Suggestion by --Secruss 20:29, 17 August 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Brain-Rot Sub-skill

Suggestion scope
Zombies with Brain Rot

Suggestion description
This is a sub-skill of brain rot.

Its purchase allows a zombie to stand up for 2 AP less after being hit by a headshot from a zombie hunter.

It does not affect regular, non-headshot type kills.

This would be an incentive for die-hard zombies only; the ones that are always waking up from headshots.

Description: The brain stems of zombies are taking up more and more of the zombie’s mental functions. Survivors are finding it increasingly difficult to put down zombies with such severe nervous system degeneration.

2 AP is not game breaking. Lazer eyes, flying, and armies of attack robots are game breaking.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - "Maybe 1 to 2 AP less"? I agree with this suggestion in principle, but you need something solid unless you're actually suggestion a variable percentage in how much it takes to stand up.--Insomniac By Choice 20:41, 17 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Nobody likes starting with fewer AP. Kalir FTW! Z/S UD Potato Words 21:18, 17 August 2007 (BST)

  4. Keep - Sure whatever.--Karekmaps?! 21:36, 17 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Keep - Because rotters need AP. --Midianian 09:16, 18 August 2007 (BST)

  7. Keep - Sweet! --Brainz 23:59, 17 August 2007 (BST)
  8. keep - cos i would like my rotter to have the extra AP :) --Honestmistake 00:20, 18 August 2007 (BST)
-as I mentioned below, please vote with fairness of the game in mind, and not just because you want to see your zombie become invincible. When the game is unfair for one side to play, it becomes less fun for everyone.--Dr Doom86 07:16, 18 August 2007 (BST) Non Author Re struck --The Grimch Mod-U! 10:00, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  9. keep - Rotter skillz FTW! --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 00:28, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  10. keep - Rot needs some subskills. I want my cranial decomposition to mean more than syringe immunity. --The Grimch Mod-U! 00:40, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  11. Strong keep --Karloth Vois RR 12:18, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Keep Only a small portion of zombies have brain rot, compared to a large portion of survivors with headshot. The effect on balance would be minimal, but the value of brain rot would be increased.
And yes, I WOULD like to see a survivor bonus to replace a nerfed headshot. Any ideas out there? SIM Core Map.png Swiers 16:49, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  13. Keep - The name sucks. Should be Look Ma No Head. -- John RubinT! ZG FER 20:20, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  14. Keep - It's very good, of course we need AP. To those who voted kill it's supposed to be an INCENTIVE, of course dual nature players shouldn't have the best of both worlds, and to those who voted spam, SPAM?!? if those are your reasons you should have voted kill... -- Packer 5:48, 21 August 2007 (BST)
  15. Keep - revise, improve, move forward. Rotters need sub skills and incentive, this is a great idea. I am a bit worried about nerfing headshots, but over all sounds very balanced and maybe would even out the game. --Jack13 21:21, 21 August 2007 (BST)
  16. Main survivor weapon is NOT headshot! The main survivor weapons are syringes and barricades. Guns are only XP farms and body chuck tools. The only people who are voting against this either don't know how the game works, want to be able to play effectivly in both classes, or are trenchcoater gun-luvin N00bz. Kill Votes

  1. Kill - I don't want to have to buy Brain Rot to be maximally effective as a zombie. --  T   21:20, 17 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - See above. Not a good thing for career dual nature players. --Animi 22:13, 17 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - What's with all these oblique "nullify/diffuse Headshot" suggestions? Why not just be upfront about it and put forward a "Drop Headshot from the Game" suggestion. Headshot is a minor annoyance, and one of the few ways Survivors have of effecting Zombies at all. Leave it alone, unless you want to offer Survivors a bonus of their own in the process to make up for the nullification/diffusion of Headshot.--Sara M 09:32, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - What did the old timers used to say... "multiply by a million"? Na, this is the price zombies have to pay for their ?rise tactics, multiple headshots... otherwise there is no downside to the tactic The preceding signed comment was added by boxy (talkcontribs) at 10:27 18 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill -- A loss of mental capacity should cause standing to be more difficult, not easier. --Firemanrik 19:31, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  6. Strong Kill - Same as Sara M and many others above and below --Ryiis 20:34, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Uber-mega-hyper Strong Kill - "Not game unbalancing?" Uhm, excuse me? I'll go through the math here and now. Assuming it's a 'brain rot' subskill? Just counting level 41 and 42 zombies, that's 2115 people who would benefit. Times 2 AP... that's 4,230 more AP for the zombies, PER DAY. That's enough to break into and kill any mall, PER DAY. Game unbalancing? Easily. Not only that, but the survivor counterpart- Headshot- would be nullified. Almost completely nullified. If you now take that as a relative given, then now: The zombies would now have Brain Rot as an unbalanced skill. The bite/infection tree is countered by heal and bodybuilding, the hand/attack tree is countered by construction, and the survivor's radio operation and tagging are equivalent to the gestures and death rattle of the zombies, and our firearms skills are equivalent to your lurching gait and ankle grab. Brain rot is currently balanced by Headshot. This would effectively make zombies not only immortal, but invincible. Now, at least, survivors can still kill Brainrotted zombies to SOME effect... with this suggestion, survivors would be screwed between a rock and a hard place. Now for some Wiki quotes on the subject: "The List Before suggesting any of the following, read ALL the linked similar suggestions. Avoid submitting ideas which are very similar to the existing suggestions. " "Headshot Removal/Changes". If anyone can think of ANY OTHER WAY I can tell this muldoon that he needs to think for five seconds before making a partisan, hasty, unbalancing suggestion, feel free. Nalikill 15:56, 19 August 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill - No way. Standing up is easy enough already.-- [ ρsych°Lychεε ]  T 16:14, 20 August 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - As above. --Pdeq 23:14, 22 August 2007 (BST)
  10. God no! - Head shot is the main thing survivors have againgst zombies. Keeps them on the ground for a bit.--Seventythree 23:18, 22 August 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - I believe Nalikill has effectively proven why this skill is a no-go. --Private Mark 17:24, 25 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Nali-kill - He may not be the best suggester, but he sure is good at destroying the suggestions of others. --Anotherpongo 15:13, 27 August 2007 (BST)
  13. Headshot It's the only thing we have. It's a good suggestion for RP, but multiply it's effects by a billion... --Driaquer 04:41, 29 August 2007 (BST)
  14. Kill - Zombies can already stand up for just 5 AP, it barely pays for survivors to kill zombies. Unless you suggest another skill that counteracts this by giving survivors a sub-set to headshot, this is a hugely bad idea. --Kazakum 03:17, 30 August 2007 (BST)
  15. Kill - Killing zombies is already practically useless --Ju Ju Master 21:41, 31 August 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - Sorry, but I don't agree with this, in fact I think it is asking too much. Rotters are already immune from CRing, that

immunity comes at the price of never turning back (well, rarely). The ones who make this choice are dedicated zeds anyway, so it's hardly a sacrifice. It's a benefit. Why should they be able to get a double benefit. First they suffer less AP loss than a non brainrotted zed because of immunity to CRing, and then they should be granted more AP. If anyone needs more AP it is those who lose more, not those who lose less. - Whitehouse 00:43, 18 August 2007 (BST)

  1. Spam - In this case, 2AP is game-breaking. Survivor-zombie combat is essentially a war of AP. If the survivors can't put barricades up faster than the zombies can tear them down, then they'll get eaten. To a zombie, death is a mere inconvenience. They don't have to find a revive point and Mrh? for a while before they can get up and help their side out again. They just stand right up and carry on fighting. Zombies cannot be stopped, just slowed down. This suggestion would make it too hard for survivors to even do that, by giving the zombie side even more AP to attack with. -- Pavluk 01:01, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - 6 AP is almost nothing compared to how much AP the survivor uses. Anything less is beyond ridiculous. Stupid stupid stupid. Headshot is fine. Zombies already have the ability to stay put indefinitely. You can make survivors go away by killing them and ransacking NTs. You can't make zombies go away. The 6AP headshot is for making these zombies less potent (and a reason to kill zombies other than to remove them from buildings). --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 02:47, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam -This effectively means zombies will suffer zero penalty for dying. As was mentioned above, the only way for survivors to combat zombies, is to slow them down enough to put up some barricades. This makes it impossible to do even that. When survivors die, they can miss out on several days worth of AP waiting for a revive. Its only fair that zombies pay some sort of penalty for death as well, and 6 AP is hardly any type of a penalty. Make it less than that, and the game is horribly unbalanced. Please vote with fairness in mind on this issue, and not just because you want to see your zombie become invincible.--Dr Doom86 07:13, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Spam - awfull --~~~~T''' 09:51, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Spam - 6AP to stand up isn't a lot at the moment- it should be more not less. --MarieThe Grove on Tour 13:06, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  6. Spam - Same as Marie. --Vortexx 14:45, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Spam - As above. --Saluton 16:08, 18 August 2007 (BST)
  8. Getting rid of headshot or nerfing headshot is good. But can you come up with some other flavor? Headshot making it harder to stand up already sounds stupid. Now...your mind has offically driven you insane, so that makes it even easier to stand up? Makes no sense. --ShadowScope 03:36, 19 August 2007 (BST)
  9. Supah spam -I vote against all BR sub-skills anyway, and don't nerf headshot.--AlexanderRM 23:34, 19 August 2007 (BST)
  10. SPAM!!!! - can we say "BROKEN", kidz? --WanYao 01:08, 25 August 2007 (BST)
