Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Devonshire Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. The facility is located near the Upshall Monument, one of the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps' primary revive points. It is suggested that scientists and other NecroTech personnel stationed at the Devonshire Building restock on revive syringe supplies here.

If a survivor needs a revive, they are asked head over to the Upshall Monument revive point instead of waiting at the door of the Devonshire Building. As waiting outside a NecroTech facility might be viewed as a hostile action.

Members of project NecroWatch renovated the facility in recent months, as they installed sensor eyes for A.L.I.C.E. throughout the building and uploaded NecroNet 2.0 into the facility's system terminals.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow Directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. They have been charged with governing the The Upshall Monument (82,6) revivification zone and seeing to the restoration of life to all zombies located therein.

Orome Avenue is one of the RCDC's main revive points within the suburb. It is suggested that scientists and other NecroTech personnel use this building to restock on revive syringe supplies.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. Standard protocol dictates that all staff be equipped with a standard issue DNA Extractor to tag any zombies they come across during field research.

Barricade Policy

This building follows the barricade policy set forth in the Rhodenbank Barricading Plan. Created by the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps, the policy dictates that almost every tactical resource point in Rhodenbank should only be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded and no higher, so as to be accessible to inexperienced survivors who do not have the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade past Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege by zombies. Note that members of the RCDC have the right to lower the barricades to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Devonshire Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Current Events

November 23rd, 2015 VSB and a recently-installed generator. A dead body outside for some time already. Not many zombies in the area, it's not a good place for XP. -Mageek (I'm a noob, don't take me seriously)

July 8th, 2013 Well, another three years gone and another big raid seems to be heating up in our little suburb while I was away, with the hospitals across the way being hit this week, and a few pinatas being made to the southwest. It's been a lot quieter these days, of course, so it may just be interesting to see where this takes us. Either way it goes, it's damn good to be back. Tec7890 T RCDC NW 06:07, 8 July 2013 (BST)

July 3rd 2010 Whitlock Wizard appears to be our new Dudly. Be sure to give him a Devonshire welcome, all. Tec7890 T RCDC NW 05:11, 3 July 2010 (BST)

May 20th 2009 25.96 MHz: "... reporting from Rhodenbank, I've got about forty active ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... infrastructure looks intact too ... some survivor activity in the Devonshire ..." (2 days ago) (Yay, we're on the radio). Anyway, the ExMil is a lie, but if you're at Devonshire, you're safe. EHB atm. Tec7890 T RCDC NW 09:43, 22 May 2009 (BST)

March 10th, 2009 - We've been having some trouble lately with Generator smashing and PK'ing. Recent culprits include zomburrito and A yellow anus fruit. Caution is advised, please report any sightings of these two or other troublemakers so they can be brought to justice. --Red Hawk One 06:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

December 9th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that the Devonshire Building was Extremely Heavily barricaded and lit up.

October 13th, 2008 - Lights are on inside. Several survivors standing in the building. The Devonshire is back.

September 14th, 2008 - Building ruined, 2 zombies standing, 13 bodies on the floor --RayMcGruder 23:47, 13 September 2008 (BST)

September 4th, 2008 - VSB++... Nothing happening.

March 26th, 2008 - The building is in zombie hands. There are 25 zeds inside and only a few survivors. It looks like the survivors made a great stand, but started combat reviving career zeds who just rose up and PKed them. The barricades are completely down. I shut the doors before I left. --Chetos 12:24, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

February 11th, 2008 - The building has fallen due to the overwhelming numbers of Big Bashers. Looks like its days are numbered for the time being. 30+ zeddies inside. --Sloping Flange 18:57, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

January 8th, 2007 - Dudly is glad the devonshire building is back in shape while he tried to keep it down the resourceful occupants banded together and kept the shining beacon that is the devonshire building a light. While dudly has invested his time in other projects during the recent zombie attack feels the devonshire people should have some time to rebuild before the usual games begin again.

January 4th, 2007 - The building is under questionable status after the Militant Order of Barhah Raids in the last 3 weeks. I would be under the impression it would still be rebuilding, still In zombie hands or ransacked and vacated. My visit to the building recently showed that the building was ransacked with 8 zombies inside. (A reminder to Dudly, I will put my 6-7 clips in your skull if I have the opportunity when your 'house' is rebuilt. I have better training than last time.) --Tec7890 04:00, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

December 11th, 2007 - The building is powered and barricaded, and has been for some time now.

November 5th, 2007 - A zombie destroyed the barricade, but was killed. Even though the zombie destroyed the generator it was rapidly replaced by another one and the barricades are being rebuilt. --Doctor von Muerte 19:10, 5 November 2007 (GMT +1)

September 29th, 2007 - Devonshire is up and running, without any apparent threat, the hordes seem to have moved on. Nearby hospitals are up and running, with clear revive points at Upshall, and, to a lesser extent Orome Avenue.--Afterdeath 18:12, 29 September 2007 (BST)

September 12th, 2007 - The Devonshire Building is currently under attack by zombies belonging primarily to the "Undeadites". While the siege lasts, barricade policy will remain at EHB, with entry point at the Parks Building just 1 block south. The generator is currently out of fuel and the Upshall Monument revive point is not being serviced by this building. Any and all assistance is requested to repel the lumbering horde and return to normal operations. -- Saobh [Devonshire Knights] 00:43, 12 September 2007 (GMT)

Update: The building is once again operational and revives are once again being made availible at Upshall. -- Saobh [Devonshire Knights] 00:23, 15 September 2007 (GMT)

August 28th, 2007 - I have seen it, the hordes are coming towards us. They are attacking the Wallbutton Building and the Carlyle Building. I believe that the hordes are trying to overrun Rhodenbank. I was tagging them a few days ago, and saw several fairly large hordes moving west. It's up to you, fight, or run, I am staying, it's my job to tag zombies.- Leath

August 27th, 2007 - There is a ceasefire in effect with Dudly, so DO NOT KOS. Apart from that, there are reports that a zombie horde might be moving this way, but all is currently quiet. --Afterdeath 20:33, 27 August 2007 (BST)

July 18th, 2007 - Noted madman Dudly has once again arrived on the doorstep of the Devonshire Building. What could be in store for the resident's of this once peaceful building? All facts point towards more murders and generator destruction. On a side note Dudly discovered that his bounty is only 20 on the Rogues Gallery and feels that it should be higher.

July 7th, 2007 - Noted NecroTech scientist Caleb Usher had this to say, "I'm not sure what's going on in the Devonshire Building right now, but from what I can tell by reading the 'news' is that both Necrotechperson and Dudley really should really spare us their vague allegations and denials. That, or invest in more entertaining dialog if they truly intend to talk so much here."

July 4th, 2007 - Dudly's rain of terror continued in the Devonshire Building, with no one being able to stop him. "Sources" have given up the location of Bane Croooooooow to Dudly by spraypainting his locations at agreed areas. Unfortunatly Bane Croooooooow was not in any of those locations.

The question on on everybody's lips is who is the spy? Necrotechperson seems to be trying real hard to convince people that he isn't the spy. However sources confirm he is responsible for revive Dudly on multiple occasions. Could it be he secretly wants Dudly around so he can kill in safety? You just don't know.

Oh, and one last thing: "Boom shaka laka boom skaka laka boom. I have only just begun to get my swirl on." --Dudly

July 1st, 2007 - Though he is somewhat notorious and this news is late, Dudly has been assaulting and murdering people in the Devonshire building for a long time. He has been found several times, and threatened people on multiple occasions. He has offered to stop attacking us if we turn in and kill Bane Croooooooow, who has been last seen at the Ablett Arms. He has also been seen bargaining with Bane Croooow to say improper profanities in exchange that he leave the Devonshire Building alone. Both times, he has been rejected. It seems no one has agreed to turn Bane Crooow in. If they do agree, they're not talking, and the general public doesn't want them talking. He has been spotted twice two blocks EAST of the Devonshire building, dead. That is also most likely where unknowing new people with syringes decide it's okay to revive him. He has pretended that Necrotechperson (me) has revived him, which I have not.

April 15th, 2007 - The Devonshire Building has been continually assaulted by one tony watt and his "gang" (read: alts). These vandals continually destroy our building's portable generators, while confirmed reports show that tony and his "gang" have also attacked other nearby buildings. So far no survivor in the building has been able to catch him, but survivors in the Rhodenbank area are asked to help put a stop him.

June 10th, 2006 - The Ridleybank Resistance Front assaulted and overran the building. Survivors were forced to flee eastwards as the zombie horde continued to decimate other resource buildings in west-Rhodenbank.
