Pking Group The End

The End has your group on their page as people they've pissed off. (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_end) We are currently dealing with them now in Mornington. They have made us, The Abandoned Warriors, Those Dudes & The Lizard Wizards their targets. Would you like to come to Mornington for a short spell and get even by running them out of town? Thanks! Here's a link to our page so you know we are legit...(http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_Abandoned_Warriors) Pandoras emptiness 13:42, 17 July 2007 (BST)

Public notices

Members of Molebank Citizen Volunteers with free running operating within the NE, SE and NW quadrants are requested to report to the East Becktown/ Lukinswood suburb interface to provide whatever assistance they can. --Celt 03:39, 15 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Thanks for the support. This information was relayed on the PLEB member's board. 14:38, 1 Jan 2006 (GMT)

FYI - The Percival Building (25,35) has been breached, 2 zeds inside. Antichris 16:40, 25 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Anyone can edit our pages, we don't mind, especially if it is a pressing matter such as a break-in. 14:38, 1 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Gilant has written up a new utility to request revives that I wanted to make you folks aware of. Please spread the word where you can, we'd like to see wide-spread usage of this utility by all survivors in Malton to either request or dispense revives to people that we know who want them. --Torvus 00:32, 15 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Information about our pages

The New Improved Hybrid Zombie Map

Area covered: Entirety of East Becktown plus one additional square in each direction.

Purpose: To display the number of zombies in any given square:

  • with up-to-date reports on individual squares, with timestamps.
  • by a daily update, at the time shown above the map, for all squares.

We feel that by combining individual reports with a daily intensive scan, we can provide a map with the benefits of both methods, and which allows errors made in the daily update to be corrected by individual scouts, and malicious scout reports to be noted by PLEB staff.

Anyone is permitted to edit this map with constructive and honest data, or improvements (don't worry about making radical changes - we welcome your efforts). The non-Eastbecktown squares are faded to sixty percent of the colour of a normal square, and are seperated from Eastbecktown by a narrow empty column (which is not visible if the map is crushed into a minimised window).

We perform an update once a day, real life permitting (and it usually does). This means that we wipe all the timestamps for individual scout reports, and perform a rapid scout run of the suburb - noting all standing zombies within a couple of minutes, and then updating every square of the map.

Barricading

The picture in the barricade section of a map showing target barricade levels will soon be out-of-date, due to a proposal to make a few minor changes to the position of entryway points, so that the citizens of Malton can access a better spread of safehouses. --Timothy Askins 02:23, 24 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Feedback on our wiki pages

Pleb merge?

Just wondering if you guys would mind merging Pleb (definition) into your main article so we can delete it. Awaiting reply. --RCG Tiburon W! 18:33, 8 May 2006 (BST)

Confirmation of barricading policy

Can you confirm that your barricading policy is still VS for key buildings (i.e. police stations, hospitals, etc) as per your front page? Have just been caught stuck outside in West Becktown, where St Lazar's Hospital, Whippey Pl Fire Station and Curle St PD are all barricaded beyond VS. Result: an unhappy corpse. Thanks guys --EvilBert 19:44, 26 February 2006 (GMT)

Zombie Map is looking more confusing

Zombie map is getting a little complicated to navigate, for a semi-proficient user. If your goal is to discourage individuals from assisting (which I highly doubt) then you can pin the iron Cross on youself. You need to make it more easily accessible. Constructive criticism - since you are the leaders in survivour resistance! --Celt 19:51, 23 Nov 2005 (GMT)

By hard-to-navigate, do you mean that the numbers are getting lost amidst the extra building and date information, or that the numbers are hard to make out against the building colours, thus making an at-a-glance assessment difficult, or are you referring to the template page containing the map variables which, due to the addition of timestamps, looks a bit less simplistic than it used to. It's nice to have some feedback other than "uhh... looks good." :D --Timothy Askins 02:05, 24 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Current Events?

I don't want to start mucking around with your fine wiki page, although I think you could do with a "current events" section near the start, as things are a little confusing at the moment. You should also record for colour, as much as posterity, that the RRF has recently cited: "We are to Liberate the citizens of East Becktown from the tyranny of The People's Liberation of East Becktown (PLEB). To do this, we smash all the PDs, followed by Hospitals and NT buildings." Nervie 22:23, 7 Nov 2005 (GMT)

It looks like a lot of the current events are on the Operation Tumbleweed page, but I agree, it would be best to list them on the front page. The call that's been going around lately is: "WARNING - The RRF horde has just announced that it's attacking EB as of now, in addition to the CotR. We suspect a small group of RER are breaking open buildings in the NW quad, too. Spread the word; check our wiki page for more information. PLEB out."

We plan to add a clear history/current events section to the PLEB pages as part of the restructuring effort to make our pages less unwieldy. 02:05, 24 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Listing zombie sightings in order

When listing zombie sightings, I personally recommend ordering them by time (newest first), then by number of zombies (highest first), then in alphabetical order. I've just realized that it's probably not such a good idea to list zombie sightings in the order of your path through the suburb (because you might get tracked). -- Noclip 09:07, 10 Nov 2005 (GMT)

I agree. I used to list them by time and then alphabetically, but I've switched to your system of time and then zombie numbers. I've also taken to deleting reports that are a week or more old, as these can't be too relevant, and the page was getting pretty full. -- Raymond Knowby 19:00, 19 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Sterling stuff; I'll add your recommendations to the main page. 02:05, 24 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Requests

If you post a request below, please consider also letting us know by sending an email to the address on the main page, or leaving a note in the User Talk of any PLEB member, so that we can respond more quickly. Your requests will be posted on the PLEB message board, for all members to debate. Your request will be moved to "under consideration" section once it has been read, and posted.

New requests

Any group, or individual, may post requests here.

  • Karloth Vois, leader of The Surrealists here- thought you might be interested in Fine Art of Malton in East Becktown, especially as you´ve already created a page for one of your museums.

Thanks, Karloth vois 01:42, 21 July 2006 (BST)

  • Please update the barricade map; last revision was in November, and some of us are getting zombified :( --Drummer boy 03:00, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)
  • About three days ago, I emailed the provided address about joining. I'm simply wondering if my request to join was recieved or if it simply takes a few days for reading/processing. If the latter, estimated response time might be added to the section about joining. --Tael Silverwind 02:40, 6 Mar 2006 (GMT)
  • Justice Inc have set up in West Becktown, mainly just holding whatever key blocks we can and getting some organisation in-game and out. We have updated the West Becktown page, including a barricade plan. We wanna make ourselves aware to you at PLEB, and wish to work together for the benfit of Becktown as a whole. We JI boys grew up here, and stomping zed bootie is our main game for fame! Rip purr 13:16, 19 March 2006 (GMT)

Requests being debated

From the MFD (Affiliation/Coordinated Efforts)

Seeing as you lot have started working on West Becktown, and Molebank is relatively well organized already, the MFD has started working on getting Lukinswood organized. If anyone is bored we have plenty of small zombie mobs there we could use a hand with! ;) In particular though we have a lot of infected, inexperienced survivors here, particularly near the Molebank border and NW quad. Anyone willing to do a first aid run through would be greatly appriciated.

Also MFD command is interested in officially affiliating with the PLEB. We've come a long way since my lone Firefighter came poking around East Becktown, and are growing daily now. Contact me if interested.

BTW, is the PLEB planning on renaming itself the PLB (or PLGB?) and setting this page as a redirect? Thanks for all the great work you folk have done! --Gilant 15:43, 7 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Due to the rapid growth of the group, it is only natural for us to expand and encompass the whole of the Greater Becktown. We chose to do so back when the Church of the Resurrection announced they would go around EB, rather than through the middle, by running down the border of East and West Becktown. West Becktown is a much quieter suburb than East Becktown, and we feel confident that we can provide worthwhile assistance to the residents there.
We have discussed changing the name of the group, however, as it is now so well known, we currrently feel that we would lose more than we would gain by way of a change, even though PLEB and PLGB are visually similar. Still, PLEB's policies are decided by it's members, so it is hard to predict what the group will do in the future.

Alliance with the Liberation of Crossman Department

Message from Liberation of Crossman Department(LCD).We would like to establish good relationship,a relationship of mutual respect and to offer mutual help and cooperation against the zombie threats. We are currently moving our operations in Darvall Heights to finally retake Crossman Dept. from the zombies. I sincerely hope that we could work an alliance between the two groups.Awaiting answer.

LCD Leader Cortonna.

I have just posted this on the PLEB message board for a second time, as it appeared to get lost in a larger post the first time around. Hopefully, we will have some feedback for you soon. 14:00, 1 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Requests that have been dealt with

Maps for other suburbs

Hello, I am working on making a zombie movement reporting system in Dulston similar to yours, I am having some trouble making it to function. I am the founding member of the D.D.D.S. and I note that both our organizations seem to be based on the foundation that good strategy and cooperation are the keys to survival and success. Perhaps you could help us with creating a zombie tracking system like yours, thank you for your time. --Matthew-Stewart 21:23, 18 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Update - I've looked at map link, and it's a good start. I'm busy for a few days, but I should be able to do something for you next week. 14:47, 26 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Caiger Mall

Just wanted to thank you guys for your assistance, our group is run much like yours. no real leader just a bunch of survivors all chipping in. If you guys ever need a revive near Caiger Mall. St. Isadores is the spot. --Flaunted 19:47, 28 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Cheers :D I posted this message on the PLEB message board, so all the members who took part will see it.

Player Killer

The survivor Dartus attacked me in the Carritt Grove Railway Station, which has had it's barricades completely removed since I was logged in earlier this morning. Dartus is a level 1 fireman, and I can only assume that it was him that removed the barricades. I would have listed him in the known enemies, but I am not a PLEB member (although I'd like to join when I get to level 5). I also don't have the barricade skill, so the Carritt Grove Railway Station needs to be re-barricaded. Thanks. -- Tornprog

Thanks for the information. When you reach level 5, send the URL for your character to the address on the main PLEB page, and someone will get in touch you. 01:31, 24 Nov 2005 (GMT)

Thought you guys would be interested in this

It is really, really hard to make any Suggestions these days which might even be perceived to be anti-PK. So this one is likely to fail, like several other of my "PK counter" ideas. But darnit, this is a good one. Have a look and see if you think it warrants your Keep votes. --John Ember 23:05, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Request for Updated Information

This group is listed as active in West Becktown Please advise that this is still the case by replying to this message on my talk page. Thank you. Conndrakamod TCFT 02:02, 4 August 2006 (BST)

Old East Becktown Info

Hi there, I'm busy trying to make all the suburb pages conform to one sort of layout and there was alot of info relating to your group that I couldn't find a space for on the page, I have posted it here. Hope you don't mind. Pillsy FT 14:22, 9 October 2006 (BST)

Dinmead Lane

Long time no message! ;) Alex has retired as head of the DEM and returned to the area of his first command post, East Becktown. I was doing some scouting this morning and passed by Dinmead Lane to check for revive requests, and discovered that it is not listed as an RP in our map, which means it is not listed on the List of Revivification Points page. Before re-listing it, I wanted to make a proposal that the East Becktown RP be relocated from Dinmead Lane to Spirod Row, which is located an equal distance from two different NT buildings. This location is more central in E. B., and by placing it in closer proximity to two NT it eases support of the NT should one building fall, and opens up the possibility of having one of the NTs designated EHB (both are currently designated VSB+2), providing a safer location for more experienced survivors to maintain a generator. I've noticed some MFU tags for the RP as well, so will drop them a line too. The only downside to this move that I see is the simple fact that Dinmead has been an RP since before I first was assigned here, so it may take a while for some people to notice. Whichever location is settled on, I'd like to get it listed ASAP. Thanks! --Gilant talk-DEM 19:22, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

The Great Suburb Group Massacre

Stop hand.png Group Active? Request.
In order to maintain the wiki as an up to date source of information groups are occasionally removed from the Suburb pages when they are no longer active. Is this group still active? If so simply confirm here by writing something below. If not it will be removed from suburb pages in 14 days.

Currently the suburb in question is West Becktown but one response to this query will be all that is needed to protect your group link on all suburb pages. I know this is a random request but its for all groups regardless of size. Thank you. --Adavastor 16:47, 31 July 2008 (BST)

Stop hand.png Group Inactive?
No reply has been recieved as to whether this group is still active. The 14 days have passed and as such the groups link has been removed from suburb listings. If the group is again active please feel free to revert these changes

Hi

ORPHAN.jpg Orphaned Page
The following page(s) were orphaned, meaning they weren't linked from any other page on UDWiki. For house-keeping's sake, we are adding the link onto the relevant talk page. If you don't want the pages anymore just post them on the Deletions Page. You aren't required to do anything, but we'd appreciate if it you kept the link on any one of your pages.

Please note that the link provided below will not remove the page from Orphaned Pages, so you'll still need to manually make a link for us. Thank you.
