Paynterton is a suburb of Malton, located to the far east end of the city.

Since the large fire in the 80s, this area has become a largely developed and crime free suburb. Necrotech opted to build a complex of five research laboratories here; and as a result, NecroNet coverage includes the entire suburb. In order to keep up a good local profile they also contributed to maintain five local museums, including the famous Spike Milligan Museum, one block north of the suburb's MalTel phone mast.

Since the outbreak, survivors have been trying to find shelter in the few defensible buildings that dot the suburb, and Necrotech operations have been continuing at full pace thanks to the steady influx of fresh zombie test subjects.

The suburb is home to four locations on the Amusing Locations in Malton list. Of these, Douch Street is the location that spawned renewed interest in the list itself. Paynterton was one of the areas hardest hit by the Great Fire of 1912, and St. Pius's Church was established directly as a result of the religious outfall following the fire. The other locations on the list are Longmate Plaza and Hyman Street.

Revivification Requests

Anyone looking for a revive in Paynterton should head to the cemetery (93, 39). The South Paynterton Aces service this revive point regularly so just kick back and relax (shoes shined while you wait). Post revive requests on their forum and they'll come help!

The Montacute Building has been designated a Revivification Point and Rot Revive Clinic for zombies suffering from Brain Rot. Please follow the guide when getting or giving revives.

Also, The South Paynterton Aces are operating a Rotters Revive Clinic at Casely NT building [93,40] in North Starlingtown, (next to Gracewood NT building and the normal revive point)

December 18, 2021

Survivors have returned to the suburb and now outnumber the zombies. Repairs to the suburb are slowly progressing. A few resource buildings remain in zombies hands. Many non-resource buildings have repair costs in the 90s. Revives are once again available, although rot revives have not yet resumed.Jenkem (talk) 16:28, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

October 5, 2021

After months of calm, Paynterton has been sacked by a large zombie horde, including members of the Dead. All resource buildings are ruined and occupied, in most instance by multiple zombies. Almost all non-resources buildings are also ruined, and most are occupied by one or two zombies. Jenkem (talk) 16:57, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

April 9, 2021

A brief but intense rampage by the Scourge ruined all the buildings in south Paynterton last week. As of today, all buildings in south Paynterton have been restored by the South Paynterton Aces and their allies. The rot relief clinic in Casely NT has resumed normal function.
