Criterion 6. Previous deletion request is UDWiki:Moderation/Deletions#Template:GrimTarget. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 06:12, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- You really should have posted this in the correct section. But since this is almost exactly the same (Just a different picture and a slight change of wording) it does fall under criterion 6. Deleted. --Grim s-Mod 07:01, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- Yeah, my bad. Chalk it up to me not paying much attention at the time. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 07:04, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- This was in no way a deletion work-around. It was a new person creating a new template with the same title. Funny how I have so much trouble getting the ones against me removed, but this is whisked off in under an hour. The fix is in. -- Amazing 07:08, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- Hey, I'm just trying to get rid of all User-targetting templates, as you may have noted. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 07:12, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- Forgive my surprise. -- Amazing 07:30, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- How quickly you forget. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 10:21, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- I was pointing out an older case in which I had no support from you, before I had support because it had to be done to protect more than myself from a growing problem. -- Amazing 21:13, 30 April 2006 (BST)
- How quickly you forget. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 10:21, 30 April 2006 (BST)

Template:Disambiguation
Criterion 10. The correct is Template:Disambig, as that's the one wiki software uses for Special:Disambiguations. --Brizth M T 19:53, 29 April 2006 (BST)
Edit: DO NOT LINKIFY those templates in this request. It will mess up the Special:Disambiguations. --Brizth M T 19:55, 29 April 2006 (BST)

- Delete (Author Vote, Making this Criteria 7 too) I was going to put this up. >< Yeah, I was on a quest to clean up the Wantedpages area, and I couldn't edit all the links for this, so I put the redirect instead. But the Wantedpages area is so gol-darn insane that I'm giving up on it for now. --SirensT RR 18:11, 29 April 2006 (BST)

The Bad Bunny
I forgot the criterion number. It's the one with the whole user page not with a user prefix? Maybe criterion 9? --Lesser Mook 03:08, 27 April 2006 (BST)
- Moderator: Traditionally, one moves all the content to the relevant User page before you list it up for deletion. I have, however, done that myself, and the page is now deleted. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 05:12, 27 April 2006 (BST)

Oh wow
Theres an awful large amount that needs to be deleted under a bunch of criteria, namely Criteria 7. The full list is here. If I had posted them all on this page, it would have taken up tons of room. And yes, I am "LocationBlock" too. --SirensT RR 02:15, 27 April 2006 (BST)

Here. Copyright violation. Not covered by "Fair Use" as it devalues my work. Users agree that they are not violating a copyright when uploading an image. Uploading an image for hosting does not constitute making it Public Domain. This doesn't fit deletion criteria because a Mod should be able to remove this without it since it violates the basic rules of the Wiki. A small handful of users, however, demand this be voted on here, so I am doing what they wish. -- Amazing 01:17, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Keep Not too keen on the concept of "parody", are ya? --Slicer 01:21, 8 April 2006 (BST)

- Keep - As I mentioned, it is provided for under fair use. From US Code 17 USC § 107: "the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright." Court cases Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. and Suntrust v. Houghton Mifflin both interpret this law to provide for the fair use of copyrighted works for parody. --Lucero Capell 01:31, 8 April 2006 (BST)
Moderator: Sorry. Even if it doesn't qualify under satire, it almost certainly qualifies under commentary, and thus fair use. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 01:27, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Please look up Fair Use and you will see it does not apply when it affects the value of the work. -- Amazing 01:28, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Odd Starter said it. Commercial use does not invalidate fair use. --Lucero Capell 01:31, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Lucero's right. The value of the work, in US copyright law, is a mitigating factor in determining whether it's fair use or copyright violation, but devaluation alone does not a violation make. Simple original commerical intent is not, under any circumnstances, a way to overcome fair use. Further, most courts choose to place the primary factor of violation on the nature of the fair use, ie the purpose of the copy/derivation.
- Of course, if you wish to protest this, it is unfortunately beyond the scope of this wiki, and you will most likely have to get real-life lawyers involved. -- Odd Starter talk • Mod • W! 01:39, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Sweet Jesus, the drama in here has gotten so thick that I can see him actually doing that. Odd, I say again: You KNEW this was going to happen. Was it really worth screwing with the whole wiki to watch him get hoisted by his own petard? --Slicer 01:41, 8 April 2006 (BST)
- Well.. I know an Entertainment lawyer who hasn't paid me for a lot of website design, so I could actually bring suit. That said, I'd rather see some sort of moral quality here without litigation. This is nothing more than "working backward" from what's right and moral toward what people would prefer. This has been moved to deletion since it's failed Speedy Deletion with the first misused Keep vote. -- Amazing 02:02, 8 April 2006 (BST)

GANKBUS/old
Useless and will not be updated since the GANKBUS page was moved to GANKBUS when it was decided that I wasn't allowed to have a group page for my group of the same name even though I created the GANKBUS page. You know the story. No need for /old now. Could be a redirect, but no one will go to it since it was in use for less than a day, and searching will bring up the current GANKBUS page. -- Amazing 06:07, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- Comment: Well, it might turn up the current GANKBUS page. 'Cept you deleted it. Plus, blanking the page prior to deletion is considered bad form. --Lucero Capell 06:11, 2 April 2006 (BST)

- Re: The redirect is not needed since GANKBUS/old was never used in any capacity. -- Amazing 06:27, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- Well, I was writing some stuff here, and then I realize how futile it was because this speedy delete request is trashed anyway. Just for future reference though, the proper course of action to take would have been to add a {{delete}} tag to the page, and add it to the Deletions section, leaving the rest of the page alone. --Lucero Capell 06:45, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- Forgive me for being too quick to try and head off a Revert War. And I dunno if you guys necissarily trashed the request. Time will tell. -- Amazing 06:47, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- Blanking a page is not heading off a revert war. Participating in one certainly isn't one either. In regards to this request, it's done for. From the rules: "A Speedy Deletion may be circumvented by a single vote of Keep under the request." Regular Deletion's thataway *points in some odd and suitably ambiguous direction*. --Lucero Capell 06:50, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- Page was blank for a good while before Mia got there. Don't make it sound like that was originally part of any disagreement here. As for your votes, now that you've both been childish enough to block a Speedy Deletion for personal reasons instead of the page's worth, (You're not really going to be able to defend the existence of the page beyond: "Redirects don't hurt anything, even though it's useless, no one will use it, and it takes up space!" I'm sure a Mod is supposed to move it. This is a good, easy to see example of the fact that you will misuse the system based on personal reasons. You're not voting on the worth of the page and weather or not it should be deleted, but rather you are just voting "Keep" to be a pest. 'Nuff Said. -- Amazing 06:53, 2 April 2006 (BST)

- Clarification: Mia's original edit was to restore a page that was removed becuase it existed elsewhere and was removed by its creator a short time after it was first created. Mia's second edit was to create a redirect on a defunct page no one will need to go to in the first place at any point. Further edits by Mia were simply bad-faith meddling on a page removed by the creator because of its undenyable useless nature. -- Amazing 06:40, 2 April 2006 (BST)
