Sorry to bother you all. A guy from your group came over to the [[The Crimson Clan|Clan]]'s forums and asked me to come over to your forums to discuss something. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find your forum link (I'm assuming you like to keep it fairly private) so I haven't come over. I replied on our forums to your ambassador's message, desribing my problem, but he hasn't been back to read it. Can I have the link please, or maybe you'd like to arrange something else? We're allies, so I'm not gonna go spreading it around to our enemies or anything silly like that. ;) Thanks. --[[User:Jsrbrunty|Jsrbrunty]] 19:40, 15 April 2010 (BST) |

Your ad has been removed from the Recruitment page because of rules violation, specifically an old timestamp. There is a guide here. Please re-add it if you are still active and recruiting. |
For the record, this rule is about to change (thank goodness,) so me and the other people who do this will have a lot less work to do :).

Yes
No need to fret, Fortress. Although I have gone pk'er, no harm will come to fortress from me. I cannot speak for my fellow browncoaters as they seem to harbor some kind of profound hate for your members, but I know fortress is a good group and, if anything, I might even help you guys out here and there with a FAK or two. I can't do more or risk or the vengeance of my fellow members, but see you on the battelfield :). Keep doing your thing. Ioncannon11 12:59, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- You were an ambassador to one of our allies, right? Was it 82nd Airborn? Anyway, the PKer scene is an entirely different style of gameplay, have fun with it, be original in your kill speeches, and I'll keep an eye out for you on the RG! Who knows, maybe I'll even bounty you one day, if Calogero sees you in the NW. ;-) ~ Prep Fortress - BS 01:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Shore Hills
Guys, really. As much as we appreciate the help, your antics in Shore Hills are really making the natives restless. I don't know if you brought a fan club with you or what, but zed activity is WAY up and people are getting eaten because of it. Have you seen the revive queue? Can't even sleep over the border anymore...
We were fine. Really. Don't you have homes? A mall, somewhere, perhaps? Trenchcoats are on sale! --Thrownaway 02:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- Shore Hills? Shore Hills? Hmmm... (checks current combat squad activities) Oh no! The Battleponies have been stationed there. *gasp* What have they done? lol. I'm sorry to hear that things have worsened in the quiet 'burb of Shore Hills but rest assured that it wasn't because of us, but despite of us. The ponies will go graze elsewhere at some point but that wont help your zombinfestation at all I'm afraid! Stay Vigilant ;) Jensonson 21:59, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Actually Thrownaway, if you read this, I wouldn't mind asking you some questions about what you know of goings on in the Shore Hills area. You seem to be clued up on events in that burb and I'd be keen to discuss some odd events that we've experienced if you have the time. My email is TheVigilantFortress@yahoo.co.uk, if you don't wish to chat here. Jensonson 18:06, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- For a gentleman of your regard, my door is always open. Happy to chat here. That said, at the moment, I'm playing for the other team due to the difficulty in getting revived around here. Fair warning! --Thrownaway 03:18, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- The Fortress has noted some suspicious zerg-like behaviour in Shore Hills since its arrival in early March and has drawn up reams of evidence of suspected zerging. It seems that one individual, or a small group of individuals, are controlling multiple UD zombies in the same area to achieve their own personal objective. Our results, drawn up in March, have corresponded with independent lists that were previously drawn up by two of our survivor allies, prior to our arrival.

- The Fortress cannot stand cheating and we have exposed mass-zergers before in UD, resulting in Kevan taking action against a culprit on one occassion, but always we have at least spread awareness among our extensive Chain of Allies, which includes every major survivor group in Urban Dead. It is important to us that people know when and where people are cheating in Urban Dead on the odd occassion that we experience it. We feel it is important to always try to find a way to talk to the culprit, to ensure they are aware of the rules of UD and that it is nothing more than a game for people to play; that cheating is obviously wrong. (It's strange how many people don't think of multi-account zerging as cheating!)
- Therefore we would be keen to know, with your knowledge of the Shore Hills area in the past six weeks, whether you and your UD character, presumably Thrownaway, has also experienced suspicious behaviour and what you might be able to tell us to assist in our investigation. In particular, suspicious events you may have experienced or a list of ID's of any zeds you may suspect as zergers.
- Thanks in advance for anything you can provide us. Jensonson 20:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- I haven't been doing screenshots or anything, but I think you're absolutely right in suspecting zerg activity in the Shore Hills area, on both the zombie and survivor sides. For the last couple months, ALL of the Necrotech buildings I've gone to in the area have had HUGE mobs of zombies in them (that don't seem to have any apparent group affiliation, so it seems unusual for so many zombies to be so religious about about staying in NTs all the time), and now that I've been Zed for awhile, I've seen more than one occasion where 3-4 zombies all ?rise within minutes of each other when I spend the night in an NT. On top of that, there are tons of level ones around, and the most obvious clue: I've seen a couple zombies named "ZergerXXX" (XXX=number). That's kind of hard to argue with.
- On the survivor side, I've also seen a whole lot (10-20) of level one scouts/firemen with recent creation dates that all share the same "real player" name (and universally stupid character names), but primarily in Havercroft during the mall siege. Haven't been over on that side of the border in a while now, though.
- As a solo player, it's been easy enough just to not overnight in those areas (unless I'm already dead). They way I see it, the best way to deal with them is the same way to deal with any other 13 y/o griefer: ignore them. They'll eventually get bored if and quit if they can't get a rise out of you. Good luck with the hunt, though. Would be interested to know if anything ever comes out of it. --Thrownaway 21:43, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Thrownaway, since we've noticed the activity back in early March, we've been collecting profiles and evidence of their actions. There is a critical amount we need to collect, however, for us to bring the matter before the higher powers. Until that time, we could use all the help we can get in collecting profiles and actions in unison. I'll see if we can get some members to go in there and scan as many as possible. If your character is sleeping in an NT, he might end up on the same list as these cheaters, so you might want to move him out or let us know so we don't get you lumped in there with the others. (as it looks like you might have started playing about the same time as the zerg) Good luck out there! ~ Prep Fortress - BS 22:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

- Aye. All of my alts have seen it, throughout south and central Malton. Oswelybank and Grigg Heights (which are very close to Molebank) had some, as well as some suburbs in the far south (Buttonville was one, I think.) I've got a hunch that it was a zerg that started it, and now he's got copycats. Linkthewindow Talk 22:30, 5 April 2009 (BST)

- You guys certainly did a good job with the sentries, at least. I just swept through the area, and several NTs that had been held by zeds for over a month are now EHB and lit with no signs of the horde. Did Kevan ban them, or did they just relocate? --Thrownaway 21:45, 6 April 2009 (BST)

- He zerged while working with Dawn Patrol/Anti-Zombie Squad, is on the zerge list, and I have a list of the name of some of his newer zerg alts. He has, to my knowledge, around 7 zergs. --Blanemcc 11:30, 17 April 2009 (BST)
- He was on the Zerg Liste for having his characters LT Mesa and AlvaroMesa together in the same building. Both were with different groups at the time and I believe he was new to the game. Naturally, this is no excuse, but he made the effort to go Resens to get off the list, and since then I have seen no evidence of him multi-abusing. If you have any evidence suggesting recent multi-abuse, I suggest you take it to Resens. ~ Prep Fortress - BS14:22, 17 April 2009 (BST)
- I emailed the list of suspected zergs to Anne Tardew. --Blanemcc 14:45, 17 April 2009 (BST)

- Thanks. As a precaution, we're now going to ask DHPD about their side of things. Thank you for your continued patience. --Bob Boberton TF / DW 21:23, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Well I can already tell you what they are gonna say, they think I'm lying and believe I'm a spy. Which considering the incidents I've been involved in they are free to think that. I have a questionable past and made deals with a lot of questionable people, this of course has resulted in a lot of people not trusting me. Truth be told the only thing i want to do is play this game without any of this crap going on around me, and the best thing to do is start on a clean slate. I mean, All i want to do is hunt zeds and help people. But everytime I try to do that something stupet happens and I get the raw end of the deal. But thankfully now I've got better security to prevent such things from happening again. But anyway... feel free to speak to the DHPD... but as I said they are going to call me a lire, a spy and more then likely a drama queen, which truth be told i hate drama. That's why i dropped of the wiki here for so long there was just way to much drama. Well anyway... --Ltpotter 23:57, 12 June 2009 (BST)
- Hello again, I have not received any notice for your group on the status of me requestment to join. I know for a fact that more then likely the DHPD decided to continue with the Zed spy route and no doubt mentioned me as being generally annoying. But let me state again that precautions have been made so that the one responsible for leaked information will not be a problem again (At least on my computer.) As for any general annoyance I have worked really hard to try and prevent spelling errors and such when I type. So all O ask is that you update me on my joining request is going. That's all.--Ltpotter 16:05, 19 June 2009 (BST)
- My apologies for the long wait. The DHPD has provided us with a lot to read and process. I'm afraid that as it stands things aren't looking good ... We're still talking it over, but what you told us cannot really be verified, which makes it difficult for us to discern what happened. We don't want to keep you from enjoying the game, so I think you throw your name out to other groups in case things don't work out. ~ Prep Fortress - BS 19:12, 19 June 2009 (BST)
- Well i can verify what i am saying. I can get someone else in my dorm online to confirm what i am saying is true... or better yet I can even send you a picture of my dorm room if you want. Just state what you need and I will try to provide it.--Ltpotter 02:46, 20 June 2009 (BST)

- Hi there Red Hawk One. The Fortress does have a large influence on UD and we do work to keep the Wiki updated where appropriate but due to secrecy of operations (and because TF can be seen by some as a large target) we are often unable to update the Wiki during live operations. We do, however, encourage all our members to take a strong interest in Urban Dead, and in particular keeping things up to date and lively. Still active in Gulsonside?
The Big Prick needs help clearing some rotters out of the mall. These bad boys have held the mall and the rest of the burb in thrall since May, and something needs to be done about it.
If you're interested, stock up with lots of ammo. Don't worry about finding a safehouse; shoot down to your last AP, and if you should die while dirt napping we will find and revive you. Asheets 23:50, 28 July 2009 (BST)

Hi there.
You are listed on the suburb page as being active in Shackleville (and I'm pretty sure I've seen some of you hange out in the Petting Zoo at one time or another).
I'm currently working on a revised Shackleville Barricade Plan, since the current one isn't adhered to. - Hi there C.C. We thought we'd give it a try and I'm pleased to say that the results have been fantastic on day one alone. - Since the advert was taken out on the 22nd October we have received an impressive 16 applications, 7 of which quoted the advert directly as their route to our group. To put this in perspective, in the first twenty one days of October we made 15 applications, while in the next five days (after the ad was placed) we made 16 further applications. Our pre-advert average was 4.9 a week, while the pro-release advert average was 3.2 apps per day. Nearly a five times increase. And all this is based on just the initial effect only - many more would have seen the ad. and become aware of The Fortress, potentially to contact us in the future (probably during one of our frequent, blabbering recruitment drives).
- These results were based on 15,000 impressions and the ad was up in UD for the majority of two days as a result. If you are looking to expand your group numbers or find some new like-minded, UD-fanatic players (and I can gladly say that the new members seem to be very keen and impressive) then I highly recommend advertising. Zerging speech
It has come to the attention of The Fortress that a radio broadcast was made by persons unknown, apparently declaring the views of The Fortress. I can state that this was not authorised or broadcast by The Fortress powers that be, and therefore this message - whatever its intentions - is not supported by The Fortress.
For the record our group is fully against zerging in Urban Dead. Zerging is the only law of the game and we strongly oppose any that have been found to be committing zerging. This has included exposing mass-zergers on numerous occassions to Kevan, in order to have their IP's banned, and also the instant expulsion of a senior member, once of our own group, for his exposed zerging in other groups (and please note, not The Fortress).
To clarify, we are not tied with any groups, or players, that are known to be zerging against the rules of Urban Dead. If any allied group, or player is found to be zerging then we will immediately put a stop to it. We do not respect zerging behaviour whatsoever. Thank you for allowing me to reiterate our policy. GREAT EASTSIDE RP CLEANUP
Hello Fortress! This is Dimmswick, from the Big Prick, inviting you to join us on the GREAT EASTSIDE RP CLEANUP. Doubtless you're all busy and whatnot, but there's about a month before it starts, so maybe you could send at least a few folks to come help us out. The east is a mess, and we could use all the help we can get. Thanks a lot, hope to see you there!
- Dimmswick 05:48, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hello Dimmswick. Great to see another mega-operation about to get underway - Malton will dearly appreciate it! The Fortress has been running a joint mass operation of its own, which means that our two op's should overlap and run side by side at times - can't think of anything better! We began in the middle and we're down low at the moment but the east will be getting good coverage. With the state of Malton at the start of 2010 we also realized the importance of combining forces to emergency recover suburbs that might otherwise stay lost for good. Look forward to meeting some of you in one of many inevitable cross-overs ;) Jensonson About Me The Fortress Talk BOOM TFN TV Promo Join 18:34, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Blackhawk Nation - Alliance
It seems that we are both active in Shackleville at the present time. It seems like it would be beneficial for both of us to form an alliance and work together. You can check out our wiki page at Blackhawk Nation. We have twenty plus active members and would look forward to joint campaigns with you. --Cheveyo 09:11, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your offer Cheveyo but we are not looking to form an alliance at this time. Jensonson About Me The Fortress Talk BOOM TFN TV Promo Join 22:09, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

No Confirmation E-mail
I have yet to get a confirmation E-mail after i joined your forms. SO i can't post or anything. I've been sitting here a week now waiting. I got the E-mail to the Message board but that's it.--Ltpotter 00:23, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Weren't you kicked out of the DHPD for zerging and revealing confidential information to people outside the group? I believe you were. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 07:40, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- That incident was several months ago. So I decided to tried joining your group so i sent an e-mail to the place i was suppose to. I was accepted into your and now I'm just waiting for the commiseration E-mail... and for the record... AGAIN... I did not actually zerg. I proved I didn't zerg. --Ltpotter 16:20, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think you're mistaking me for someone from The Fortress. This just jumps onto my watchlist for some reason. I'll humour you about the zerging, what about revealing confidential group information? Should I ask the DHPD? -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 16:36, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Not sure what confidential group information was acctuly revealed. I never even learned where they got THEIR info from. --Ltpotter 01:02, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Dearest CORAM Allies
I am writing today to request a lickle favour. As much as we're kinda enjoying it, we're being daily RK'd and GK'd by Mormonpussy.
For sure, some of us have been spamming the EBS which in itself is RK worthy, and I hate to snitch, but we'd appreciate a little help with Mormonpussy's new in-game - game.
If you could be so kind, please report any Mormonpussy sitings on 27.50MHz, or simply rip him to pieces on our behalf. He's a pleasant enough griefer, but we could sure use some back-up. (Or if you hate us, join his Anti-CORAM group!)
Many, many thanks xxxxxxxxx -- ▧ : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 09:38, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there Lady Clitoria. Wow, that's quite a unique fan-club you have there. It's refreshing to see a "griefer" with a sense of humour and an actual care of the game. It's just as refreshing to see your reaction and I wish you all the best in "the game". Hopefully you'll get some vigilant Fortress members broadcasting some clues through your radio receivers - that's if Mormonpussy hasn't destroyed them all of course! Stay Vigilant! Question
Given your repeated stance on zerging, why are you working with yet another group of zergs in Ridleybank? --Papa Johnny 14:09, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- Papa Johnny - If you do have any evidence that we may need to review please could you email it to us: FortressApplicant@live.com
- The only activity we have had in Ridleybank in March was Team Anaconda's recent game of Hide and Seek in and around Ridleybank. This operation involved plenty of RRF assassinations, which may have gained your attention as the zombie victims being shot, but it was not an inter-group game and so we were not working with any zombie or survivor groups. If you wish to send us a list of zergs you have recently encountered then The Fortress will gladly include this in our ongoing investigations against zerging. As the leading survivor group of UD we have a strong influence in being able to expose known zergers. However I recommend you always report any zergers to Resens.
- The Fortress and the RRF have had a very long and friendly history in UD and I'd appreciate not being accused so casually. Jensonson About Me The Fortress Talk BOOM TFN TV Promo Join 23:38, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Forums
Sorry to bother you all. A guy from your group came over to the Clan's forums and asked me to come over to your forums to discuss something. We're allies, so I'm not gonna go spreading it around to our enemies or anything silly like that. ;) Thanks. --Jsrbrunty 19:40, 15 April 2010 (BST)
