The suburb is home to Team Zombie Hardcore, the Olney Militia, the Malton branch of The Drifters, and the Blythville Gang maintains a Revive Clinic at Shallet Crescent.

North Blythville is highly regarded among Maltonians both for its rich history and tradition of being awesome. Birthplace of Team Zombie Hardcore, one of the oldest active groups in Malton, it has seen constant presence for over 10 years!. Desite this, the suburb has won the annual 'Malton in Bloom' competition for the past three years, from 2007 to 2010, and every Summer the streets are decked with colourful flowers and trimmed topiary. More recently, it was also the birthplace of The Scourge in 2016, who destroyed a quarter of the suburb within the first two weeks of their existence.
