Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Inman Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Pescodside. Though a faceless corporate structure to the uninitiated, this facility was once a hub of activity for NecroTech within Pescodside. Originally staff working here were assigned the task of cataloging the vast quantity of re-sequenced DNA samples supplied from research projects at the Clewett Building. As such, the building ranked the lowest among NecroTech interests within Pescodside. During the initial outbreak security staff arrived several days later to find the building overrun with its labs damaged by looting and rampaging zombies. Since that day the Inman Building has never fully recovered or regained its status as a true NecroTech facility.

To date NecroTech staff in Pescodside will often only work limited shifts at the Inman Building after drawing the proverbial "short straw" during duty assignment. Most scientists prefer to work from either the Clewett or Waish Buildings. NecroTech staff who are stationed here often work in tangent with either of the aforementioned facilities although in a limited capacity.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has never been to the Inman Building. A source was quoted as saying that he once heard Caleb mention "Inman" while drinking coffee in the Clewett Building's cafeteria, but the source later admitted he might have misheard him. What this has to do with anything is anyone's guess.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow Directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. They have been charged with governing the Mermagen Street (94,14) revivification zone and seeing to the restoration of life to all zombies located therein.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. Standard protocol dictates that all staff be equipped with a standard issue DNA Extractor to tag any zombies they come across during field research.

Affiliates

To date research staff at the Inman Building are working hand-in-hand with survivors located in nearby buildings, namely:

  1. Featherstone Library [94,16]
  2. Millerd Walk Fire Station [95,14]
  3. St. Bartholomew's Hospital [98,14]

The survivor organization, Friends of the Featherstone Library, continues to share a mutually beneficial relationship with the NecroTech interests at the Inman Building. For this NecroTech extends a warm corporate welcome to those willing to assist in controlling and containing the ever-present zombie threat. After all, science may not kill zombies, but guns thankfully do.

It should also be noted that, due to rotating shifts, NecroTech staff commonly move from the Inman Building to either the Waish Building (93,11) and the Clewett Building (91,14).

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Pescodside Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups and the Dulston Alliance, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the Dulston Alliance or a vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Inman Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

July 27th, 2008 - Disaster strikes! In a stunning series of attacks, 4-8 zeds managed to break inside and overwhelm the building's staunch defenders. While there are several nearby survivors who are attempting to reclaim the building from the undead, it would appear their numbers are too small to succeed. Only time will tell if local survivors can recapture the facility.

July 15th, 2008 - Due to the heroic efforts of the PDA and Dulston Alliance the Inman Building was recently recaptured from the loathsome zombie hordes plaguing the region. Many see this as yet another victory for humanity!

June 26th, 2008 - There are 6-8 zombies inside and the building itself is ruined. --Dr Cory Bjornson 05:18, 26 June 2008 (BST)

June 4th, 2008 - The siege of the Inman Building continues as zombie numbers grew to 30+ zeds reported outside. Now under constant threat the building's barricades fluctuate constantly. While there are still many survivors isnide the latest zombie break-in led to the destruction of the generator. Powerless, the inhabitants of the building are finding it harder to locate syringes.

June 2nd, 2008 - EHB, powered, and populated, but with 24+ zeds outside. ---Officer Dick Trickle 21:18, 2 June 2008 (BST)

March 5th, 2008 - The building is powered and barricaded. A NecroNet scan has detected 21 zombies in the surrounding area. --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 15:00, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

February 7th, 2008 - The Second Big Bash has been hitting Pescodside for the past few days and it should come as no shock that they are now attempting to overrun the Inman Building. A recent NecroNet scan revealed that there were 244 zombies within scanning range. Wow. That's a lot of zombies. --Mobius187 23:22, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

July 27th, 2007 - A group of 32 zombies broke down the barricades. The doors were closed and the building lightly re-barricaded, but 9 zombies still remain inside at this time with a number of survivors who are asleep. Help has been requested. A few survivors managed to escape east to Club Hardyman, but are infected and need to be healed.

June 22nd, 2007 - There were 27 zombies on the NecroNet scan, with a majority to the east of the Inman Building. While fewer zombies than what has been recorded recently in east-Dulston, this is still a significant number.

June 1st, 2007 - Zeds continue their strange northward migration, opting to travel in slightly larger groups this week. Still, no break-ins have been reported in the eastern end of Pescodside and, other than the occasional flare lighting up the night sky, a hush has fallen over the suburb. Perhaps the lull before the storm?

May 22nd, 2007 - A NecroNet scan issued by zombiologist researcher Ottari shows that west Pescodside is surprising empty of zombie activity while the east side of the suburb is dotted with several small pockets of "single" zombie activity. Very odd.

May 11th, 2007 - Unlike west-Pescodside, which had very little zombie activity 10 zombies were recorded within scanning range of the NT building today. The greatest concentration being in the southeast where 4 zombies were detected at Caple Library. At this time it is unknown as to the library's status.

April 3rd, 2007 - Things have simmered down a bit in Pescodside. Zombie numbers have been steadily decreasing with most buildings being barricaded. The Inman Building has remained powered and revives are handled promptly. Murders have somewhat declined, though it still provides trouble throughout the suburb despite the best efforts of the Dulston Alliance to curtail it.

March 16th, 2007 - NecroNet researcher and Clewett's leading Zombiologist, Ottari, reported the following from the relative safety of the Clewett Building, "Today's NecroNet report reveals the presence of a meager 25 zombies in the 9x9 area around the Clewett Building. The series of skirmishes outside Featherstone Library seems to have resulted in a survivor victory. Though there are 12 zombies outside the Inman Building, I can personally attest to the strength of its barricades. Still, the building is without power and thus of little use for NecroNet reconnaissance at this time. Once more, I would speculate that some zombies have wandered out of the Clewett Building's NecroNet range, and may be present in eastern Pescodside. If power were restored to the Inman Building, this researcher might very well consider issuing two daily NecroNet reports for the suburb."

March 15th, 2007 - A recent NecroNet scan from the Clewett Building detected 37 zombies, with unfortunately most of them amassed outside the Inman Building and the Featherstone Library.

March 14th, 2007 - In an apparent turn of events, a recent NecroNet report issued by the Clewett Building indicated an upsurge in zombie activity which raised the number of scanned zombies to 50. This fact was well noticed by staff here as 17 of these zombies are sieging the Inman Building. Survivors are reminded to maintain the barricades and not sleep inside the building should it become breached overnight.

March 12th, 2007 - After a recent break-in, survivors have cleared out the zombie menacing the building and restored its barricades. Unfortunately the building's portable generator was destroyed during the battle and has yet to be replaced. Staff are asked to help assist with the rebuilding effort as restoration of power will ensure that NecroNet can be used to help track tagged zombies in the area.

February 23rd, 2007 - The survivor group known as Dante's Guard, which has recently reappeared in suburb, has moved into the Inman Building as part of the operations to reclaim their standing in Pescodside. Rumor has it they also have members stationed at St. Matthias's Church.

May 12th, 2006 - Zombie hordes have continued assaulting the barricades of the Inman Building and occasionally managed to break in, but many of the zombies that were attacking the building have recently moved on to other targets. Survivors who get bitten once too often and end up among the recently deceased will usually find relatively prompt revivification services at nearby Mermagen Street.

The Inman Nerf Team and other employees thank the Friends of the Featherstone Library and other parties in helping with the continuing defense of this fine working place.

May 2nd, 2006 - The Inman Building is under light yet persistant attack from a lone zombie. Although it seems the threat is dispersing, there have been sightings of at least 5 zombies within dangerous proximity. At the time of update the building was at Loosly barricaded and a solitary zombie was standing outside the building.

April 25th, 2006 - The Inman Building is under heavy attack from zombies suspected to belong to the Dead Animals and Reavers. Not expecting to hold out for long. Revivification services may suffer a blackout for some time.

February 23rd, 2006 - BREAKING NEWS BULLETIN... reports have come in from the Clewett Building that a lone zombie managed to breach their defenses and has proceeded to attack several of the staff and survivors inside. Moments after issuing an alert the matter was resolved, with the offending zombie terminated and its corpse disposed outside. Barricades were last reported at Very Strongly, but will likely be raised higher to dissuade the recently deceased zombie from returning.

February 11th, 2006 - NecroTech staff at the Waish Building have issued a termination warrant for AxeAxeAxe for the willful destruction of NecroTech property (a portable generator located in the lobby). Our staff were appalled to learn that members of the anarchistic Degenerates group had found their way into Pescodside and while most Degenerates continue to be minor annoyances, staff should consider Axeaxeaxe to be armed and dangerous as detailed in reports issued from the Giddings Mall Defence Policy and Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps. Staff are asked that, should they spot AxeAxeAxe within the premises, they should inform security personnel stationed at Lentell Walk PD, who in turn will send someone to remove AxeAxeAxe from the building... by force. Only by executing social deviants can we hope to build a better Malton.

NecroTech: Building a better tomorrow, today.

February 2nd, 2006 - As of today normal operations have been restored to the Clewett Building. NecroTech staffing routines have been reinstated and scientists are asked to return to duty at the facility. Their barricades are back up, although still under construction as of early this morning (8:54 AM, Quite Strongly). Already some staff and survivors have returned to the Clewett Building and restarted their labs. Staff are reminded to be on alert as proper recon of the area has not yet been concluded and threat assessments are still being analyzed. Early NecroNet reports from the tracking center at the Waish Building show 11-12 zombies outside St. Ninian's Hospital, but no other tagged zombies within a 9x9 block grid of the Waish facility.

February 1st, 2006 - Memo to all staff: Confirmed reports indicate the Clewett Building has been overrun by zombies. As such, we here mourn the tragic loss of life, especially those dedicated to fulfilling NecroTech's goal of creating a better world. At 12:00 PM today we will observe a 5-minute moment of silence for these brave souls. As a reminder to all NecroTech staff, under Article 13b, Sub-section 2, said silence is mandatory. PA systems throughout the building will be disabled during this period in an effort to enforce some peace and quiet.

Staff are also reminded to stock up on MK-II syringes in order to revive zombies, and potential NecroTech staff, arriving at Mermagen Street. That is all.

January 31st, 2006 - NecroTech staff are under advisement to be cautious when traveling outside, especially to duty stations at the Clewett Building. Increased zombie activity has been noted on NecroNet and several resource buildings in the area have recently fallen to zombie siege. Due to this threat staff are advised to not stay overnight in any resource buildings including the Clewett Building.
