==Gnome's wonderful User & Talk page!==

== + ==
Hello there,Gnome!
I like that template of yours.It really shows how protective the gnome can be.
It's wonderful in finding your User page and quite a neat useful Talk page too.
[[User:Anetheron|Anetheron]] 04:02, 2 July 2008 (BST)
Please drop by my tiny talk page with a word of wisdom or two,at any time you'd fancy.
Best regards,[[User:Concerned&#39;Citizen|Concerned&#39;Citizen]] 01:26, 3 June 2013 (BST)
Edit: grand and most wonderful in having you have a peek! haha.
Um,I've taken the liberty in editing the post's title; 3. 2 ... did not look quite right,thus renamed it to One...Two (and the rest is the same) - hope that you'll like it and .. and have a good healthy smile about it!
Cheers and wishing you a grand good day there! [[User:Concerned&#39;Citizen|Concerned&#39;Citizen]] 04:21, 4 June 2013 (BST)

Continuing from our in-game conversation, all you do is check the clothing options in any cinemas you find for 3D glasses and then add the cinema's wiki page to [[:Category:3D Cinemas|3D Cinemas]]. <!--If it has the glasses of course.--> So far I have been keeping track of cinemas with [[User:Klexur/Sandbox/Demo4|this]] and [[User:Klexur/Sandbox#3D Cinemas|this]]. I was debating on placing the [[User:Klexur/Sandbox/Template4|template]] in the Template space, but since it's not completed I haven't. Feel free to edit it if you want to add cinema locations. --{{User:Klexur/Signature}} 04:45, 24 October 2012 (BST)
:Okay-dok. Which suburbs do you (and I) want to do? --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 00:24, 25 October 2012 (BST)
::These suburbs have no cinemas and therefore need not be checked: {{Pre|Barrville, Dartside, Darvall Heights, Dunningwood, Eastonwood, Gibsonton, Greentown, Grigg Heights, Judgewood, Ketchelbank, Pegton, Penny Heights, Pescodside, Ridleybank, Williamsville, Wyke Hills}}
::These have already been found to have 3D glasses so we could skip checking them for now: {{Pre|East Boundwood, Gatcombeton, Lerwill Heights, Pashenton, Quarlesbank, Rhodenbank, Roftwood, Roywood, Ruddlebank, Shuttlebank, West Grayside, Whittenside, Yagoton}}
::That just leaves the rest of Malton, except the northern edge which I walked through once and the cinemas were either ruined or non-3D. I really need to recruit more people to help with this considering how large an area it is to search. --{{User:Klexur/Signature}} 15:41, 25 October 2012 (BST)
:::I could start with the SW corner, and work my way east. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 16:15, 25 October 2012 (BST)
::::Thanks, that'd actually be a big help. --{{User:Klexur/Signature}} 16:58, 25 October 2012 (BST)
Apparently, ruined buildings prevents any clothing items to be found, so this will be more difficult than I thought, with all the generators, fuel, and ammo I'll need.--{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 21:01, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
:Yeah, I found that out the hard way when I started. I didn't think to mention things like that. Sorry. =S --{{User:Klexur/Signature}} 02:32, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I feel bad that you've been making so many updates and I haven't. It's hard finding a revive in some of these deserted suburbs. I don't know how you manage it. --{{User:Klexur/Signature}} 04:57, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
:I have a very (im)polite revive me note on my zombie profile. That must be it. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 05:02, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

I checked cinemas in Brooksville and most of the South Blythville (only [[Bennet Cinema]] isn't checked. I was going through recent changes, with aid of pure boredom it felt like good idea. If you don't belive me you can go and double check it - all cinemas in area are caded. --[[User:Labla|Labla]] 16:45, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
:Thanks! Just checked Bennet. Nothing three dimensional happening. Everything is 2D. The lack of height is uncomfortable on my stature. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 23:58, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Heh, this + thing is really cool. I have never noticed it before.--[[User:Thekooks|KOOKY]] 16:00, 7 June 2008 (BST)

:It's quite useful, yep. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 16:26, 7 June 2008 (BST)
::Indeed it is.  By the way, Gnome, this is for you:
{{Gnome|Axe Hack}}
What?  You think I don't know you have spies spying on me? (+1) ----{{User:Axe Hack/Sig}} 14:49, 8 June 2008 (BST) And don't try me with that knife.  I'm wearing full body armor.  And it's very difficult to walk in this... --{{User:Axe Hack/Sig}} 14:51, 8 June 2008 (BST)

== A question... ==

Please go to http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/UDWiki:Administration/Deletions and vote Keep so that the Grimch doesn't try to delete the template I made for you (and others). Thank you. --[[User:Tselita|Tselita]] 13:17, 27 June 2008 (BST)
I've posed this question before, but with all the wiki game work you've done, you might know an answer. Is there a way through a link to edit a page?  I really, really want to make single click updates for buildings (you click on safe, ruined, etc and then just click submit), but I don't know how or if it's possible to add text to the edit box (I'm pretty sure there is a way to do so with the subject line, but that doesn't help).  You seem like quite the wiki... um, gnome, and I thought you might have some suggestions on the matter. --[[User:Kirsty_cotton|<span style="color: lightgrey">K</span>]] 23:18, 25 April 2013 (BST)
:I would, but I don't know how to scroll down the edit window on my iPod. {{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 00:01, 1 July 2008 (BST)
:If I remember correctly, [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:InputBox InputBox] allows you to have pre-set/pre-loaded (automatically placed) text/code in the edit box when you create a page. (This is to help out newbies; I don't know about already-existing pages.) I also remember you could remove the search field and just have a named button, such as "Safe" or "Ruined". We don't have this extension and we're not getting it. ([[User talk:Kevan#Hi Kevan|I asked]].) I know [[User talk:Klexur|Klexur]] managed to have a template pop-up automatically, but yeah, that doesn't help. I'm pretty sure this requires an extension, so no luck. {{sad}} --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 23:39, 25 April 2013 (BST)

let me see... you agree that the precedence is silly, you agree that its not misconduct, you even agree that this is an even more complicated case than mine... yet you dont think its needed to overule the darn precedence ? You like having your hands tied as you do your job gnome? you like the drama that will be created in future cases where both my precedence and nubis precedence (that its gonna be created if this is simply ruled not misconduct) are cited, and the side with the most vitrol opinion will have his way ? --[[User:Hagnat|People's Commissar Hagnat]] [[User talk:Hagnat|talk]] - [[Special:Listusers/sysop|mod]] 02:20, 8 June 2008 (BST)
Just wanted to mention that I enjoy reading most of the things you write, which remarkably enough includes the danger reports you post :p
:I don't think it's appropiate to overrule the last case, unless that's not what you meant. Having this as not misconduct creates the new precedence, no? --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 02:22, 8 June 2008 (BST)
::No, because you are then agreeing with karek that protecting images is not the same as protecting pages, which then means its not the same thing, which means that both my cases and nubis case can be used in the future as precedence to misconduct other sysops. I wont force you to vote my way or another, but my previous case ruling was ridiculous and this case just proves it.  --[[User:Hagnat|People's Commissar Hagnat]] [[User talk:Hagnat|talk]] - [[Special:Listusers/sysop|mod]] 02:31, 8 June 2008 (BST)
:::I will get back to you on that... --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 04:38, 9 June 2008 (BST)
:The two precedences match up perfectly fine Hagnat, you're creating drama now, requesting an impossible task, for whatever reason I do not know, but it seems to me like you're just trying to vent at people you think are responsible for your misconduct archive and are using Nubis' case as an excuse to do it. Your case was barely ruled misconduct anyway, look back over the rulings and the discussion from the sysops involved, the deciding factors were the number of pages, the viability of doing it the proper way, and your past with circumventing procedures.--<small>[[User:Karek#K|Karek]]<font face="Monotype Corsiva">[[User:Karek/ProjDev/OmegaMap|maps?!]]</font></small> 02:29, 8 June 2008 (BST)
::i already explaned my reasons in the misconduct case. My case was barely ruled misconduct, yet grim and others are using this and several other small cases he created as reason to get my demotion. If it's a silly precedence, if its a barely reach ruling, and if people dont want to enforce it on similar cases, then why have it first place ? Overule the case based on its pettynes, and no more sysops will have to fear when they protect pages. --[[User:Hagnat|People's Commissar Hagnat]] [[User talk:Hagnat|talk]] - [[Special:Listusers/sysop|mod]] 02:37, 8 June 2008 (BST)

I would like to complain about a case of harassment. Since I'm not very practical with the use of UD Wiki I may be mistaken in reporting here but I hope you can help me nonetheless.
== Minigame comments ==
I deleted the harassing from my user talk, but who did it, namely user Dhavid Grohl, has filled his own talk with it, too. He goes on calling me a zerger, and what's most disturbing me a rapist. I don't think this wiki is the place for this sort of abuse even if it were true. He is harassing me in the brainstock forums and in game too, and I would like something to be done about him. I'm fed up with being persecuted and repetitively abused and harassed by him.

Thank you for your interest and any help you can provide.
Hey! I'm starting to play your minigame in the hotel. I noticed one thing so far: [[User:A Helpful Little Gnome/mg/Run2|here]] it says "The dead bring snap wooden panels over the windows..." Am I just having trouble parsing the sentence, or are there two verbs there? {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 01:19, 23 June 2013 (BST)

::One more - in [[User:A Helpful Little Gnome/mg/Breather0-ThSaGorGonAnAsMiBi0|this spot]] and its equivalent spots in the other pathways (at least the couple I checked), the sentence "None no specific as a knock" appears, which I think should be "None ''as'' specific as a knock" or something like that? And <font color="white">I assume it's a joke about me wearing glasses</font>... {{User:Bob Moncrief/Sig}} 19:51, 23 June 2013 (BST)
:::I'm not sure about that one. It does sound fine to me. That 'as' is an adverb, and there's such a thing as an adverb 'no'. (In a not-really-the-same-sentence such as this: ''they were no more able to perform the task than I was.'') I don't know. I might go through and rewrite it later. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 01:27, 24 June 2013 (BST)
::::The problem is that it's not being used as an adverb. In your example, "no more" modifies "were". In the one Bob cited, "no specific" modifies "none", which makes no sense. "None so specific" could be used instead, but it'd have a meaning contrary to what you intended. Likewise, "as" would have the same problem. {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 02:14, 24 June 2013 (BST)

You know what? I'm gonna sum everything up in one shot.  The eligible areas are the suburbs in the southwestern corner in a 3x3 square (Nixbank, Wykewood, South Blythville, Foulkes Village, Ruddlebank, Lockettside, [[The Arkham Sisters]], and Spicer Hill).  The rules:
#No sleeping in malls.  Malls are only used for resupplying.
#Most kill wins (whether zombie or survivor).  Time limit is a month.
#No noninvolved characters' help.

===Rules===
Hello again. Is there a way to include the speak and graffiti functions for custom-made in-game Urban Dead templates?
#No sleeping in Malls.  Malls may only be used for resupplying.
#You may not enlist the help of anyone not involved in this Manhunt. (ie: Broadcasting on the radio that one of the contestant is KOS.)
#Most kills win, whether as a zombie or a survivor.  A screenshot must be provided to validate the kill.
#No teaming up with other contestants. (ie: Player1 and Player2 may not "tag team" on Player4)
#This Manhunt will take place in a 3x3 square in the Southwestern corner.  Those suburbs are: Nixbank, Wykewood, <s>South Blythville</s>, Foulkes Village, Ruddlebank, Lockettside, [[The Arkham Sisters]], and Spicer Hill.  If you sleep in another suburb besides the one listed here, your kill count will be deducted by one.  A screenshot of the suburb (everything else may be blacked out, except for your character name) may be taken to prove you're in the Manhunt areas.  If you do provide a screenshot, they must be timestamped.
#No zerging.
----
If you suspect someone is cheating, get a screenshot of the suspicious activity and it will be voted on by the other players to determine if it is considered cheating or not.  Cheaters may have their entire kill count reset back to zero, or be disqualified from the Manhunt.

I think that's all the rules... --{{User:Axe Hack/Sig}} 15:06, 22 June 2008 (BST)
Trying to replicate the current in-game visuals as much as possible, while still adapting them for the new style I have in mind.
:Can we just say cheating is incredibly lame and that anyone who cheats sucks? Setting a penalty for cheating makes it a valid tactic. I mean sleeping in a dif burb makes you virtually impossible to kill and for only 1 kill cost? Sounds reasonable. I think if you get caught out of the area you should be automatically DQed and that everyone should be strongly discouraged from doing so as its pretty fakin lame.--{{User:J3D/ciggy}} 08:32, 23 June 2008 (BST)

:::As someone who is a bit of a hospital rat, I can agree that a mall search rate buff is a bit much... but the general idea of being able to improve buildings in some way (over time) seems fitting now that ruined buildings have a natural decay. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 16:48, 21 July 2008 (BST)
::::Homogenising the two sides is a bad idea, and it doesnt lead to fun. All it results in is that humans can easily undo the work of zombies in one session (Because zombies have to move on to find food, and rarely crowd building devoid of life with 50+ bodies if they werent first eating life there). Humans basically would get free rebuilding over time safish behind EHB cades which gave them a search buff. Whoop. Almost as broken as Jon Pyres suggestion. Attempting to give each side their equivalent benefits doesnt work because the mechanics for either side are fundamentally different. In this case, you would end up with survivors getting free max almost everywhere except in the middle of a holocaust while easily being able to undo zombie efforts anywhere with even a mild amount of metagame and a sacrificial suicide repairer. --[[User:Grim_s|The Grimch]] [[Project UnWelcome|U!]] [[Project Evil|E!]] 16:55, 21 July 2008 (BST)

RE: Dead name/link change
I wanted to make sure you saw my comment on the Admin page. Not only does it seem integrally wrong for a newer group to essentially replace an old one, when for historical purposes none should ever supplant another, but I also thought since its historical its not supposed to be modified?
Imnot against the new group but they should come up with their own idea or accept becoming the sequel/next gen. Shouldnt really be anj issue to change the group name too if all the characters are their own users too right?

Please update Peddelston Village, Chudleytoon, and Owlsleybank to "Ghost town grey". I was in all three today. Have checked actually everyday since Friday and all havent changed. Owlsleybank was wrongly stated being full of zombies when only a small patch are at the NT Woodeborne along the wall. I understand that the "What links here" page for templates may be inaccurate due to something called ''Subst''. What, extactly, is ''Subst'' and how can I tell if a template is effected by it? Thanks! --{{User:Pedentic/Sig}} 03:34, 8 August 2008 (BST)
== You're OK  ==
:Well, I hit the picture on the template and noticed that a copy of the template was there in the "Links" section of the image. I noticed that the code was just copied, instead of the standard <nowiki>{{Template}}</nowiki>. Subst is just an easy way to to call the templates code, useful for protection against people editing the template and altering what you originally wanted the template used for. It's likely they did <nowiki>{{Subst:Revenge}}</nowiki> or copied the code directly. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 04:23, 8 August 2008 (BST)
::I'm not terribly familiar with wikicode, so I'm not quite following your explanation. You said you noticed a copy of the template in the picture's "Links" section and that tipped you off. Shouldn't the template have been listed there anyway because it included that picture? --{{User:Pedentic/Sig}} 04:31, 8 August 2008 (BST)
:::No, the "what links here" only includes links to the page or [http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Urban_Dead inclusion] (calling the template). I hit the image and noticed that it was being used on a page so I took a look. --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 04:35, 8 August 2008 (BST)
::::So the only way to tell if a template is being ''Subst''-ed is to do a bit of digging? --{{User:Pedentic/Sig}} 04:37, 8 August 2008 (BST)
:::::Yeah. Oddly though, images are only seen under "Links" when they are being shown as an image, not like <nowiki>[[:Image:Dancekill.png]]</nowiki>. Check "what links here" on [[:Image:Dancekill.png]] and you'll see that it's actually in use. :O --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 04:40, 8 August 2008 (BST)

== I need your help ==

As you may have guessed I am Izumi and I need to speak with you, as you seem to be the only reasonable sysop left. Before you pass any judgment you should know the history of my case; I was banned unjustly over an accident, and got escalated to perma for using alts to leave sysops messages contesting it. Since I was banned, I have made many alts to circumvent the ban in hopes of being able to simply edit my group page in peace and not bother or be bothered by anyone. All I want is to be able my group page and my personal page. I have not committed a single act of vandalism in nearly a year, outside of circumventing my perma. I have no bad faith intentions I simply want to be left in peace. Unfortunately Grim refuses to let that happen as it is "against the rules" despite the fact I have personally witnessed him bend the rules many times before for people he favors. There is no government to uphold here, I am not trying to trespass on sacred ground; I just want to be able to manage my affairs. Please help me, there must be something you can do to help me end this cycle. [[User:Justice|Justice]] 05:22, 27 August 2008 (BST)
:You have shown a flagrant disregard for the rules and guidelines of this wiki. Furthermore, you promised me, eleven months ago, that you would not consider returning for a year. given the fact that the year ends in over two weeks, and you have been around as illusionist since march, on and off, i think its fairly safe to say that your word isnt worth the breath its uttered on, or the bandwidth you waste to convey it digitally. You had your chance, you knew the rules, and you decided to break them more often than any other user in the history of this wiki. --[[User:Grim_s|The Grimch]] [[Project UnWelcome|U!]] [[Project Evil|E!]] 11:20, 27 August 2008 (BST)
:Why don't you get another member of your group to edit the page, through your forum? Why do you insist on making more alts? --{{User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Sig}} 22:01, 27 August 2008 (BST)
::After a several month hiatus I returned to UD to find most of my group gone; I am in the process of recruiting more members but for the time being it would be nearly impossible to make the updates. It's not as though I am asking for much; Simply allow me access to my group and user pages, that's all. If not at least please stop ruthlessly hunting down my new accounts as if I am some sort of plague; Just pretend I'm someone else. If I've proven anything in the last eleven months its that I'm NOT a vandal and I am most certainly not a threat to this wiki that you guard so fiercely. Quite unlike Grim has so eloquently stated, I do not disregard the rules; I respect them fully. I do not cause any conflict, I do not vandalize pages, I don't so much as troll a user. I have absolutely zero "bad faith", which, according to the wiki guidelines is the sole defining element of vandalism and of vandals themselves, that is to say, they have to WANT to cause problems. I can't make it any more clear than that. This entire situation is ludicrous and I wouldn't need to make "sockpuppets" if I were given a fair chance at redemption. [[User:Restitution|Restitution]] 04:36, 28 August 2008 (BST)
:::Oh, just to prove my point, I went ahead and pulled this from the vandalism policy page. ''"The issue is not punishment - we do not punish vandals. The only aim with warnings and bans is to attempt to stop the vandal from continuing to vandalise the wiki. We are more than willing to let reformed vandals continue to edit this wiki, if their edits are a good faith attempt to improve this wiki."'' [[User:Restitution|Restitution]] 06:45, 28 August 2008 (BST)
:::If you respected the rules at all you would have abided the bans you recieved in the first place and lived with them. As it is, you are the most prolific rule breaker that this wiki has ever seen, beating every single multiple account troll vandal that has ever hit this place. It goes without saying that you are, once again, banned from this wiki. You gave me your word in september 07 to leave this wiki alone for a year, and you broke your word in march this year. So dont come expecting any kind of sympathy, or special pleading, because it isnt going to happen. --[[User:Grim_s|The Grimch]] [[Project UnWelcome|U!]] [[Project Evil|E!]] 13:14, 28 August 2008 (BST)
:::Also, you just dont get it. If we let you back in at all, then we set a bar, at least in the minds of everyone, for how annoying people have to be before they get let back in as well. It only makes problems for us all much worse and would reduce the place to smoking rubble. --[[User:Grim_s|The Grimch]] [[Project UnWelcome|U!]] [[Project Evil|E!]] 13:18, 28 August 2008 (BST)
::::It seems you have forgotten that I was wrongly banned to begin with, which is why I even started making new accounts. I don't see why what I have done in the past makes any damn difference anyway, nothing I have done in any of my alt accounts have constituted vandalism except for simply ''existing''. If I have shown anything it is that I do not conform to said above definition of "vandal" and hence should be immediately unbanned for that alone, otherwise the policy guidelines are giving false information (albeit I know it will not be that simple, as you have a habit of worming such things around to fit your interests). Why don't we give Gnome a chance to reply? In case you haven't noticed, you are NOT the sole sysop of the wiki and by extension you are NOT its dictator; you have no more say in my fate than any other administrator. At the least I feel I should at least receive a permaban vote, something I was denied when I was first perma'd. And as for your claims that "This place will turn to smoking rubble", as I have said many times, ''get a grip man! Its a video game instruction manual for heaven's sake!'' Why can't you vent your obsessive personality somewhere else, like on Xbox or something? [[User:Valiance|Valiance]] 14:09, 28 August 2008 (BST)
:::::Oh and Grim here's something for you, pulled straight off of your user page: ''I take my position seriously and will always do what i feel is both right and within the rules of the wiki.''
Now please see the above rule I already took the liberty of pasting here. If you indeed follow the rules as closely as you say you do-without manipulating them in any way- then you must indeed unban me immediately for lack of bad faith and if not then honor the new rule guaranteeing a permaban vote. If you want to lawyer things up then that's what we'll do. [[User:Valiance|Valiance]] 14:28, 28 August 2008 (BST)

Hello Mr. Gnome. I don't use the wiki other than to play your game (I love it, by the way) and to create a page for my group. The page is called The Meatshielders. My friend Wild Crazy created it first but said he got banned for vandalism, so I created an account to finish it, but you keep banning me and I don't know why. Could you please unban me just long enough to finish my page? After that you can go ahead and ban me (I don't know why, but you seem to have a reason) since I finished your game so I won't be using the wiki anymore. Don't unban my friend, he's a troll.

3D Cinemas

Continuing from our in-game conversation, all you do is check the clothing options in any cinemas you find for 3D glasses and then add the cinema's wiki page to 3D Cinemas. So far I have been keeping track of cinemas with this and this. I was debating on placing the template in the Template space, but since it's not completed I haven't. Feel free to edit it if you want to add cinema locations. --Klexur 04:45, 24 October 2012 (BST)

Okay-dok. Which suburbs do you (and I) want to do? --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 00:24, 25 October 2012 (BST)
These suburbs have no cinemas and therefore need not be checked:
Barrville, Dartside, Darvall Heights, Dunningwood, Eastonwood, Gibsonton, Greentown, Grigg Heights, Judgewood, Ketchelbank, Pegton, Penny Heights, Pescodside, Ridleybank, Williamsville, Wyke Hills
These have already been found to have 3D glasses so we could skip checking them for now:
East Boundwood, Gatcombeton, Lerwill Heights, Pashenton, Quarlesbank, Rhodenbank, Roftwood, Roywood, Ruddlebank, Shuttlebank, West Grayside, Whittenside, Yagoton
That just leaves the rest of Malton, except the northern edge which I walked through once and the cinemas were either ruined or non-3D. I really need to recruit more people to help with this considering how large an area it is to search. --Klexur 15:41, 25 October 2012 (BST)
I could start with the SW corner, and work my way east. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:15, 25 October 2012 (BST)
Thanks, that'd actually be a big help. --Klexur 16:58, 25 October 2012 (BST)

Apparently, ruined buildings prevents any clothing items to be found, so this will be more difficult than I thought, with all the generators, fuel, and ammo I'll need.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:01, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

A question...

--K 23:18, 25 April 2013 (BST)

If I remember correctly, InputBox allows you to have pre-set/pre-loaded (automatically placed) text/code in the edit box when you create a page. (This is to help out newbies; I don't know about already-existing pages.) I also remember you could remove the search field and just have a named button, such as "Safe" or "Ruined". We don't have this extension and we're not getting it. (I asked.) I know Klexur managed to have a template pop-up automatically, but yeah, that doesn't help. I'm pretty sure this requires an extension, so no luck. Sad --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:39, 25 April 2013 (BST)

One more - in this spot and its equivalent spots in the other pathways (at least the couple I checked), the sentence "None no specific as a knock" appears, which I think should be "None as specific as a knock" or something like that? And I assume it's a joke about me wearing glasses... Bob Moncrief EBDW! 19:51, 23 June 2013 (BST)
I'm not sure about that one. It does sound fine to me. That 'as' is an adverb, and there's such a thing as an adverb 'no'. (In a not-really-the-same-sentence such as this: they were no more able to perform the task than I was.) I don't know. I might go through and rewrite it later. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 01:27, 24 June 2013 (BST)
The problem is that it's not being used as an adverb. In your example, "no more" modifies "were". In the one Bob cited, "no specific" modifies "none", which makes no sense. "None so specific" could be used instead, but it'd have a meaning contrary to what you intended. Likewise, "as" would have the same problem. Aichon 02:14, 24 June 2013 (BST)

Speak/Graffiti

Hello again. Is there a way to include the speak and graffiti functions for custom-made in-game Urban Dead templates?

Trying to replicate the current in-game visuals as much as possible, while still adapting them for the new style I have in mind.

If you want to check it out: Linkage. I could use feedback.

Thanks!-- TheBardofOld 18:02, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Functionally, can't have a speak/graffiti action. It'd work out similar to Zork. But it's possible visually:

I like marshmallows.Speak

(Haven't put this together into a template.) Your suburbs are cool. I figured it would be fun to have temporary cities that would cycle through, alongside the Malton gameplay. Sort of like Monroeville and Borehamwood except not just Monroeville and Borehamwood. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:25, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

A modified InputBox could be a way to go, but Kevan isn't up to adding these sorts of things. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:28, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Your policy passed & Changes made

Hi AHLG! I just wanted to congratulate (and thank) you on the A/RE and A/BP changes policy passing. I've gone through and made all the changed I can think of effected by the new policy, but I wanted to let you know I've made a list of changes on the policy talk page, if you'd like to go over them and make sure I haven't missed anything/messed anything up. There are a couple unclear points remaining, on A/BP vote tiebreakers and what to do with Sysop Check. Thanks again! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 17:42, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Spillover from admin pages

RE: Dead name/link change I wanted to make sure you saw my comment on the Admin page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Neutral objector (talkcontribs) 01:59, 13 May 2018.

Banned Account

Hello Mr. Don't unban my friend, he's a troll.

note Sorry for doing this incorrectly the first time, I hope I did it right this time. --User:Hat of Pain 22:42, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

you ain't got no friends fucknuts. And sign your posts. --K 22:39, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
You were banned because there were a dozen or so accounts editing from pretty much the same IP, all coming from the same geographic region and making the same types of edits. It looked like the same person making disruptive edits, such as to the Dead, and making multiple accounts to do so. I'll give you the benefit for now, if another sysops want to add anything. But please don't create any new accounts, don't use proxies, and don't mess around with other groups pages. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:20, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
