Rogues Gallery Wiki Page

Thought you'd like to know

It looks like your sig might be one of the ones causing issues for A/VB (the current month's archive isn't showing up on it since it has too much inclusion data), since it's a decent amount larger than the norm. This isn't a warning to fix it or anything of the sort, merely a friendly notification, since I figured you'd want to be aware of something like this. What you do with this info is your call. My best guess is that it's the images causing the issues, since the other big culprit was DDR's sig with the arrow images in it. —Aichon— 06:44, 30 August 2010 (BST)

You can use Template:ClickInternal for the images now. Good news is that it works (thank Aichon), bad news is that it's weighty so using it several times like now will probably still be a bit much. Also you have to use it because I said so. --  RoosterDragon  07:18, 1 September 2010 (BST)

Rooster figured out the hard stuff that took trial and error. I just copy/pasted some code from somewhere else and tweaked it a bit. But yeah, the new code works in IE7, whereas the old code causes each image to get its own line in IE7, which is bad juju. And it's new! And spiffy! While I'm here

Have you seen this yet? Check the code for it. I've designed it from the ground up to be modifiable by anyone without needing any extra templates or anything (and the template that generates it all is actually remarkably light). Basically, anyone can create as many styles as they want, name them whatever they want, and then can apply them to whichever suburbs they want. They can also stylize the entire table however they want (though it has some preset defaults), and they can nest it into tables or divs however they want so that it fits on the page better. Basically, it could probably be used as a replacement for pretty much every minimap of the city that has ever existed or ever will on the wiki. If you want to keep the stuff hidden and still share it online, Google-Docs along with invitations might be a solution. Yep, text file is the way. I did the malties that way (though I kept a sandbox with no actual malties text to make sure I got the images aligned, etc). You can preview pages without ever saving or creating them, so you've no hassle looking at how it turns out. 23:28, 8 September 2010 (BST)
