but it's imbalanced. It makes the necronet not only useful, but one of the most powerful tools in the entire game. I.E. If that's so, a necrotech building will be the MOST hit-up zombie building in all of the game. Reviving would slowly become a thing of the past v.v Anyway, I don't believe in zombie anonymity. Unless you're a bloody skeleton, you look like how you died. For example, that zombie movie where they headshot Jay Leno. --Rocky Minoma 07:48, 13 August 2006 (PST)
- Spam - What Gage said --Ed_Harken T|C4NT 05:46, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Spam - As above. Zombie Anonymity, Etc. --Rgon 06:15, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I like necronet being useful, I like easier in-game revive lists, but the DNA extractor upgrade is good enough as is, and zombies seem to like anonymity. --Burgan 06:26, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Spam Same as Gage. --Gold Blade 23:39, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Spam - As Gage. I like my anonymity when being a zombie. --Nob666 11:02, 14 August 2006 (BST)

Mod spaminated with 5 Spam, 2 Keep, 1 Kill. Reason: toying with the stack in this faction is disasterous — actually nerfing zombies. –Xoid S•T•FU! 15:11, 14 August 2006 (BST)
Brain Rot Anonymity
Timestamp: | ShadowScope 03:33, 14 August 2006 (BST) |
Type: | improvement |
Scope: | Brain Rotters |
Description: | Before I start, let me bring up what Kevan wrote for the description of the recent change:
"DNA extractions now permit a full readout of specimen information in the form of a profile link. This real-time access means that scanned specimens can now be revived immediately if necessary, rather than being lost in the crowd." As you can see, this change is to allow for people to be revived quicker. It is not meant for people to find and kill brain rotters clogging revive points. Clogging revive points is one of the draws of Brain Rot...and now that it is nerfed. What I propose is that those with Brain Rot, when scanned, do not come with a profile. The reason? Their Brain has rotted so much that DNA Scanners can't read anything useful. This allows for Brain Rotters to still clog revive points, giving use to a skill once more. Now, one can cause suriviors to spend an extra AP to "skip" the Brain Rotters. Brain Rotters could also, if lucky, be able to clog the DNA Scanner Line, forcing Suriviors to use the regural Revive Queue. This suggestion will restore allure to Brain Rot once more, and give it some more. Don't want suriviors to see your sacred profile? Get your brain rotted |

- Keep - No profile if you have brain rot, seems fair to me! --MrAushvitz03:37, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I don't like brain rot nor this suggestion, it was nerfed for a reason.--Blackie Chan03:37, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Of course you don't like Brain Rot. It's a zombie skill, trenchie. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 03:44, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I reeeaaallly don't like this idea. Not only does it make brain rotted zombies incapable of scanning, kinda nerfs the implementation for necrotech employees, allows them to clog up revive points "anonymously", rotters become frickin' scary. Nice idea though. --Rocky Minoma 07:54, 13 August 2006 (PST)
- Keep - Though my survivors hate zeds in revive lines, I truly miss being able to anonymously burn 10AP at a pop. --Darth Sensitive 05:09, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Keep - FEAR ME, FOR I AM CLOGGING THE LINE. HA HA HA HA!! SOON THE WORLD SHALL BE MINE!!! --Officer Johnieo 05:13, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill Revive points exist to balance out the fact that when a survivor is killed they have to be a zombie until revived, but when a zombie is revived they can become a zombie anytime they want. It already costs 30AP to revive someone, and requires that survivors control key resources. True it's easy to revive survivors. But it's even easier to become a zombie once you're revived. Urban Dead isn't about decisive victories normally but about maintaining balance between the two populations. --Jon Pyre 05:23, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Rotters shouldn't be able to clog the queue, that's just silly. "Oh no, this one zombie is a rotter and that is just so depressing that I won't examine any of the others"? Don't want survivors to see your sacred profile? Don't grief them by hanging out at revive points. If you hang out where you know you'll get scanned, you're going to get yourself shot. --Burgan 06:08, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Rotters are still clogging revive points. Their anonimity is currently protected by the failure rate of DNA extraction. Even though their profiles are occasionaly given out they must still be killed before that stack can be worked any further. --Max Grivas JG,T,P! 06:18, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - What he said Blazefire 07:26, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - What's the point? If your profile does not show, then you're obviously a rotter and must be killed. Besides, people will actually get people WITHOUT Brain Rot when scanning. The Profile Link is not just used to find rotters, it's also used to find people who need a revive and get them revived without having those rotters clog the queue. Ever thought of that logic? Kaylee Hans 08:14, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- kill - To be honest, I look at rotters standing at revive ques in the same way as I look at random revives. If someone wants to play as either a zombie/survivor, let them. Doing otherwise is bad for the game. The Mad Axeman 12:09, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Spam - I hate Brainrot, and my Zombies live in constant fear of the one misclick it would take for me to accidentally purchase it. This has happened to two of my friends, and they are very, very bitter about it. This would make it EVEN HARDER for brain rot zombies to get revived, so, um, no. --Gene Splicer 14:33, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Keep -Meh it is teh fuxorz. Well it would be good to see implimented into the game. Brainrot is a nerf in itself A trade of of some sort is needed. Nazreg 15:18, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Even if you manage to scan a rotter in the queue, it says "Error, Cortex Damaged" and will not scan past that user. So, it's pretty obvious that they're rotters. What's in your profile that you don't want anyone to see? --ERNesbittP·T·MalTel 16:11, 14 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill Yet another example of how survivors are slow to catch on. There no longer is any such thing as a Revive Queue. You can revive any survivor in the stack, simply by extracting them and adding their profile to your contact list, after which you can target them individually. You no longer have to revive the top person in the stack and there is no reason why smart survivors should be sticking needles in rotters - yet this still happens, because survivors are stupid. The only way rotters "clog" revive points is by making you spend a few AP to get their profile on the DNA extraction queue & then boomstick them. That's different altogether, and it's a balanced downside of revive points. Rheingold 00:00, 15 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I love it when Jon Pyre votes. Mainly because then I don't have to come up with my own reasons for hating stupid ideas and can just say: "As Jon Pyre". - David Malfisto 02:59, 15 August 2006 (BST)
- Kill - as Jon Pyre --Kiltric 23:20, 16 August 2006 (BST)
