New Arkham is a suburb of Malton, located at the south-western corner of the city.

Although the large number of Necrotech buildings make New Arkham useful for scientists, the absence of police departments makes the area unattractive for survivors specializing in firearms skills. Because New Arkham is a long distance away from the mall, survivors here are at a significant resource disadvantage - survivors sometimes move out after acquiring Bargain Hunting. Even before the outbreak it was considered boring. Most people had simple office jobs. After children grew up, they usually left to find some place less dull. The only thing that New Arkham was ever famous for was that it was the youngest suburb in Malton, it was 37 years old at the time of the outbreak and is now preparing for 40th birthday celebrations.

No signs of life anywhere. Every building ruined. No noticeable survivor activity. Lots of feral zombies. Graffiti about "Zambah Hazlan" (Zombie Homeland?) on many buildings. Upgrading danger level to ghost town. -- WhatZombies

August 3rd

The last remaining barricaded buildings in New Arkham fell yesterday. Zombie numbers somewhat increasing, but the suburb was mostly a victim of few survivors to start with. Upgrading to very dangerous.--Foster 21:36, 2 August 2008 (BST)

After recent requests solicited no response, the following group links have been removed from the suburb.

If any of these groups are still active, please add them again. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:05, 30 July 2008 (BST)

The Necronauts are most certainly active, I know them. They are just wiki phobic. --WanYao

July 20th

There at least 60 standing zombies in New Arkham, and with the exception of the east side, the 'burb is in ruins. The zombies are scattered, however, and its status probably has more to do with a perennial lack of significant survivor numbers, rather than with a major, coordinated zombie presence. --WanYao 21:54, 20 July 2008 (BST)

The Necronauts, although a relatively small group, have a long history of pro-survivor activity in New Arkham. The Legion of the Octopope operate in northeastern New Arkham but have been known to range further afield in pursuit of their oh-so-mysterious and unknowable goals.
