Offering
As a new member group, The Survivor's Republic would like to offer up St. Mark's Cathedral as a sort of meeting place and safe haven for SWA members. During the Repopulation of New Arkham, we 'bought' the cathedral through building trades and thought it would be a good symbol of the SWA's unity. It's currently safe, and has a security detail and healing groups working there.--Sean Connolly 10:46, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Quick question
How'd you make that SWA missions badge? I'd like to make something similair, but wiki doesn't seem to work much like HTML.Sean Connolly, Leader of The Survivor's Republic
- The easiest way to recreate something you see on the wiki is to copy the code and reverse engineer it. The missions badge is actually a template called "Template:SWA Small. You can click on that link there and view the source. Copy it, paste it in a new page, and then change the variables to make it more like the template you want it to be. You can experiment with those changes in the Sandbox. Try changing the image Image:SWAVet.JPG to your image. Also, try altering the colors (wherever you see
background:
orcolor:
in the code, substitute your own color after the :). There is a list of wiki colors here.- Yeah, I tried that and the HTML coding i used didn't work on the wiki. Is there a guide to making templates?--Sean Connolly 21:40, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, i don't think there is, aside from this, but perhaps that's something I could put together in the next few days. In the meantime, have a look at these templates in my sandbox. It's the same template 5 different times, with just the coloring changed. That might give you a better idea of how the coloring works, maybe. Also, if you can direct me to a link of the template you are trying out, I can have a look at it and possibly tell you what part isn't working. =) --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 01:03, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

- Basically just mess around with it in the sandbox and you'll see what altering parts of the code do to the template. And when you're ready make your own template page titled "Survivor's Republic Badge" or whatever you want to call it, and then you can slap it up on the wiki by using
{{Survivor's Republic Badge}}
. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask for help!--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 15:35, 6 December 2009 (UTC)- THANK YEEEWWW! I got it working on Template:Survivor's Republic Badge. You are promoted to SWA Liaison! Well, if you wanna be.--Sean Connolly 02:14, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Possible Alliance
Sorry I'm putting this here, the stupid forums weren't working. I am Sean Connolly, Leader of The Survivor's Republic. We are a relatively new group with some idealists, admittedly, but in our month of existence we have gotten 48 official members, over 100 citizens, and quite a few alliances. We wound up in the southwestern area of Malton, stuck helping clea the area up after Feral Undead had run through and trashed the place, and made it our home. I understand that you are located in a similair area, and that we share some allies. I would like to formally propose an alliance, or at least some positive political work between our two groups.--Sean Connolly 10:48, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- And I would like to formally accept your proposal for an alliance. We're always happy to collaborate with other survivor groups and I hope we can team up for some shenanigans in the South West. Just to be upfront, the SWA is currently in a bit of an "idle" phase. There is still some activity on the forums and the individual groups that make up the SWA are active, but we haven't put together any big group efforts lately. Nature of the beast, I recon.
- Still you're more than welcome to stop by the forums again and I can make sure you get registered there. Either way, I'll be adding you to our allies section, here, and you're welcome to change the wording on your group description. See ya around!--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 12:35, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Wiki Improvements
I've been messing around with the wiki tools lately and I decided to work on a new template for the SWA. It would be a way for a user or a group to show off their involvement in joint operations that the SWA undertakes. I can still change the colors around and stuff but I thought I'd drop it here and you guys can check it out.

Also it might be time to spruce up the SWA wiki a bit. I'll put together a mock-up sometime soon.

Expanding to encompass the entire SW area (or at least just a bit more of it)?
Have you considered it? Does it seem like too much to be responsible for, or are you just lacking in participants for that many suburbs? I (and, effectively, CrimethInc.) have set up in Wykewood, which is apparently outside your area of operations, but I'd be willing to help (despite your apparent membership of police and rent-a-cops, yeesh) if Wykewood isn't too far north for ya. --aClashInRedSnow|talk 07:26, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- We sometimes hang around there, but we're more often located in the 4 places listed in the article. The SWA has been a bit quiet recently, but if any of us see you we'll certainly help out. Also, I like your userpage. :) -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 12:52, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Howdy! I've been maintaining a "community page" for a region at the meeting of the Ruddlebank, Lockettside, Old Arkham, and Spicer Hills suburbs called the Four Corners. I'm trying to help out lowbies by de-emphasizing the "suburb-centric" thinking that a lot of the wiki promotes. If I can be of greater help to the Alliance, please let me know. Thanks! ~ extropymine Talk | NW | 4Corners 02:55, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks extropymine, we are trying to build alliances and strengthen our ties to the area. I think it would be great if the SWA could have some contact with the Four Corners. Would you be interested in joining our forums and is there a forum that some of our members could check out?
--Giles Sednik CAPDSWA 15:07, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- We're not a formal organization, so we don't have forums-- just the wiki page and occasional posts on Brainstock. I'd be happy to join your forums to keep in better contact. ~ extropymine Talk | NW | 4Corners 15:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Corporate Aid
Dear South West Alliance, Being that we are sharing some of the same suburbs I can't see why we shouldn't be rushing to work together! I would like to offer Umbrella Corporation's Aid in keeping these suburbs safe. We have a program called the UCC and believe it could benefit the local populous when backed by your popular groups. We're setting to remove the recent zed horde moving slightly to the North and think that if we work together this can be achieved quite quickly. We have an excellent liaison service, so as soon as I hear back from yourself or one of these other fine groups I can dispatch my liaisons immediately to bring our groups closer together.
Thank you, --President Jackson 15:36, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Aid Accepted
Thank you so much for extending an offer of friendship. I've left a comment on your talk page previously, representing myself on behalf of CAPD, however the umbrella corporation is known to the SWA as well and we've had recent conversations about the benefits of teaming up with your group. We would love to work together so lets do it! I think a good place to start would be on our respective forums
You are welcome to join our SWA forums with allied status, and I'd be happy to join yours as well. Please direct us to the appropriate area and we'll start plotting and scheming together. See you around!
--Giles Sednik CAPDSWA 20:44, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent my dear sir! I have already informed our top Liaison to get right on it! Unfortunately timing has two of our other liaisons on leave but we will send representatives so that we may speed the process to a firm alliance. We have plans for a large operation and the cooperation of our groups is needed if we are to quickly take action in these matters! Again, most appreciative to your response, we hope to hear from the others soon!--President Jackson 17:57, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
