Not Bad
Good show, V. PKing is not my thing, but at least you're not boring and you play a stand-up game. During your last broadcast I was whacked by blackrosethorn. If this was coordinated I'm impressed, although I fear blackrosethorn is the alt of DeathJesterChris, who is a rather boring PKer. If they are alts I'm a little disappointed, as that is multi-abuse. That's got nothing to do with you, though. See you around, kid. --Paddy Dignam 19:26, 18 July 2007 (BST)
So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish
I have to agree with Paddy, PKing is not my thing either... but so far you've given us the most amusing challenge in Danversbank. The snuff radio broadcasts were funny, in a sick and twisted sort of way. I'm just bummed I didn't get to kill you myself... but if I'm counting correctly, you got 7 of us for 1 bounty hit on you by R33F. You did a good job, you cheeky B$tard! --Anthor 01:55, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- V., are you smoking crack? You can't put a link to your radio program on the DRRP wiki. You've got screenshots of us getting whacked! What's on there now is the best you're going to get. Now stop being a vandal and go shoot somebody in the face. Cheeky bastard. --Paddy Dignam 23:36, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Ack, all right--can't blame a kid for trying. Back to face-shooting it is. --Vandr 23:40, 19 July 2007 (BST)
How Do You Get Into This PKing Lark Then?
Hypothetically speaking, if a man was to consider getting into PKing, what advice would you give? --R33F3RM4N 19:27, 31 July 2007 (BST)
- Hmmm. An interesting question!
- Well, to begin with, I would advise getting as many skills as possible before starting one's hypothetical PKing career. Killing a fellow survivor yields less XP, so you want to be skilled enough that XP isn't really a consideration. Diagnosis is essential so you can see if a survivor is wounded; all the firearm and melee skills will help; Ankle Grab is nice to have, get a bunch of zombie skills so you're not helpless when you die...
- Flak jackets are nice but optional. To tell the truth, once you start PKing you have to plan on not being able to stay alive--Bounty Hunters will find you no matter, and a flak will slow them down but not stop them. Once you do find yourself on the ground, wait at an active revive point. With a few exceptions (Danversbank's being one of them), most revivers will only check you for Brain Rot before 'viving you, and won't clear your name against the Rogues' Gallery. Failing that, break into an NT, start chewing on the Necrotechs, and a lot of the time someone will combat revive you.
- If you want to stay under the radar, pick your targets carefully. Find people sitting alone in a safehouse, or people outside, and hit them while no-one's looking. Don't linger in an area--hit and run.
- If, on the other hand, you want people to know and fear you, then again you must pick your targets carefully. Go for high-profile characters, group leaders and the like. Hit in crowded places like malls, where everyone can see you.
- Early on, decide on a code of honor and for the most part stick with it. A lot of PKers do the "Honor Among Thieves" thing, not killing other PKers, but some don't; if you do, you have to keep track of who's a PKer so you can avoid killing them. Another, even better, one to have is a rule against PKing newbies--level 6 and under are generally off limits for me. (Though, if once and a while a newb is sitting there with 5 hp left and you can't resist, no-one will blame you, as long as you don't make it a habit. Wounded newbies are PKer crack.)
- As a general guideline, don't grief. Don't kill the same guy over and over; I don't even like going after the same group for more than a few weeks. Griefing just annoys the UD populace, and ruins peoples' fun--UD is about fun, even (or especially?) the PKers. There are exceptions, of course: for zergers, for people who harass you, a group that declares war on your group, persistent Bounty Hunters, people who annoy you...
- It is entirely possible to successfully go the PKer route by your lonesome. It's a little more challenging, but it's possible. Finding a like-minded group, however, will make things a bit easier not to mention more social.
- Keep a record. At the very least record the name and ID of your prey; I like to take screenshots too. You don't have to make the record public, but it's good to have.
- Keep things light-hearted. This is only a game, after all. Before you kill someone, try to say something witty; at the very least say hello. Don't take Bounty Hunters personally--they're only doing their job. Try for creative kills--finish with a ski pole, or cricket bat, or bare fist.
- There's more, I'm sure, but those are the bare basics I would definitely tell a hypothetical guy considering the PKer lifestyle. I know Red Rum has some articles on the subject, too. --Vandr 20:35, 31 July 2007 (BST)

Congrats on your latest all time low
Thank you so much by proving my point of what a low-down, dishonest group you and Red Rum are by changing your tags to CGR and attacking the CDF in our name. Keep up the good work, it makes our propaganda machines' job so much easier. --Headless gunner W! 20:39, 28 September 2007 (BST)

I am Loki Scar-Lip, Loki Sky-Walker, Loki Giant's Child, Loki Lie-Smith. I am Loki, who is fire and wit and hate. I am Loki. And I will be under an obligation to no one." Be Don Imus for a Day
All kinds of things have happened since we last crossed paths, good sir. After intense lobbying by the DRRP, I've abandoned my GKing/PKing ways and have in fact joined the Danversbank Relief & Reconstruction Project. I still flinch and instinctively reach for my axe every time I see a generator, but the new lifestyle gets a lot more booze.
But wait! There's more! Our old buddy Anthor recently pled guilty to violating DRRP rules. The DRRP has decided that as punishment he and I will fight to the death. Tentatively Friday afternoon at 1:30pm EDT-- but I believe any time between then and 3pm would work for both him and me. Now, we need somebody to commentate our death match. Somebody with experience in broadcasting blood & mayhem.
So I've suggested that you be the commentator; haven't had an answer yet from the DRRP but am wondering whether you'd be willing. I suspect you're an honorable enough fellow that if you agreed to commentate and agreed to refrain from PKing in Danversbank in return for unmolested passage, you'd abide by your word. What do you think?
--Zombuddha 18:34, 16 October 2007 (BST)
- I'll check with the DRRP and get back to you. --Zombuddha 18:34, 16 October 2007 (BST)
- Your terms have been agreed upon. It's on for 2pm EST, but we may have a location change, possibly to the Standfast Arms. I'll keep you posted. --Zombuddha 21:04, 17 October 2007 (BST)
- Anthor says, On the Corporate Sponsors... tell Vandr I'm sponsored by Carl Walther, and Tetley! And he's bringing a knife, a golf club, a ski pole, a hockey stick, a fencing foil, a pool cue, a fencing foil, 2 flare guns, a pair of binoculars (imagine where I'm going to stick these!). Unfortunately no tennis racket... so I might have to finish with one of the stick things.. --Buddhagazelle 16:59, 19 October 2007 (BST)

Vandr, thank you for commentating on the Zombuddha vs. Anthor DeathMatch. A good time was had by all, and there have been many laughs. I hope the transcript will go up on WPKU as it's very funny. Thanks again, --Anthor 23:05, 19 October 2007 (BST)

Warning
You have been warned in accordance with this case on A/VB. This is your second warning, however you were very lucky that you managed 250 edits in the two months (barely, on both counts, by about 10 edits and 2 days all in all) and thus the earlier warning has been struck. Please refrain from doing bad things. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 10:22, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

- Ah, no I wasn't aware, my apologies. I haven't done much wiki voting, I'm afraid. --Vandr 16:56, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- You should read Template:SugVoteRules, unless you already have. It's the text that's under every suggestion. The bit about re'ing is in there. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 17:10, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

yeah man, we were there before hand and managed to break in the doors and do some dmg. I admit we have a small strike team and you guys did a lot of the work, but the other members who were there are not on the wiki and did not post that they were there immediately. im kinda the wiki spokesperson for our extinction shadow strike team. i usually post on the wiki of whatever place we break into. can prob check out calvert mall and pitman mansion and a few others we've done. anyways, its not a big deal, we are continuing to break into places and workin on keeping the wiki up to date with our acheivements. just wanted to let everyone know we were there is all. --Krazyxman 09:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

It was a pleasure being PK'd by you in Buttonville today. Though I must admit, I was a bit hurt. No sweet talk before you fired the first shot? No cuddling after the murder?
