- Metallica sold out ages ago, and they weren't even that good before that. If you want real thrash metal, listen to Slayer. But if you want death metal (no, I don't mean Slipknot, or Disturbed, or Avenged Sevenfold, they're all posers) listen to Death, or Morbid Angel, or the like - great stuff. But if you want technical death metal (which is the best), listen to Necrophagist, Decapitated, Atheist, Nile, Quo Vadis, Spawn of Possession...the list goes on almost indefinitely. Here are a few songs to direct you...

- Bull Shit.... The Black Album was the shit--DOWN WITH THE 'CRATS!!! | Join Nod!!! 00:50, 10 September 2009 (BST)
- Stabwound, by Necrophagist - classically influenced
- Diminished to B, by Necrophagist
- Spheres of Madness, by Decapitated
- On the Shores of Ithaka, by Quo Vadis, great philosophical lyrics
- Annihilation of the Wicked, by Nile (Egyptian themed)
- Unas Slayer of the Gods, by Nile (This is the first part)
- Ithyphallic, by Nile (probably the greatest band ever)
- User Maat Re, by Nile (look at my character's profile, it comes from the lyrics in this song)
Obviously, there is much more. But this is a bit to start you off, if you're interested.
P.S. Don't listen to nu-metal (Slipknot, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, etc.) It's just heavy pop, from a musician's standpoint. In contrast, technical death metal is so complex that much of it (especially Spawn of Possession) is more complex than classical music. Ralph Nader 02:53, 10 October 2009 (BST)

sweet a fellow Nile fan excellent band but they can be overly brutal sometimes, nu metal = ghay aids and fail--Imthatguy is on the wiki looking at ur pagez 00:15, 20 October 2009 (BST)
Wow, you like Nile too? That's a pleasant surprise...I don't know many people who like Nile. You say that they can be overly brutal, though; do you like melodic death metal, then? If so, I would recommend listening to Quo Vadis(lyrics), a technical melodic death metal band. I'm obsessed with technicality, so this is my favorite melodic death band. They're pretty incredible musically; ingenious melodies and harmonies with philosophical lyrics and a classical influence.

- Yeah, I've heard of Amon Amarth. I somewhat like them, but I like Nile's technicality much better. I'm kind of obsessed with Egyptian mythology as well, which is part of the reason I like Nile so much. Ralph Nader 21:14, 22 October 2009 (BST)

Politics
Since Poodle of doom has ceased to have a political discussion and has instead insulted me and Nader multiple times, and caused other grievances, I have come to your page for a real political discussion. You said that you liked Nader better than other candidates, but you did not express much enthusiasm. Thus I will ask: what is your political view? Ralph Nader 02:35, 10 October 2009 (BST)
- Pardon me Guy, I'm not looking to be a kill joy here on your talk page too.... but the very first comment you made on my talk page was an insult Ralph. Some of the comments you made later were degrading, prior to me allowing for the breakdown of communication. In fact, your first comment to guy on my talk page was an insult to him. And when the questions were asked of you, you became irate over them, and side steped all the issues,... and chose to never face the real issues. Please Do Not shift blame for your short comings to me. -Poodle of doom 04:16, 10 October 2009 (BST)
- Excuse me, but I thought you ended our talk? Please refrain from interfering with a real political discussion, if Imthatguy should agree to have it. Anyways, how was my first comment an insult? You just went to my talk page and immediately said that you hated Ralph Nader. I wanted to see what your views were - and I never insulted Imthatguy! And I challenge you to name one question I sidestepped.
- However, my question was for Imthatguy, not you, Poodle of doom. You have ended our discussion. And so I shall again ask Imthatguy: what is your political view? Ralph Nader 14:12, 10 October 2009 (BST)

- So I guess you're an independent...what is your political belief? Ralph Nader 21:36, 13 October 2009 (BST)
- EDIT: I just checked your user page, and I can see that you're a libertarian. I find that most intriguing...I'm not a libertarian, obviously, but I don't know much about the concept - except that I think Neal Peart is one, and your trick message leads to Rush's site. Would you care to explain some of libertarianism's ideology?
- P.S. You fooled me with your fake message, in case you're wondering.
- P.P.S. Are you a propertarian or non-propertarian, politically? Just curious. Ralph Nader 00:37, 14 October 2009 (BST)
- Libertarianism promotes social harmony through providing as much personal liberty as possible and as least government as possible (I could get into my personal beliefs on the subject of government if you wish so), i am of the propertarian variety but not of the anarcho-capitalist variety if the corporations ran amuck they would enslave us all, Mainly i would vote for Nader to bring down the two party system which has monopolized political power for far too long, But in general i respect his forward thinking while despising some of the more populist parts of his platform (as you possibly know populism and libertarianism are opposed to each other in varying degrees on most subjects--Imthatguy is on the wiki looking at ur pagez 17:52, 14 October 2009 (BST)
- Thank god I've finally found someone to have a political discussion with. Being an independent (as I'm guessing you are), you probably know how difficult it is to find someone else who dislikes the two-party system. I guess there is no getting around the fact that I'm a populist and you a libertarian - but we both hate the current system. I wonder...have you ever considered a change in the current voting system? Such as a proportional representation? I haven't found many independents, so I'm wondering what your views on that are.
- But I still have a few questions. How would the law be upheld in a libertarianism, at least from your point of view? I suppose you'd want transportation, education, and health insurance paid for...and do you believe in a strong national defense? I don't know how you'd do so with such low taxes...but then, I really don't know much about libertarianism. To be honest, I can hardly imagine a libertarian society, but I guess that's because I've grown up in a government-controlled country. Also, how would you escape a class system in which the poor are stuck in the lower class and the rich in the higher class? And whom do you vote for, in presidential elections?
- Thanks (in advance) for clarifying, and answering my questions. If I somehow offend you in any way, please tell me...I was just in a discussion on Poodle of doom's talk page, and he got very angry at me for some reason. He still is. Ralph Nader 21:50, 14 October 2009 (BST)
- The views on said subjects vary from libertarian to libertarian, but in my personal brand i do support proportional representation (but in ways your probably not thinking of), i think government should build roads but eminent domain should not be a power of the state, education should probably be privatized, with grants going to the poor, I'm 50/50 about heathcare but most libertarians prefer privatization, deregulation, and detaxation(a word of my own invention), and (some of this is libertarian rhetoric some of it my own) the two biggest problems with the gap widening between the haves and have-nots is (1)taxes, the richest 5-15% dont pay them because they use overseas tax shelters but the small business man can't and gets taxed out of his ass, (2) (personal view)the trade deficit the elite keep their factories out of the country that would employ the bottom 10% for cheaper labor elsewhere (naturally i support a tariff)--Imthatguy is on the wiki looking at ur pagez 19:39, 15 October 2009 (BST)
- So I guess that makes sense...I completely agree with you about the rich keeping factories outside of the U.S. in places like China, where there is cheap and child labor; thus, I would also support a tariff. I find your first reason, though (the one about overseas tax shelters) quite intriguing; perhaps you can explain in more detail. I do, however, agree that small business owners are being taxed too much, so I didn't agree with Obama on his 250K+ tax - many of the huge corporate executives that I despise are in that range, but I would rather that they be punished for corruption than be taxed like that, where you say that they can escape taxes.
- But then you also say that you support a proportional representation, but not of the kind I'm thinking of - what kind are you thinking of? And whom do you vote for, come presidential elections?
- P.S. Maybe we should stop indenting our posts, we're taking up a lot of space. Please say if you agree in your next post. Ralph Nader 22:15, 15 October 2009 (BST)
Sorry about taking so long to respond, Ive explained what i know about tax shelters to the fullest extent of my knowledge but [here http://money.howstuffworks.com/personal-finance/personal-income-taxes/tax-shelters.htm] is an excellent article written in pretty nontechnical terms, on the subject of taxes i differ from the libertarian supported fair tax that 'Boob' Barr and the rest of those morons at the libertarian party support (I've found that many of what i call 'true' libertarians despise that party as nothing but Republican lackeys) i prefer a single source flat tax (explanation?), with proportional representation i roughly understand the theory but i would like a little more insight into it if you would care to explain it, but my own little version of it is an electoral system that i've been brainstorming over the past few weeks (I'll tell you about it if you tell me about yours)--Imthatguy is on the wiki looking at ur pagez 18:33, 19 October 2009 (BST)
Hm...so you hate Barr? I'm not surprised; much of what he says and does is much more Republican than Libertarian. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he vote for the Patriot Act? I've always wondered why he claimed to be libertarian. By the way, I read your article on tax shelters - it was quite informative, and so I understand what you mean when you say that corporate executives have tax shelters in foreign nations. I've never heard of that happening, but based on my belief of such executives, I do not doubt that they would do so. Which is why I would support much, much more funding towards corporate crime prosecution budgets and other such measures to keep them in check. As for my "version" of a proportional representation - well, I would prefer any kind of PR over our plurality system, but my voting method of choice would probably be either choice voting or an open party list system. If you would like to know more about PR, here is an article on it. Note that their idea of choice voting is a little different from what I would do. Ralph Nader 22:11, 20 October 2009 (BST)
