20080606 Building descrption when out of AP

Suggestion description
Currently when a person's AP runs out, they only get a message saying something to the effect "You are exhausted and can't move anymore." It is frustrating when you are searching for a safe place to rest, and can't find a place, and run out of AP. You have to wait a half hour in order to find out if the building is safe for you to go into or not. I suggest that the building's description is displayed at all times, disregarding whether or not you have AP.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Was just thinking the same a few minutes ago. Ioncannon11 04:59, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep - To hell with all the kills, I like!--Jamie Cantwel3 TalkAll glory to the Hypnotoad! 14:37, 6 June 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Needs work, but I understand what your getting at. It could be argued that you should already know the state of the building considering you just clicked on that area. For In Character argument, it could be assumed that since your exhausted after you use up your action points (energy), checking a building can be 'exhaustive'. In other words, I must vote kill. -- THELORDGUNSLINGER 03:40, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - If it's not broke, don't fix it. If you want to see what the building you end up in looks like, save an extra AP. Otherwise, it's your own fault. Sheana T / TMZ 04:31, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  3. Learn how to spend your AP. Did you try tearing down a barricade to get in? Who wanders looking for an easy entrance till they run out of AP anyway? If your in Square Y with 1 AP and you can't get in, your telling me your going to move into Square X anyway?--Pesatyel 04:38, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  4. kill - Dont mess with what is really a server load reduction feature. Not only does the current thing discourage constant refreshing, but it also minimises the data on such page reloads. If ap = 0 load blank. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 04:41, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  5. Kill - As Sheana --The Malton Globetrotters#19 - DrPain TMG 06:44, 6 June 2008 (BST)
Kill - You can't do anything at that state anyway, therefore there's no use in knowing the state of the building you're in. --Aeon17x 06:55, 6 June 2008 (BST)Vote changed to Dupe. --Aeon17x 15:54, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill - As BlackReaper. --Sir Bob Fortune RR 06:56, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - As DrPain and Grim. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 11:02, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  8. Kill - There is nothing more satisfying than a less-then-ten stumbling into your safehouse so you ca take your sweet 30 minutes to kill them slowly. --Vandurn 13:33, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  9. Kill - So you occasionally have to stagger into a building blind because you got carried away on a shooting spree and ran out of AP? So do I, and it's part of the fun. --Explodey 15:36, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  10. Kill - as explodey.--xoxo 15:39, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - When you're out of ap, you character is sleeping. Who can look around buildings in their sleep? --Officer Dick Trickle 15:59, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill Sorry but i like the fact you're cold, exhausted and desperate for ANY shelter from the horde. Your need is for shelter, not shelter, that is well lit, full of friendlies and not a zed in sight. If you knew there were 300 zeds inside, you'd wait 30 minutes, log in and escape. By not knowing, you log on in 30 minutes, find out and escape. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:47, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - This is an AP management survival issue; get better at the game and avoid stepping into unknown buildings with your last AP. --Riseabove 20:58, 6 June 2008 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  2. Dupe as Funt Solo. --  14:36, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  3. Dupe - As Funt. Funny how the times change, that one's in peer-reviewed while this one's getting slaughtered. --Aeon17x 15:54, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  4. Dupe but I wanted to vote Keep - does that count? - I really would have voted keep on it because it plain makes a lot of sense. You should be able to see the description before you fall asleep/go brain-numb. But unfortuantely Funt has excellent dupe-finding skillz. Sorry --Tselita 16:54, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  5. Doop doop doop -- Druuuuu OcTRR 18:00, 6 June 2008 (BST)
  6. Dupe - But if this suggestion were not a dupe then this would be a Spam vote. --The Hierophant 20:35, 6 June 2008 (BST)
