The Great Suburb Group Massacre, 2009

Check-Mark-Reviewed.jpg Group Confirmed.
This group was confirmed active. Thank you for your reply.

This may seem like a stupid question, but it's for all groups, regardless of size. Cheers! --Janus talk 18:12, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not a fancy official representative or anything but I've been around for a year and we're still going strong! --BobBoberton 18:57, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Bob!! How did you get out of your cage?! And you're talking?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh, you are so going to be beaten for this! :-D
But yeah, we're active, thanks for asking! Prep 23:13, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, but we just wanted to know if you were active... not what activities you may or may not be pursuing. That's none of my business! --Lois talk 10MFH 20:26, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
I was just being silly, Bob doesn't have a cage. Clint, however ... O.O ~ Prep Fortress - BS 01:05, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
My "cages" are ruined buildings with 50+ AP repairs :D --Bob Boberton TF / DW 15:18, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes

No need to fret, Fortress. Although I have gone pk'er, no harm will come to fortress from me. I cannot speak for my fellow browncoaters as they seem to harbor some kind of profound hate for your members, but I know fortress is a good group and, if anything, I might even help you guys out here and there with a FAK or two. I can't do more or risk or the vengeance of my fellow members, but see you on the battelfield :). Keep doing your thing. Ioncannon11 12:59, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

You were an ambassador to one of our allies, right? Was it 82nd Airborn? Anyway, the PKer scene is an entirely different style of gameplay, have fun with it, be original in your kill speeches, and I'll keep an eye out for you on the RG! Who knows, maybe I'll even bounty you one day, if Calogero sees you in the NW. ;-) ~ Prep Fortress - BS 01:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Shore Hills

Guys, really. As much as we appreciate the help, your antics in Shore Hills are really making the natives restless. I don't know if you brought a fan club with you or what, but zed activity is WAY up and people are getting eaten because of it. Have you seen the revive queue? Can't even sleep over the border anymore...

We were fine. Really. Don't you have homes? A mall, somewhere, perhaps? Trenchcoats are on sale! --Thrownaway 02:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Shore Hills? Shore Hills? Hmmm... (checks current combat squad activities) Oh no! The Battleponies have been stationed there. *gasp* What have they done? lol. I'm sorry to hear that things have worsened in the quiet 'burb of Shore Hills but rest assured that it wasn't because of us, but despite of us. The ponies will go graze elsewhere at some point but that wont help your zombinfestation at all I'm afraid! Stay Vigilant ;) Jensonson 21:59, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually Thrownaway, if you read this, I wouldn't mind asking you some questions about what you know of goings on in the Shore Hills area. You seem to be clued up on events in that burb and I'd be keen to discuss some odd events that we've experienced if you have the time. My email is TheVigilantFortress@yahoo.co.uk, if you don't wish to chat here. Jensonson 18:06, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
For a gentleman of your regard, my door is always open. Happy to chat here. That said, at the moment, I'm playing for the other team due to the difficulty in getting revived around here. Fair warning! --Thrownaway 03:18, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
The Fortress has noted some suspicious zerg-like behaviour in Shore Hills since its arrival in early March and has drawn up reams of evidence of suspected zerging. It seems that one individual, or a small group of individuals, are controlling multiple UD zombies in the same area to achieve their own personal objective. Our results, drawn up in March, have corresponded with independent lists that were previously drawn up by two of our survivor allies, prior to our arrival.
The Fortress cannot stand cheating and we have exposed mass-zergers before in UD, resulting in Kevan taking action against a culprit on one occassion, but always we have at least spread awareness among our extensive Chain of Allies, which includes every major survivor group in Urban Dead. It is important to us that people know when and where people are cheating in Urban Dead on the odd occassion that we experience it. We feel it is important to always try to find a way to talk to the culprit, to ensure they are aware of the rules of UD and that it is nothing more than a game for people to play; that cheating is obviously wrong. (It's strange how many people don't think of multi-account zerging as cheating!)
Therefore we would be keen to know, with your knowledge of the Shore Hills area in the past six weeks, whether you and your UD character, presumably Thrownaway, has also experienced suspicious behaviour and what you might be able to tell us to assist in our investigation. In particular, suspicious events you may have experienced or a list of ID's of any zeds you may suspect as zergers.
Thanks in advance for anything you can provide us. Jensonson 20:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I haven't been doing screenshots or anything, but I think you're absolutely right in suspecting zerg activity in the Shore Hills area, on both the zombie and survivor sides. For the last couple months, ALL of the Necrotech buildings I've gone to in the area have had HUGE mobs of zombies in them (that don't seem to have any apparent group affiliation, so it seems unusual for so many zombies to be so religious about about staying in NTs all the time), and now that I've been Zed for awhile, I've seen more than one occasion where 3-4 zombies all ?rise within minutes of each other when I spend the night in an NT. On top of that, there are tons of level ones around, and the most obvious clue: I've seen a couple zombies named "ZergerXXX" (XXX=number). That's kind of hard to argue with.
On the survivor side, I've also seen a whole lot (10-20) of level one scouts/firemen with recent creation dates that all share the same "real player" name (and universally stupid character names), but primarily in Havercroft during the mall siege. Haven't been over on that side of the border in a while now, though.
As a solo player, it's been easy enough just to not overnight in those areas (unless I'm already dead). They way I see it, the best way to deal with them is the same way to deal with any other 13 y/o griefer: ignore them. They'll eventually get bored if and quit if they can't get a rise out of you. Good luck with the hunt, though. Would be interested to know if anything ever comes out of it. --Thrownaway 21:43, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey Thrownaway, since we've noticed the activity back in early March, we've been collecting profiles and evidence of their actions. There is a critical amount we need to collect, however, for us to bring the matter before the higher powers. Until that time, we could use all the help we can get in collecting profiles and actions in unison. I'll see if we can get some members to go in there and scan as many as possible. If your character is sleeping in an NT, he might end up on the same list as these cheaters, so you might want to move him out or let us know so we don't get you lumped in there with the others. (as it looks like you might have started playing about the same time as the zerg) Good luck out there! ~ Prep Fortress - BS 22:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up. I'll pop down to Brooksville for a little while and try to catch a revive. I'd offer to help, but being solo, I'd rather hang onto my AP for other things. Best of luck. And btw, my character is actually really old -- just came back to UD after a very long time and figured I'd finally start using the Wiki, which I'm new to, with my normal internet handle.  :] --Thrownaway 13:56, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for gatecrashing the conversation, but does there also appear to be a lot of poop based graffiti? RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 14:05, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
There sure is. Kevan thinks it's very charming. --Lucy Daniels 20:03, 3 April 2009 (BST)
Really? Well a lot of molebank residents didn't like it when the same guy zerged similar tags over their suburb in a day. Have a word with User:Lois Millard she should have a list of a lot of his alts.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:15, 4 April 2009 (BST)
Aye. All of my alts have seen it, throughout south and central Malton. Oswelybank and Grigg Heights (which are very close to Molebank) had some, as well as some suburbs in the far south (Buttonville was one, I think.) I've got a hunch that it was a zerg that started it, and now he's got copycats. Linkthewindow  Talk  22:30, 5 April 2009 (BST)
You guys certainly did a good job with the sentries, at least. I just swept through the area, and several NTs that had been held by zeds for over a month are now EHB and lit with no signs of the horde. Did Kevan ban them, or did they just relocate? --Thrownaway 21:45, 6 April 2009 (BST)

What is your character name Alvaromesa? Your application may have already been filed. Did you check your email? Let me know, and good luck out there! ~ Prep Fortress - BS01:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
You guys let zergers join now? --Blanemcc 02:41, 17 April 2009 (BST)
Not to my knowledge. Is he one? You have any proof? We're actually actively trying to oust zergers - see the Shore Hills thing above. --Bob Boberton TF / DW 05:20, 17 April 2009 (BST)
He zerged while working with Dawn Patrol/Anti-Zombie Squad, is on the zerge list, and I have a list of the name of some of his newer zerg alts. He has, to my knowledge, around 7 zergs. --Blanemcc 11:30, 17 April 2009 (BST)
He was on the Zerg Liste for having his characters LT Mesa and AlvaroMesa together in the same building. Both were with different groups at the time and I believe he was new to the game. Naturally, this is no excuse, but he made the effort to go Resens to get off the list, and since then I have seen no evidence of him multi-abusing. If you have any evidence suggesting recent multi-abuse, I suggest you take it to Resens. ~ Prep Fortress - BS14:22, 17 April 2009 (BST)
I emailed the list of suspected zergs to Anne Tardew. --Blanemcc 14:45, 17 April 2009 (BST)

Anti-Zombie Squad

Hi. I'm Dark Butters from the Anti-Zombie Squad. We are a pro-survivor group settled in the suburb of West Grayside. We've been looking to gain some allies with our growing numbers, so wondered if you would be interested in joining up with us. So let me or one of the leaders let us know. Either message the forum http://antizombiesquad.forumup.it/index.php?mforum=antizombiesquad or visit the wiki Anti-zombie_squad.

Thanks again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dark Butters (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Hey Dark Butters, I went and grabbed Janus Abernathy and I'm talking to her on our forum about an alliance. Thanks for getting in touch! ~ Prep Fortress - BS16:34, 9 April 2009 (BST)

Yup, the entire forum hosting site is down. I don't know where the zumie's coming from, though. I'm just getting the standard timeout error. It ought to be back up in a few hours, they're probably doing maintenance or something. --Bob Boberton TF / DW 06:37, 7 April 2009 (BST)
