You're leaving too!? For what it's worth, you've always struck me as a level-headed and helpful person. Great sysops and crat back in the day too. Do you have a vague idea where the game is going now? Or are you just winging it?--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 21:46, 7 July 2011 (BST)
- I think for the first time, I actually have a good idea where I am going. I know what the ending is like, right down to the various "levels" of it, and what happens to the 5-member main cast (dono about the secondaries, yet). I still make up some details as I go, though. :) -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:48, 7 July 2011 (BST)
Inputbox
I'm very interested to see what you came up with. Do we need to wait until that chapter of the game to see it? ~ 14:55, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- It's all in the house. I didn't find a way to get an input box type thing, that needs wiki extensions (apart from just typing stuff in on the url field of anyone's browser, but that's sloppy). But I did find something else that works to mostly the same effect. So, soon, I suppose. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:21, 21 July 2011 (BST)
RO2
Just wondering if you're interested in signing up for another Manhunt. This one takes place in October/November in N. Central Malton. Need more combatants to make it interesting. Oh and nice job burning through 2 more chapters of the game. I watch User:A Helpful Little Gnome/Chapters as my cue to pick up the game again and I was pleasantly surprised to see two new ones added so closely together. ~ 18:33, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- I believe I will! Though I'll be more busy around that time. Thanks, and I did indeed pop out that last chapter quickly. Chapter 11 will probably go by fast as well! 12 will be longer... 13 will have surprises, I think. Will surprise me, too. Then there's fourteen, not sure where that will be yet. Stuff. And 15... 16... -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 18:50, 16 August 2011 (BST)
- Don't worry, Gnome. I'm far into the future right now (I'm in year 2057) and I can tell you what's happening. In 2057, you're working on Chapter 17923. Now that I revealed your future to you, I'm afraid the time police will be on my tail shortly for messing with the space-time continuum. xP --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:20, 16 August 2011 (BST)
- So, you are saying that your going to the future, seeing me, and then therefore coming back and telling me what I will be doing at year 2057 (whichever chapter I am on)... and this implies that I would already have been working at that year and chapter, but it could also imply that you caused me, by seeing the future, and telling me into the past about it, that it influenced my decision to be working on Chapter 17923 at the year 2057? Whatever problem, this is easily solved by there being parallel universes, and by you time travelling you inadvertently (or as a necessary coincidence) caused you to go into a parallel universe almost like this on. So that, upon coming back to this universe, it would cause no issue, because this is a different universe parallel to the one you traveled to? But what if you went back to yet another parallel universe, and this (the initial universe) isn't the universe you first started from? -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:30, 16 August 2011 (BST)
- I'm sorry to say, but this isn't your universe, Axe Hack! I have foiled you once again... -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:30, 16 August 2011 (BST)
- So, you're saying I went back to a universe in which everyone was apparently worshipping you, and you claim it wasn't the right universe? Man, I need to fix that time traveling machine. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:42, 16 August 2011 (BST)

I found me! :D
Eeep! :D
Though...*cough*... I sort of located me out of order. I saw myself pop suddenly into existence when the Stranger goes to investigate the gunshots, after getting crushed by the monster-thing. So I went back, and I still missed the entrance to the clothing store THREE FRIKKIN' TIMES, even though I knew that I HAD TO BE SOMEWHERE IN THE MALL, DAMMIT. Gaaaaah. Serves me right for skim-reading some of your hilarious descriptions of things, in my haste to get on with the plot. ;) (My current favorite line: "Or else someone really likes bright and shiny barricades, so they cleaned it.")
Also...I can't be the only person who tries to kill themselves in every possible way before moving on to the next section...right? --Jen 23:46, 3 September 2011 (BST)
- :P Yay! I think you only got it once, and Tammy blew a grenade up in your face... Ross and Doug both got it once, maybe twice. I think the most competent person so far is Izzy, actually! And then, there's the protagonist. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 00:57, 4 September 2011 (BST)
...
I just had a crazy idea. We can each cameo the other's protagonist in our game thing. Assuming if I ever get around to continue making mine. Or we can have some crazy cross-over session. xP --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 04:45, 22 September 2011 (BST)
- Hrm. Well, I know we'll see Axel again at a some point, and, on a totally unrelated note, I know what's going to happen to Yon. Some form of cross-over or something-like, a reference, can work at the very very end. Or close to the end. Unless you meant something else? -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:53, 22 September 2011 (BST)
- Hm...Crazy idea 2: You use one of my maps featuring the protagonist (or rather, since my protagonist was technically a supporting character in the Kingdom Hearts series, use one of the supporting characters) from my game, and I'll use one of your maps featuring the protagonist from your game, and we'll call it some crazy cross-over project. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:04, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- And by "featuring", I mean a cameo appearance. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:07, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- That would work quite well, actually. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 00:10, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- Well, actually, since the supporting cast in my game is mainly other people's UD alts, such as Sophie, Kempy, Zipo, Ross, Yon, etc., may as well cameo that protagonist. Hm...Perhaps we should be planning this one in secret. Or something. Or some crazy cross-over like that Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton one. Actually, it would be an interesting concept if we work out some cross-over session that allows the players to pick which protagonist they wish to use in the cross-over segment. Or something like those games with two protagonists in different areas, and when one does something, the game jumps to the next protagonist and reveals a bit of their story, and then it jumps back to the first one and so forth, with the protagonists meeting somewhere along the way. Or something like that. Maybe I should stop talking now. I've said too much. xP --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 01:22, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- I'm thinking about it a bit more. My protagonist is technically a scientist. To avoid conflicts with the same supporting casts' memories, which we happen to share quite a few of, how about...We use Marvel Comic's idea of multi-verses? My protagonist creates a device that he was hoping would "digitize" zombies (a nice reference to Kingdom Hearts there, where he tried to "digitize Kingdom Hearts" xD ), but accidentally triggers a universe jump of sorts and winds up in whatever universe your game happens to take place in? Just an idea. Man, I really need to stop talking and leaking top secret ideas to the public. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 01:48, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- I know a place where it would really make sense, and that's right at the end. You're sort-of coming close to something that has somewhat-something to do with the ending, by the way. Somewhat. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 01:58, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- I think I'll pencil in the cross-over session for a future Ansem Report from Malton, which, if you recall, is what I'm writing as a bit of a side thing for the hell of it, and is also the story of my game. Just let me know when you want to start the cross-over session and I'll write up a few possible reports to use, and I'll use the one you think works. Help Please!
Hi there! I recently joined a group called the Lockettside Valkyries however it's been a real pain in the behind trying to update relevant information to the group page. It's locked and when I asked an administrator about it he told me that it had been "protected" due to vandalism, which I assume is someone messing with the page itself. The group has also been erroneously listed as inactive. I don't really want to have to deal with putting requests in for page changes every time there is new information to be posted so I was wondering if any alternative exists, or whether it could be deleted and the page remade? Thank you in advance for any input in this matter. I'm rather new to the wiki format so if I accidentally f*ck something up please don't take it as me trying to cause trouble.
Best regards, Sage of Winds 02:11, 23 September 2011 (BST)
- Gnome isn't a SysOps as of current...And what Vapor said was right. Just place a request through Administration/Protection. We'll unprotect the page and you can edit it to your whim. But no vandalism, please! --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 02:17, 23 September 2011 (BST)

All these silly games
Let's face it. My original idea of a Kingdom Hearts/Urban Dead crossover was HORRIBLE. But Gnome, I will dethrone your game one way or another. There's always a first step to everything...Prepare to have some legitimate competition, my Gnomey nemesis. Because you're not gonna be the user with the most subpages anymore. >:) --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 03:24, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Sure, okay. Good luck with that. (Have fun with the permutations.) When you go to create from the UDGame (or UDGame2) template, you should leave out or at least move the Custom Title to the top, so you can utilize the header parameter. I think it looks prettier. (And I totally regret using a template outside the UD template realm, since I can't alter it, and I'm stuck with it until the second half of chapter 13.) -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 04:04, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- I wasn't really thinking of using the Custom Title template when I actually got to the "game" part. I was going to use raw code for that. I have an idea, and it seems easier to use raw coding for it rather than Custom Title, but I've currently no idea if it'll work. Guess we'll find out when I get to it. Honestly, I'm partially regretting the fact that I'm having this "character select" thing. Looking at my draft version, I seem to have a total of 15 possible starters. That's a total of 15 different character storylines to plan out (although I'll probably get lazy and recycle quite a good number of parts, changing only the character's names and answers...) <_< --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 04:20, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Er...30. Make it 30 since I just remember I gave the option to start as a male or female...So 15 possibilities each. 30 starters total. >_> --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 04:24, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- ...30 starters, plus additional X numbers of replacement characters...for a total of 30 + X amount of characters...That...Is a lot of characters to write storylines for...I just screwed myself, didn't I? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 04:29, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- (after edit conflict) Probably! -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 04:34, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- (before edit conflict) It means that if the base game has, say, 100 possible actions, then you'll have 30 permutations of each 100 actions, so 3000 pages (excluding subtractions from removed options). I was thinking a while back about doing a minigame (maybe if or after I finish this one, and if UD is still around) where it's really short but there's many possible routes/permutations, and only one is right. Defending a safehouse, or attacking one, for example... which spot to barricade, which weapon to choose, who to use, which way to break in, etc. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 04:34, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- I opted for a male/female option mainly to make the players feel as if they had more choices. I also plan on giving these characters their own unique starting inventory and skill sets (ie: One of the female starters is a college student that begins with a backpack which enables her to carry more items than the other starters, while one of the male starters is a mechanic who will begin with a toolbox and the unique skill of crafting homemade weapons and repairing broken weapons). The starting locations will also all be different, though there may be a few crossover segments between characters. Replacement characters, as stated, will be able to retrieve the exact same inventory from the fallen characters the player plays previously, but to loot them, the player will first need to kill said character, who at that point, has become a zombie (though some items will become useless without the unique skills other characters will have). --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 04:54, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Though after the starters, genders of replacement characters will be assigned at random (or in other words, whatever the hell I force them to play as). --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:03, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Yup, exactly, that'll be fun. The permutations can go nuts. With only minor ones in the Apartment (naked, knife, clothing, knife+clothing) and Hopsital (journal or no journal) chapters of my game, it was already tiring. Just adding another variable can explode the options (adding knife to the apartment instead of just clothing gets you knife+clothing and knife... near copies for every page twice... adding, say, binoculars makes naked, clothing, knife, binoculars, clothing+knife, clothing+binoculars, knife+binoculars, clothing+knife+binoculars... yeah). Depends which variable/option connects with another variable/option, so you can cut down on the permutations a little there. And killing off your character helps a lot. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 05:04, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Ya, that's why instead of the tradition "You're dead, just click back" thing, I decided to adopt ZombiU's "respawn as a new character" method (ZombiU, by the way, may as well be the only good game that comes out for the WiiU). Variables are also one of the many things that I agree with you, they'll become very very energy draining after a while. But I've already predicted that I'll become very lazy and recycle a lot of segments, so I guess that solves that part. Sort of. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:11, 28 August 2012 (BST)
- Just remember if there's any difference in the segments, it needs permutations. Even if they're identical up to a certain point where they split. On the good side of things, players might actually feel they're "playing" the "game", or that they're actually doing something, rather than just following the story. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 05:22, 28 August 2012 (BST)

3D Cinemas
Continuing from our in-game conversation, all you do is check the clothing options in any cinemas you find for 3D glasses and then add the cinema's wiki page to 3D Cinemas. So far I have been keeping track of cinemas with this and this. I was debating on placing the template in the Template space, but since it's not completed I haven't. Feel free to edit it if you want to add cinema locations. --Klexur 04:45, 24 October 2012 (BST)
- Okay-dok. Which suburbs do you (and I) want to do? -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 00:24, 25 October 2012 (BST)
- These suburbs have no cinemas and therefore need not be checked: Barrville, Dartside, Darvall Heights, Dunningwood, Eastonwood, Gibsonton, Greentown, Grigg Heights, Judgewood, Ketchelbank, Pegton, Penny Heights, Pescodside, Ridleybank, Williamsville, Wyke Hills
- These have already been found to have 3D glasses so we could skip checking them for now: East Boundwood, Gatcombeton, Lerwill Heights, Pashenton, Quarlesbank, Rhodenbank, Roftwood, Roywood, Ruddlebank, Shuttlebank, West Grayside, Whittenside, Yagoton
- That just leaves the rest of Malton, except the northern edge which I walked through once and the cinemas were either ruined or non-3D. I really need to recruit more people to help with this considering how large an area it is to search. --Klexur 15:41, 25 October 2012 (BST)
- These suburbs have no cinemas and therefore need not be checked:
Apparently, ruined buildings prevents any clothing items to be found, so this will be more difficult than I thought, with all the generators, fuel, and ammo I'll need.-- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:01, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I found that out the hard way when I started. I didn't think to mention things like that. Sorry. =S --Klexur 02:32, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I feel bad that you've been making so many updates and I haven't. It's hard finding a revive in some of these deserted suburbs. I don't know how you manage it. --Klexur 04:57, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have a very (im)polite revive me note on my zombie profile. That must be it. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 05:02, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
I checked cinemas in Brooksville and most of the South Blythville (only Bennet Cinema isn't checked. I was going through recent changes, with aid of pure boredom it felt like good idea. If you don't belive me you can go and double check it - all cinemas in area are caded. --Labla 16:45, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks! Just checked Bennet. Nothing three dimensional happening. Everything is 2D. The lack of height is uncomfortable on my stature. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 23:58, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
