20071217 Revivification Clarification

Suggestion type
Improvement
Suggestion scope
Display of dead bodies
Suggestion description
Right now when you see a pile of dead bodies that contain people on your contact list and you have Scent Death this is what it looks like:
There are X dead bodies here. Y of them smell strange. You recognise A, B, C and D amongst them.
This doesn't make it clear whether or not your contact is revived or not. Why not make it:
There are X dead bodies here. Y of them smell strange, including A and B. D and C are amongst the rest.
I often want to know if a friend or enemy I see lying dead has been revived or not. This is a small change that would make that possible.
- Note: It doesn't really matter as to the exact text of the message as long as it conveys the necessary information. Midianian suggested: "There are X dead bodies here. You recognise A and B amongst them. Y of them, including C and D, smell strange." --Jon Pyre 18:59, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

- Keep - Why not? I agree that it should be clarified whether people on my contact list are dead or getting revived.--Srg Shawn 18:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Revivification Clarification Modification - "There are X dead bodies here. You recognise A and B amongst them. Y of them, including C and D, smell strange." --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 18:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Re Yeah, that works just fine. Anything that distinguishes dead contacts from reviving contacts. --Jon Pyre 18:58, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Jeep As in just keep. I can't see anything wrong with it, although I dont see the point, unless you are a survivor.--Rosslessness 18:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - I support this, especially Mid's version --Druuuuu OcTRR 19:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

- Keep - Getting the phrasing less awkward is important, but the principle is good. If narratively one should know it, tell it. --Pgunn 19:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Helps out, without making anything game-breaking. Good suggestion AngelBlade 20:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - the wording is a little ...off, but as above that could be changed.--'BPTmz 20:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - wow, I never noticed it didn't do that, needs implement--CorndogheroT-S-Z 20:36, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Agree it's currently confusing and was probably an unintended oversight. If you can smell exactly how many smell strange, makes sense you could tell if one of those was someone you know. --Shoot 1st 21:33, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Sure. BoboTalkClown 22:51, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

- Keep- I would like this to be in effect. Not every contact on my list I cant revived, so I would like to know if they are lying facedown, if they can stand up and walk around, or if they are still dead. -doc crook 04:05, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Kill Votes
- Kill - because you're not sure which bodies smell strange --~~~~ [talk] 20:28, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Kill/Change - there should be a cost for the extra info. Maybe 1AP to "snort the dead". (That flavour text was a joke, before anyone starts.) --Funt Solo QT 21:53, 17 December 2007 (UTC). Vote changed due to new evidence. --Funt Solo QT 09:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)- *"That is Catering Officer Olaf Peterson" :) --Pgunn 00:00, 18 December 2007 (UTC) Non-author reply. --Z. slay3r • Talk 00:11, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - As the kill voters, it's vague for a reason don't nerf body anonymity.--Karekmaps?! 00:33, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Spam/dupe - I'm sure this has been suggested before... but anyway, as far as I'm concerned, this is a huge no-no. Scent death is a zombie skill, this addition to it is only useful to survivor oriented players -- boxy talk • i 01:47 18 December 2007 (BST)
