20071120 Fix Radio Tuning

Rictor Stilwell 01:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Small item Fix

Suggestion scope
Those who use radios

Suggestion description
Right now it takes two AP to tune a radio; one to bring up the text box to change the frequency, and one to finalize the change. This suggestion would get rid of the first AP, so only finalizing the change would cost an AP. After all, turning a dial on a radio is really only 1 action, and should only cost 1 AP.

  2. Keep - Agreed. Omega 01:11, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. Keep - Heck yeah! It only costs one AP to use a Mobile Phone. Radios should cost the same amount too. Waterspark2 01:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  4. Keep - Sure --BlobdudeTalk TM MC 01:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  5. Keep - Sure, unless tuning a radio is very hard.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 02:00, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  6. Keep- I'm the guy who made the GPS suggestion, so what more can I say?! --Darth LumisT! A! E! FU! 02:18, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

  9. keep Because I've never seen a hand-held radio with a lock on a latch over the tunning knob... ~A`Blue`JellyTME*V*I*L*? 05:46, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  10. Keep - leftover of fixing retuning transmitters cost --~~~~ [talk] 06:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Kill Votes

  1. Weak Kill - Sure, makes sense, but would make it easier to annoy people by constantly changing the channel. Mostly I voted kill because there is no kill votes yet ;_; +++===+++===WOOT 02:54, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
RE - So Kill votes are necessary, no matter how good a suggestion is huh? seems childish/stupid/foolish/your choice to me--Corndoghero 03:00, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Weak Kill - Makes total sense from a realism perspective. I think it may be set up the way it is on purpose, though. The radio is the only communication method that can potentially reach EVERY SINGLE PLAYER at once (if they all had radios, and they were all tuned to the same frequency). The extra 1 AP per tuning is a balance to the potentially infinite reach of the radio. --Steakfish 03:33, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. Kill - The amount of people reached by the radio justifies the amount of AP spent. --Trunksoul 03:41, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Dupe - I support the suggestion, but it is clearly a duplicate of this suggestion in Peer Reviewed. --WanYao 03:25, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
...it is also incomplete. I know it refers to HANDHELD RECEIVERS, but just to avoid all confusion (see WOOT's vote) that needs to be explicitly stated. --WanYao 03:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Dupe As WanYao. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 03:26, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
