#its a good idea, but as it is now its not right. A player shouldnt be able to count players in nearby blocks, but he should be able to know the exact number of players standing in the same block he is. And by 'player', i mean both survivor and zombie players. --[[User:Hagnat|People's Commissar Hagnat]] [[User_talk:Hagnat|[talk]]] [[wcdz|[wcdz]]] 00:40, 13 June 2009 (BST) | #its a good idea, but as it is now its not right. #'''Kill''' - In a city where people sleep for more than 23 hours a day it's not unplausible to be able to count numbers in groups. Make it like Hagnat said and I'll vote keep. [[User:Legion8|Legion8]] 11:34, 15 June 2009 (BST) | |||

Suggestion type
Zombie Appearence Change
Suggestion scope
Groups of zombies (25+), and everyone seeing these groups.
Suggestion description
If there are 25-49 zombies standing in one single block, they should not be listed as "25-49 zombies". Instead, they should be listed as "a mob of zombies".
If there are 50-99 zombies standing in one single block, they should not be listed as "50-99 zombies". Instead, they should be listed as "a horde of zombies".
If there are 100 or more zombies standing in one single block, they should not be listed as "100+ zombies". Instead, they should be listed as "a swarm of zombies".
In a Roleplaying perspective, you wouldn't be able to count all 25 or more zombies surrounding you.

Keep Votes
- Author Keep - If you want a wiki-cookie, please tell me in your justification or on my talk page. Wiki-cookies are only shared to people who have voted Keep on any of my suggestions. --Rolfero 19:00, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep - A great change! It's logical, flavorful, balanced, and there is precedent with zombie anonymity. --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 19:34, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep - Makes sense. Adds uncertainty. No more Survivors with a super zombie counting calculator in their heads. :)--Zombie Lord 20:53, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Re: - If this get's implemented I am so going to suggest a new survivor skill: SUPER Zombie Counting Calculator (In Your Head). Just kidding, hihi. --Rolfero 21:01, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep - I do like my flavor and it makes perfect sense.--SirArgo Talk 21:02, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep - It seems a good idea, the only problem i see is: What do the zombies see it as a mob or the real number? --TCAPD(╯°□°)╯ ┻━┻ 21:35, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep Given how much input I had on this it would be strange if I voted against. Also I think its more badass to have a description label the zombies as a horde... it sounds more menacing than "62 zombies". Oh and I also want a cookie! --Honestmistake 23:08, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep because of roleplaying perspective. You would not be able to count all the zombies. --Bjorn 03:38, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep - Because it's retarded to think you'd count 100+ zombies. Also, horde should be the most. Swam < Mob < Horde. In that order. --Sonny Corleone DORIS I jizzed in my pants pr0n 07:15, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Keep1, 2, 3, Dammit one just moved. 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 Dammit another one turned up. 1-2-3-4-5-6, 2 more stood up. 1,2,3 A zombie just killed another zombie. 1,2,3,4,5, Ow, they're biting me, 1,2,3,4 argh, argh, argh, 1,2. Arrrrrrgh. (Silence) --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:38, 12 June 2009 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - I just don't feel this is a necessary change. Also, don't forget you get an author vote! --Bob Boberton TF / DW 18:11, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill - I can't believe I'm doing this.. but.. I'm gonna quote DCC for my justification: "You can't target specific zombies so who cares how many there are? Besides, when you do encounter 100+ zombies it's pretty fucking cool to see that there are a 100+ zombies there. Giving the exact number makes the zombies feel more badass when they win and the survivors actually afraid when they are very outnumbered. You know, like in a zombie apocalypse game..." Now, from the pro-survivor side, where are the people screaming how zombies can see and count and target every survivor they inside, so how can we let them have MOAR ANONYMITY, teh horrorishness??! Come out of the woodwork, damn you, where is my sea of trenchcoats??? --WanYao 21:47, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill - You mean it isn't awesome to see 152 zombies standing in one place? If 252 zeds were standing in one block in one suburb, and 789 zeds were in one block in another, we would not immediately know which suburb to reinforce. I like the numbers just the way they are. If this was implemented, zombie hordes would effectively become blobs. You wouldn't be able to tell where one zed ended and another began. --Bwii 22:08, 10 June 2009 (BST)
- Bwii has a point. I like the idea of non-number descriptives, so what about adding the option to change it from numbers ot descriptors? A switch.--Pesatyel 04:12, 11 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill - I'm also with the above nay-sayers. As much as I like the flavor, all it really does is suck away the oomph of really large zombie mobs and make it more difficult for survivors in heavily contested areas. --Maverick Talk - OBR 404 06:53, 11 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill - "In a roleplaying perspective"... Here's a roleplaying perspective. Zombie Hunters who spend every day of their lives in a zombie apocalypse should have the ability to count a swarm of zombies, rounding off to the nearest 10 at leased. I know I can do it IRL. I do like how this buffs zombies a little because of the ambiguity of exactly how strong a horde could be, but that doesn't outweigh the unnecessary logic/realism of this suggestion. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 10:40, 11 June 2009 (BST)
- Quick DDR, how many words are there in the "kill" section of this page, roughly? You spend every day of your life editing a zombie apocalypse wiki and you have IRL estimating skills. No fair counting... --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 18:31, 11 June 2009 (BST)Non-author, format breaking RE struck. Remember, #: for comments, not just : --Mr. Angel, Help needed? 18:42, 11 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill I like the idea of being able to visualise how many zeds there are but then I do agree with the above ambiguity quote. Is there a need for a change? Well I dont feel its a pressing need.--C Whitty 11:22, 11 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill As per DCC Sanpedro 04:21, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- I will not be bribed. Besides, your cookies are infinitely inferior to our blissful biscuits, let alone my superb scones. His Imperial & Royal Highness, the Archduke d’Œuvre 04:43, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Kill - I don't like blobs. Do you? (Also, as above.) --Private Mark 06:12, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Incredibly Strong Kill - So, Zombies get to see survivors, their numbers, their starting class, and their profiles from the off, and can buy skills to see their health, and if their infected. However, Survivors don't get to see zombie profiles, unless they use a skill which doesn't always work, and also can't see zombies' health until they start attacking. You want to make it so that survivors don't know how many zombies there are in a horde? Well, then you're being stupid.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:15, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Also, while I'm at it, it already lists the horde density in the game. E.g. There is a mob of 25 zombies here, is something which it already says.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:17, 12 June 2009 (BST)
