20071118 Look out of the windows

Zombies taste good 04:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Gameplay improvement

Suggestion scope
all humans except for zombies

Suggestion description
It wouldnt make sense that people can't look out of the window in A ZOMBIE GAME. It's great if people could actually look outside and see the thousands of zombies siegeing their hideout. Not only is this realistic, but it also helps the noobs in the game. People without Free Running or people in a building basically surrounded by ruined buildings/no buildings at all will benefit from this skill, especially if there are no VSB buildings around. This should even be useful for a scout with binoculars, because it scans the area surrounding the building, not somewhere far away.

Humans don't REALLY want to step outside into a crowd of zombies and get mauled by them (except for a certain group of cultists), like in a siege (to see how many zombies there are).

This is not really a skill, and all harmanz can use it (using 1 AP). They can stay by the window even after logging out, to basically check on the progress of that zombie trying to break down the barricade without stepping out to waste an AP or deciding to jump out of the window. All of the messages from inside AND outside are recieved by the player. But, all of the occurances outside have outside added to it.

This is very useful for organized groups to use in their strategies (especially guerilla tactics) It is also potentially useful for any PKer in some dark factory that noone goes into...

Also, remember the RPing aspect of it.

Keep Votes

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Three reasons. 1) Part of barricading means boarding up the windows. 2) This is already in game (sort of) via binoculars. 3) The "no x-ray vision" rule. I would have an easier time with this if it only worked at barricade levels of QSB and below. --Uncle Bill 05:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Kill/Change - yes, part of barricading means boarding up the windows but if its ruined, open, or secured then I think that you should be able to do it, but only if its open, ruined, or secured... ------------WOOT 05:53, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. No. - Just get a pair of binoculars.--Labine50 MEMS | MHG 07:10, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. SpamAnd then the zombies see an unbarricaded window, go "Yum! Stupid harmanz! and plunge their hands though the window. Remember: any gap big enough to see through is big enough to stick a hand through. 2. Dupe - I'm sure this has been suggested before, but still, no x-ray vision.--Karekmaps?! 05:51, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. Spam - It is a dupe, its just that all six dupes i found were in the old archives, and they were all spminated or duped and removed from the page, and thus invalid for dupage here. This violates the no x-ray vision part of frequently rejected. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 06:01, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
  4. Spam - X-ray vision.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 06:05, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
  5. Spam - Breaks the X-ray vision rule. Don't get me wrong, there are ways to break that rule and still have a good suggestion, but in that case there needs to be a much higher cost to "using" the xray vision, and the Xray vision itself needs to be hampered a lot.--SeventythreeTalk 10:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
