I'm still a little confused as to why I'm the one to do this, having Mr. Burgundy or another iconic member come back to do it would have been a fitting end for the group. But anyway, reports from one of its older members confirm that the group has been without activity for quite some time. According to forum and wiki activity the group has been inactive for many months, well past the 4 month waiting period for historical group nominations.

The MOB defined [[Barhah#Controversy and Fundamentalis|Barhah Fundamentalism]] for Malton, putting into sharp focus the philosophy of always-dead, migratory, horde-focused zombies. While the MOB reigned, zombies and death cultists everywhere had to reconsider or sheepishly justify their necro-religious beliefs. The MOB maintained multiple effective strike teams for years. For years, zombie activity in Malton consisted primarily of a deep red Ridleybank and an uncontrollable wrecking ball in the form of the MOB. It was like a nonstop, all-seasons Mall Tour or Big Bash. Survivors could not stop it, so they resorted to [[River Tactics|fleeing in terror and picking up the mess left behind]]. Jorm, The Prophet of Barhah, is personally notable for:

Again, I really don't know what to say about C4NT because I assume that if you're anyone who's anyone you already know what there is to know. They were led by the hilarious [[User:Ron Burgundy|Ron Burgundy]] till 2008, probably one of the only real legendary survivors of UD, and have had a huge influence and impact in UD's earlier history, most famously the [[Battle of Blackmore]], and also the [[First Siege of Caiger Mall|first]], [[Second Siege of Caiger Mall|second]] and [[Third Siege of Caiger Mall|third]] sieges of [[Caiger Mall]]. As a new ~2007 user, my bedtime lullabies were stories of Ron Burgundy and his quests for Glorious Battle, something I'm sure many of today's users can relate to. I only joined C4NT for a short period of time but in that small amount I had a ball, they were great players and funny roleplayers.

So here is the nomination I guess. Again, not really sure if I should add anything, since I'm assuming anyone who's been here for more than a few months will recognise them as historical in a splitsecond, but if you have more to add just add it below here I guess, or in your vote. I really liked C4NT and it's sad to see it go but It'll also be really fitting to finally see them go into Historical Groups (hopefully).

The EBD had been active since 2016, and included dozens of members, including both veterans and entire newbies. They maintained good relationships with survivor groups (including, but not limited to the DHPD, SoC, Knights Templar and the DEM) and zombie groups (specifically the Daubeney Resident Zombies next door, and of course our favourite frenemies in the RRF).

Obtaining Historical Status

A policy is in place which outlines the method to attain historical status.

  1. Groups must no longer actively contribute to the game.
  2. A nomination should be made on Category talk:Historical Groups.
  3. Voting will last for exactly two weeks following nomination. To be successful, a group must be approved by 2/3 of eligible voters to pass. A minimum of 15 votes must be cast for the vote to be valid. The only allowable votes are Yes and No.
  4. Groups that pass will be added to the category as described below.
  5. Groups must allow a week to pass between nominations.
  6. Groups must allow 4 months in between when the group disbands and when they can be nominated for Historical Status. (Note: Only for Malton-based groups)

The East Becktown Defenders officially disbanded on May 1st, 2020, which makes them eligible for Historical Group status. The EBD had been active since 2016, and included dozens of members, including both veterans and entire newbies.
