And again...

It's been six months since the last Suburb Group Massacre. In order to keep the wiki as an up-to-date and reliable resource, we should probably do one of these every six months. This one shouldn't take as long as the last one (obviously, as most of the spam was removed last time.) For example, Pitneybank now has 18, while then it had 45.

What to do

Type {{Group Active?}} on a group's talk page. This produces this:

Stop hand.png Group Active? Request.
In order to maintain the wiki as an up to date source of information groups are occasionally removed from the Suburb pages when they are no longer active. Is this group still active? If so simply confirm here by writing something below. If not it will be removed from suburb pages in 14 days.

After two weeks, go back and check. If no response has been given, type {{Group Inactive?}}, producing this:

Stop hand.png Group Inactive?
No reply has been recieved as to whether this group is still active. The 14 days have passed and as such the groups link has been removed from suburb listings. If the group is again active please feel free to revert these changes

As a final courtesy add something to the news section of the suburb similar to this.

After weeks with no sightings group have been removed from the suburb.

If a reply has been given, change the ? in the {{Group Active?}} to a ! (leaving {{Group Active!}} This produces this:

Check-Mark-Reviewed.jpg Group Confirmed.
This group was confirmed active. Thank you for your reply.

Other Guidelines

  • Don't remove the groups in the Historical section
  • Ask stupid questions. We all know that the DEM is active, but a newbie won't
  • Like the last massacre, we are only checking general activity. We aren't checking where a group is active, only if they are active.
  • It's probably best if you use a different header from The Great Suburb Group Massacre. A lot of groups haven't archived the first one yet, so it's probably better to use a different header (like The Great Suburb Group Massacre, 2009) to prevent duplicate headers.

The List

All suburbs have been queried, and have had two weeks to confirm their activity. Those who have not replied have been removed from the suburb listings.

If you are part of an active group that has been removed, just add yourself back into the list.
