Help
Hi, I'm new to the game, only been playing a month or so, saw I got a mail from you offering help if I needed anything. Well I have an issue. I donated 10 bucks to the game, but of my three characters, none of them have been exempt from the IP limit. I read something about an IP limit flag I needed to put on my settings page, but honestly I'm just lost. How do I get my IP exceptions? --Draig Ravenstorm 20:58, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Your fine work...
...has earned you a weak vouch in your next Re-evaluation bid. Congratulations! :D

Good Day
Good day kind sir. This has nothing to do with Chiton or the Knights, it's more a question of wikifu. Mine is quite rusty, and I was wondering if you perhaps knew if there was a scroll-box code on this blasted contraption.
Thank you kindly!

Hello
Hello Misanthropy, just a little out of character talk...I(the person behind the computer) am American, I cannot actually speak Irish. My character, Patrick MacManus is Irish. Sorry for the confusion, if you could please edit(resend) the message you just sent me, I could respond appropriately.--Patrick MacManus talk 04:30, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, yea by what the translator could translate I figured it had to do something with the map, which I LOVE. I love all the things I have in a way stole(which I thank you and the PKA for). I really wish I could be that good at coding or ever writing and story telling. But anyways thanks for the welcome and just wanted to say that I have followed your work(on an alt I won't name) and am a huge fan of your violent ways.--Patrick MacManus talk 04:48, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
a tapestry for richard iii and his wine cases
I have produced a simple document that lists our terms of engagement with The Rainbow Organisation. Either they kill one innocent for every member in their group, or we kill them 'til we're bored and move on. Considering they aren't exactly proving a great deal of resistance, I can only imagine the second will come true - but I'm keeping my hopes up that we get a little disorder out of this. -- RHPK | burning chiton 19:34, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Finish your dealings with TRO. I intend on providing this engagement of ours with a clear victory - i.e. over a one-to-three kill-to-death ratio - and then declaring a brief jihad as-sayf against some color of the visual spectrum. I'm thinking yellow - I have only ever given those wavelengths my sincerest love, but the return has been stingy to say the least. -- RHPK | burning chiton 19:08, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Regarding this
Don't you need to provide a link to his A/DE request, as per the recent policy (i.e. what the Formalisation section says). —Aichon— 01:27, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Leniency
Perhaps I am. The central point is that the page remains, other than that its all less important. the characters are zerg listed, and everyone who may be interested via the wiki knows about it, via the actual page or the arbitration itself. I've never talked to chev or his group on wiki and have no intention of doing so. As for the claims I'm an obvious zerger, its also a challenge to him to put up, or quieten down. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 12:16, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

User Pages
Please don't edit my user pages without permission as you did here. The recent vandal cases and the large template at the top may provide you with the clue you seem to be needing. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 00:58, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Again, if you actually thought you could have gotten away with getting him warned (or if you actually gave a shit about what you preach) you would be sending him to A/VB now instead of bitching like a whore with hollow accusations of "precedent". -- 04:28, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- If they persisted then I would have ruled vandalism, but I think you really should have just removed the comments and warned them not to do it again on their talk pages before going to A/VB. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 16:03, 16 September 2009 (BST)
- So this would be the warning you wanted so you can rule vandalism by your own previous ruling. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 04:54, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Request for a little wiki help
can't understand why this doesn't work:
{{if_equal|{{PAGENAME}}|Some Page|Main Page|[[NA|<span style="color:red">NA</span>]]}}
And why does it work without the <span>? --fe328 19:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'm the one that created the
if equal
template, so I may be able to help on this. Try doing something like this instead:
{{if_equal|1={{PAGENAME}}|2=Some Page|3=Main Page|4=[[NA|<span style="color:red">NA</span>]]}}
- I suspect that the issue isn't with the span, but rather with the equal sign. Since an equal sign in a template denotes that a variable name is on the left and a variable is on the right, having the equal sign in the template code confuses the wiki software. By explicitly providing the template variable names though, it gets around the issue. If that doesn't work for some reason, replace the
|
with{{!}}
as well, but I doubt that's the issue, since it should be properly parsed as being inside of the link. —Aichon— 19:47, 24 February 2010 (UTC)- As a side note, I glanced at your Sandbox and saw what you're trying to do. The equal sign should do the trick, I believe. I actually did something very similar (though slightly more complicated) here, if you'd like to see something for reference. —Aichon— 19:55, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- oh! That really helped. There's a lot I don't know about wiki) Thanks! --fe328 20:13, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

The following page(s) were orphaned, meaning they weren't linked from any other page on UDWiki. For house-keeping's sake, we are adding the link onto the relevant talk page. If you don't want the pages anymore just post them on the Deletions Page. You aren't required to do anything, but we'd appreciate if it you kept the link on any one of your pages.
Please note that the link provided below will not remove the page from Orphaned Pages, so you'll still need to manually make a link for us. Thank you. |

Thaed
Hi,... I don't really know Thaed that well,... but I don't ever recall him having posted such personal information on his User mainspace like what can be seen in this revision.... and I agree with Red Hawk that it seems fairly odd that he'd be blanking pages like that. I'm wondering if his account's been hacked, and if there is some way we could investigate that at all... what do you think? I'm going to hit up a couple other Sysop/Wiki Mod's on this too... so if you want to contact me via my talk page about it, or post in the relative subsection of my talk page, that would be cool.... -Poodle of DoomM! Is my signature a problem?
I use the four tildes when signing posts, put my sig as my nickname. I just noticed that it was posting the full character count of my signature code plus what ever I added on the recent changes page. Am I doing it wrong? Or am I just being ignorant? Or is there an easier, cleaner way to sign? Just curious. Thanks. MikhailKalashnikov разговор 06:16, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- *barges in* I think it's probably an issue with the fact that your signature is being substituted into the pages where you place it, rather than being included, as far as I can tell (i.e. when substituting, it's no different than copy/pasting the code for your sig and putting it where the tildes are, whereas with including, it's like putting a placeholder where the tildes are, and telling the wiki to grab the sig later). If you check here, it mentions putting in
nosubst
in the Nickname field of your preferences. Did you do that? If not, that would probably explain why. Thesubst
statement makes your signature get included, and the wiki inserts it by default in the Nickname field, even if you didn't type it in. To get around it, we add innosubst
, which changes it from being substituted to included.
- Anyway, it's not a problem either way. The advantage of having it included is that if you change your signature later, all previous uses of it change as well. If it's substituted, then they stay as they were at that time. The disadvantage of including it is that it puts slightly more strain on the wiki and it also can break with pages that have loads of templates or very large templates. —Aichon— 06:46, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sweet, thanks. I noticed the mess of code people would have to wade through after I post danger reports or on talk pages, as above. Figured it was something that 'crats would have to report or clean up. I guess I was asking Misanthropy because it was his code that I bastardized. Anyways, thanks for barging in and helping me out yet again. It's appreciated. You should get a cake or a medal for being so durn'd helpful on the wiki, or maybe some kind of code equivalent. I don't know if it get's much better than those cookie templates. MikhailKalashnikov разговор 01:51, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Lumberjacks png file
What did you do with The Lumberjacks.png when you deleted our Penny Heights group listing? Can you put it back? Spend a few months in the wild managing the forest of zombies and the administration goes all postal! --Piker Pete 23:55, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, restore the png if you can. The Lumberjacks have been active; just don't pay much attention to the meta-game. --Piker Pete 00:05, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
- If it was deleted by me within the last two months there, it'll still be saved onto my computer. I save all unused images I delete, but I don't know which image you mean. -- 04:33, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
