August 2008

August 30th

Roachtown is beginning to improve. The north and center are mainly in Umbrella and Roachklip control. There are around 20 zeds running around. South is still quite dangerous though.--MisterGame 23:23, 30 August 2008 (BST)

August 25th

Sorry about the lack of response to your post Adavasator. The ROACH Klips are still very much active in the suburb of Roachtown even though we're not too active on the wiki. Took the liberty to add our group to the active group listing again. --Necros Nastigast 06:45, 25 August 2008 (BST)

August 18th

After recent requests solicited no response, the following group links have been removed from the suburb.

In addition, the following active group requested they no longer be listed under this suburb.

If any of these groups are still active, please add them again. --Adavastor 22:31, 18 August 2008 (BST)

August 10th

External Military: "... leaving Roachtown, counted about forty outside ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... only one building with lights on ... heavy structural damage ... the Chudley Building is in bad shape ..." Laitaine 16:27, 10 August 2008 (BST)

August 5th

Thanks to the efforts of the Ridleybank Resistance Front's GMT Breakfast Club and assorted feral zombies, this suburb is a wasteland. --Papa Moloch 23:53, 5 August 2008 (BST)

July

July 30th

This place is bad, zombies everywhere and safe buildings have been destroyed. Lower level players should avoid this place at all cost. ~~ Epicramen 14:54, July 30th (CST)

July 28th

External Military: "... leaving Roachtown, counted maybe fifty outside ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... most of the buildings are ruined ... the Chudley Building is in bad shape ..." Laitaine 15:53, 28 July 2008 (BST)

July 6th

Zombie threat is high. There are small groups of zeds wandering the streets, and I haven't seen any survivors. The Haim NT building is down, though they haven't destroyed the generator yet. The rest of the buildings in the area are all unbarracaded and ruined. I think we can consider Roachtown to be in zed hands for the moment. --User:Stars 96 12:44 PM (MST)

June

June 26th

Increasing danger level. Much of the SE section of Roachtown is collapsing and for a while the chaos was reaching into the depths of the suburb before survivors could effectively react.--Jackson 00:32, 28 June 2008 (BST)

June 26th

Several small zombie groups moving up from the southeast, group sizes range from 4 to 9, northwest seems pretty safe but the zombies are moving up pretty quickly. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Scarecrow63 (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

June 22nd

Zeds are coming up Ridleybank and invading southern Roachtown. The free-running lanes in southern Roachtown are a mess. Several buildings are sitting pinatas with zeds outside and in. Most buildings are unpowered, and several completely unmanned. Break-ins happening often. Attacks happening at The Bourder Building [50,34], The Portman Building [50,35], Alner Mansion (primarily the attack is happening in the SW corner [51,37]. Haim Bldg [50,38], Club Pearce [51,38] and Glanfield Cinema [52,38] are dark, ranscaked and have zeds outside and in. Survivor count on the southern half of town is extremely low. Zeds outnumber humans in the south of town 3 to 1. Could use some backup if it's so safe.-- Kai Tan Sying Malton Rangers 04:14, 22 June 2008 (BST)

June 21st

Most of burb is pretty much safe (thanks to the Umbrella Corporation and the Roach klips, along with the local survivors.)with some minor break-ins. The TRP's are mainly in survivor hands, and I did not see any zed group over 50.--MisterGame 17:55, 21 June 2008 (BST)

June 17th

Roachtown, at least the south-western region, is overrun. --Carby 14:12, 17 June 2008

June 11th

The Zeds are everywhere. I saw many ruined buildings in the west side of Roachtown, along with many small groups of zeds. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RC Michow (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

June 1st

Recent recon of the suburb shows that only two buildings in Roachtown are ruined and that zed numbers remain below 25 despite the reapearance of RRF to the South. Even though buildings are even harder to repair and often not worth it due to the new rediculess mod, Roachtown and the Roach Klips will continue to stand strong. All Umbrella and UBCS members are to continue with Operation: Homegrown Part Duex until new orders are given. --Jackson 01:07, 1 June 2008 (BST) out. <math>Insert formula here</math>

May

May 16th

A recent recon of the suburb show that less than 90% of the buildings remain standing throughout the day. Upgrading danger level to yellow.--Jackson 09:07, 16 May 2008 (BST)

May 6th

Almost all TRPs are functional. < 3 ruined buildings remain in the suburb. Small concentrations of zombies exist, but none larger than the 6 outside Chudley NT. Suburb status updated to yellow.--JFX 13:51, 6 May 2008 (BST)

May 1st

Some TRPs are still functional, including both NTs, but non-ruined buildings are strictly block to block, making free running impossible. Zombies are spread out, but generally massed against TRPs or more heavily barricaded buildings (group numbers 4+ throughout the suburb).--FT MCI 17:51, 1 May 2008 (BST)

March

March 31st

Military report: "... leaving Roachtown, counted a hundred or so outside ... all stragglers, no groups ... no lights on down there ... it's a wasteland down there ... the Chudley Building has fallen - repeat, the Chudley Building has fallen ..."--Scott Timewell 05:18, 31 March 2008 (BST)

March 27th

Almost all buildings are still ruined. Zombies are widely dispersed but rather few in numbers. Seculus 20:32, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

March 20th

My alt is there now, it is not a ghost town, it may be on it's way there but there are still a few survivors and many zombies. --ZSandmann 15:12, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

March 19th

I was able to complete a partial scout of this suburb before I ran out of ap. I did not see a single standing building but I didn't see any zombie either. I'm updating the danger level of this suburb to ghost town until someone has the ap available to make a complete scout of this suburb. The man 19:42, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Negative! There are survivors and zombies roaming around in the South West Corner! However, resource buildings have all been ransacked and survivors don't seem to be making much of any attempt at keeping this town alive.--Lokanus 21:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

March 12th

Most buildings are in a good state and are well occupied by humans. This suburb needs atleast one downgrade.--MisterGame 16:57, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

February

February 23rd

Wow, lots of zombies coming from the north, I was chewed but still alive. Definitively, buildings are ruined with 4-10 zombies inside. Situation seems very bad. There were zombies in every block. --Lithedarkangel 22:23, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

February 22nd

Zombies coming from the north, most buildings ruined with 6-10 zombies outside and inside situation unknown. Some zombies are active and are ready to chew on you!--Lithedarkangel 22:21, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

February 21st

Not big zombie hordes however there are 4-10 zed groups in the North of Roachtown probably because of the Second Big Bash.--Lithedarkangel 20:16, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Update - Define "big" - The BB2 living up to its goal - dozens pushing south from the border of Shearbank, EHB's disappearing, buildings in ruins along border overnight. The South might well be safer (or not?), but the North is too chaotic to NOT consider dangerous. (Respect to the Zed's!) --Swingin' Sam 23:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

February 17th

After days and days of repairing, defending and clearing, the suburb of Roachtown has become safer. There are no hordes higher then 50 and most buildings have been occupied by humans. Break-ins and active zombies are no rarity though. All in all, Roachtown has been patched up, mainly thanks to the Umbrella Corporation and the ROACH Klips. Downgrading to moderate.--MisterGame 17:51, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

February 10th

The Umbrella Corporation is (re)repairing buildings in an attempt to gain a foothold in especially the northeren parts, thus gaining more security around the Rush building in southeren Shearbank.--MisterGame 17:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

February 5th

External Military reported: "... flying over Roachtown, can see maybe seventy on the streets ... mostly just small groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... heavy structural damage ... the Haim Building is looking wrecked ..." --Mobius187 18:44, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

February 3rd

The Umbrella Corporation has added another 5 five repaired buildings, including a school, fire departement and a railway station.

February 1st

The Umbrella Corporation has started to return live to the suburb of Roachtown. Already 6 buildings have been cleared and repaired and more are to follow soon.--MisterGame 17:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

January

January 18th

Recent zed success in Roachtown with the destruction of many buildings in the North. Zed population is increasing steadily and few places to hide if one is seeking shelter. Suggest this suburb be elevated to a more dangerous level.--Jackson 17:13, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

January 13th

25.96 MHz: "... leaving Roachtown, counted maybe seventy outside ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... several buildings with power ... serious collateral damage ... the Chudley Building is down ..." --DaytonDead 20:37, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

January 10th

While no reports were issued by NecroWatch from any of Roachtown's NecroTech facilities, it should still be noted that recent scans from the Nisbet and Turner Buildings just across the border in Shearbank revealed local zombie activity here. Of those zombies detected, 8 were shown assaulting St. Helena's Hospital and another 5 were at Croom Towers. --Mobius187 13:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

RP are being preyed on by PKers (i got killed by one). no strong sighns of the Roach town KILPS. a little attention would is needed quickly!!

  • Central Roachtown still secure at the moment. The west side of town has been under siege by zergers for a couple weeks now! ROACH Klips are trying to maintain the area but little to no communication from other survivors in the suburb. Bateson Street revive point clear and processing very quickly. December 21st

NecroTechnicians from Project NecroWatch were spotted in recent days at the Chudley and Haim Buildings. Rumors have it that they installed new hardware and software into every NecroTech facility with the goal of furthering coordinated and tactical NecroNet awareness throughout Malton. In truth, there are also rumors from other nearby suburbs as well which indicate similar activity which can only lead local survivors to conclude that the initiative within their suburb is not an isolated event. --Mobius187 02:33, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Groups of Zeds in the NW corner. The largest group totaling 15, standing outside a building. Overcading not an issue though.--CounterStruck 06:28, 26 October 2007 (BST)

October 10th

There is a rapidly growing zombie presence in the suburb, mostly ferals and small hordes. Over Barricading has become more prevalent, and there are many ransacked buildings. I would advise lower level survivors stay out of the area, and the danger rating for the suburb be upgraded to orange.

User:William Cooper

  • MCF would like to add that the majority of zeds are concentrated in the south east. We are asking that survivors aid in the cleansing of South Roach, before the zed numbers grow to a threatening size.

User:Sittin

October 1st

Suburb is relatively quiet. Very little Zombie presence. Over'cading has slowly become less of a problem.

September

September 19th

Survivors have consolidated their hold of the suburb. All resourse buildings firmly in survivor hands, sparse zed presence. The biggest problem at present is over barricading. Changing status to moderate. Nate Santos

September 14th

Nearly three weeks after the MOB leveled Roachtown, survivors have regained a degree of control. After a fortnight of bitter fighting between the ferals that were occupying the suburb and the ROACH Klips plus their allies in the DEM some order has been restored. The battle saw key resource buildings in the centres change hands frequently with Chudley Necrotech switching from ruined to powered every couple of days. In the later stages of the fight assistance from survivor groups MCF BRIGADE, MOD and The Hard Corps helped the humans take and hold key buildings.

At the present time most of the Suburb is barricaded and all resource buildings are in survivor hands. Zombie presence in Roachtown seems to be concentrated around Cyril General hospital but it is currently holding strong. This suburb is now only dangerous. Nate Santos

September 13th

The situation is starting to calm, but there is still a presence from the remaining zeds. MCF and several others are fighting to restore peace. Should any members of Malton feel the need to assist, feel free. -MCF OUT

September 10th

Zeds are unorganized and scattered. Its fine for travel, just don't spend the night if you don't want to fight. -MCF OUT

Roachtown is not safe at all. 50+ zombies roam the streets. All remaining survivors are advised to flee before its too late-Chezwam

August

August 22nd

Roahtown lies in ruins. The Miltant order of Barhah and large numbers of ferals have crushed the burb utterly. The Roach Klips remain in the suburb however, hiding in the ruins and running revives from Shearbank.

[User:Nate Santos|Nate Santos] 12:20, 22nd August 2007 (GMT)

August 21st

Roachtown is pretty much done. All pd's have fallen, and most resource buildings. I haven't seen another survivor all day. The Klip's seemed to have disappeared for the most part as well. MCF is going to make a run for Ketchelbank. We suggest survivors follow suit. -MCF OUT

August 20th

Changing status to very dangerous. Roachtown is a battlefield and the zeds are winning. Cyril hospital was overrun yesterday, after a spirited defence and lies in Ruins. Sires and Travers Police Department have also been destroyed. Chudley Necrotech looks certain to fall today, it's defences have been scattered and many zombies are within the perimeter.

The sudden collapse of human resistance can be attributed to the arrival of the Miltant order of Barhah in Roachtown and a reluctance among many survivors to place themselves in harm's way.

Significant numbers of buildings are still caded but they are falling fast. --Nate Santos 11:20, 20th August 2007 (GMT)

August 19th

Man are we screwed, All of the PDs in this godforsaken place are under seige or have fallen. Same for the other resource buildings. I was part of the Sire PD defence but made a break for it like the sensible person I am.

Seriously, get the hell out of here. Ginji Gallichan at 17:40.

August 17th

Cyril Hospital in the centre of Roachtown is under siege from around 30 zombies. Several break-ins have already been repelled. Local survivor groups are calling on all nearby humans to come help defend this vital building. The revive queues around Bateson St are still moving very quickly. The north of the suburb is generally secure though there is little word of the south. Nate Santos 14:29, 17th August 2007 (GMT)

August 16th

Well LUE did not pay a visit to Roachtown but the situation has still deteriorated. Much of the the south of the suburb has been over run and lies in ruins. The current shortage of toolboxes means there is little prospect of that area being restored in the coming days. The main struggle has shifted to the centre of the suburb. After several days of running battle St. Dymphna's church was ruined earlier today by a horde of around 25 zombies. It seems as if they are now turning their attention to Cyril General Hospital. There are other smaller zombie groups abroad but the considerable survivor population in the north of Roachtown means this is still one of the safer places in Central Malton. Not that such a claim is anything to boast of in these desperate times. Nate Santos 14:29, 16th August 2007 (GMT)

August 13th

The crushing violence inflicted in Shearbank by the LUE horde has sent a wave of survivor refugees into Roachtown. As instability continues to wrack that cursed locale to our north it's a trend that looks set to magnify in the coming days. Perhaps attracted by the fleeing survivors increasing numbers of Feral zeds have appeared in the burb. Worryingly for the survivor population they are beginning to form into larger groups to take down previously secure buildings.

The centre of Roachtown remains relatively secure with the various survivor groups operating effectively to quash any zombie assaults. However the edges of the suburb are very dangerous with break-ins frequent. St Helena's Hosiptal in the North West is understood to be the latest victim of this trend.

There is an odd mixture of despondency and hope abroad among the Human population of Roachtown. If LUE turn south then all hope is likely lost. If they venture elsewhere then the survivors will likely reassert their control over Roachtown in short order. Nate Santos 14:36, 13th August 2007 (GMT)

August 6th

Roachtown remains reasonably secure, particularly in the North. However there is an increasing zed presence in the south. Most buildings are barricaded with the resource buildings being both safe and well populated. However Zombies break ins to other buildings are becoming are increasong in regularity. Overall Survivors remain in firm control of the suburb. However rumours persist that the RRF Department of Homeland Security will turn it's attention to Roachtown once the last human resistance in Barrville has been squashed. very few zombies around, suburb color change required, make it green. The man 10:45, 12 June 2007 (BST)

The Veal Lane PD of the South East corner of Roachtown is now back in survivor hands. Reinforcements are needed to hold the area from the local zombie presence. And who ever edited this does not know the situation, we need experienced players to come and help as most the people who have joined in the defense of this building lack skills which will stop the PD from been retaken and if they think they know so much about whats going on I suggest that they come and join in the defense of this building *radioing out* DeathsBrother

Drama Club staged a performance of "Apocalypse Now" in the NW corner of Alner Mansion for the 2 survivors there as part of their Outward Spiral Tour of Malton. The group plans to travel in a counter-clockwise expanding spiral from the center of the town to the outer edges. See their group page for performing groups and schedules.

Alot of Zeds on the street but it looks like Alner Mansion is safe with only a few Zeds outside. -Deadfoxxx222 11:20 PST

April

April 22nd

Cyril General Hospital as well as several other buildings in central Roachtown have been barricaded and are being protected by a small dedicated group. Roach town is over run. Zombies all over the place, revive points with small hoards -- some want revives, some want fresh meat. If you're looking to be revived, best shamble yourself to a safer town where it's not so risky for the NecroTechs to save you.

Updated the danger level accordingly... this place has been eaten, zeds should head east for brains. Theres nary a barricaded building left in roachtown. Ferals wander south from the fall of stickling to celebrate in the homeland... and roachtown is just a speedbump in the road of un-life.--Danalov 12:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

August

August 27th

Suburb is pretty much clear of zeds...only those wanting revives appear to frequent the area.

August 10th

The Big Bash has passed through the area. It is now relatively safe for residents of Roachtown to return. The ROACH Klips have made their return to a surprisingly well barricaded suburb. Fixing up the rest of the place should not be hard at all.

July

July 17th

The MPD announces that the proximity of the Big Bash to Shearbank, Roachtown and Ridleybank warranted a general evacuation from these suburbs. Members of the DEM made announcements to as many pockets of survivors as they could to facilitate the evacuation. All survivors in Roachtown are urged to leave the suburb. In accordance with Operation Tumbleweed, if there is resistance, then the zombies stay; if there are no humans to eat, there is less reason for a prolonged occupation.

July 16th

Citizens of Roachtown are encouraged to temporarily evacuate to a safer suburb, until the threat of the Big Bash [1] has been eliminated. Please take extreme caution if you choose to remain in Roachtown.

July 11th

Despite the surroundings, things have calmed down. The Klips have retaken the Chudley building, and most of central Roachtown is barricaded.

July 6th

The ROACH Klips are under new management and are trying to make a comeback in the severely ravaged suburb. Please consider joining our cause, because at the moment, Roachtown isn't a very safe place to be. The revive point is functioning well, though.

June

June 29th

Yet another massive zombie invasion has taken place in the northern section. Survivors with low level skills should seek refuge in other, safer suburbs.

May

May 27th

Alner Mansion is in zombie hands, all doors opened, with some zeds inside. The town itself has a few pockets of survivors, but no big presence. There are a couple of extremely heavily barricaded buildings, but not many.

May 14th

Things are looking better in Roachtown. Not a lot of zombies but then again, not a lot of survivors to fight them. Lightly barricaded buildings like the NT and hospital are being regularly ransacked. Just not enough of us to keep them at bay. It's making it hard to keep the revive points up and going. But we keep trying.

May 6th

After nearly two days of cleaning up neighborhood I’ve finally ran into a couple of fellow survivors. Let’s hope more help is on the way, or this is going to take a while.

May 5th

I’ve finally made it back to Roachtown. After a quick scouting of the periphery it looks completely abandoned. Not many zombies but nearly every building is wide open. Only a few are secured at most. Time to get to work.

April

April 24th

Alner Mansion is down, both NT buildings have been breached. Small pockets of survivors have found each other and are trying to hold any building they can. Things are desperate. Help is needed.

April 8th

Some one has barricaded the resorce buildings too heavily. Be careful when venturing outside the resorce buildings and note that of this moment right now, you may not reenter them once outside. I also request that some of the barricades to be torn down a level for the newbies around to get in and not die!

March

March 9th

Roachtown's quieted down for now, but break-ins are still common in resource buildings. IF YOU HAVE FREE RUNNING, DO NOT STAY IN A RESOURCE BUILDING!!! That said, the feral population is still steady, and there will always be stupid newbs stuck outside, so the hunting is good for both sides. Bateston Street revive point back up.

February

February 24th

After a short lull in activity, the zombies have stormed through Roachtown again with a surprise assault which is causing wide spread panic and destruction. Several ROACH Klips were killed in the battle while trying to protect civilians and surrounding buildings. A formal reistance movement within the group is beginning to form currently. Enter Roachtown at your own risk, and survival is questionable at present. Stay out of southern Roachtown, the north is secure for now...

February 21st

Uniform Barricading Policy in effect, and it's possible to get into resource buildings now. Things have quieted down, but we still have plenty of zeds in the area, so don't stay outside, and if you want, kill some of them again.

February 18th

North-central Roachtown is extremely heavily barricaded. If you do not have free running, find shelter in the south part of Shearbank. Could someone get some of these buildings down to Very Strongly? It's extremely hard to find shelter, even with free running.

February 12th

Many buildings are secure throughout Roachtown. There are still many scattered zombies in the area! Please use caution while traveling through town. Stop in and visit with the ROACH Klips if coming this way!
