Revision as of 22:46, 25 November 2012

This page is for suggestions of new clothes to be implemented into the game.

These suggestions should be limited to clothes which would have no specific game effect; if you want to suggest a clothing type which would give the wearer an automatic bonus or penalty, it should instead be submitted as a standard suggestion. (Relatedly, if players of the game could reasonably expect your suggested item to have some significant game effect, when they put it on - such as an ammo belt or a parachute - it shouldn't be proposed as a zero-effect piece of decorative clothing.)

How to Suggest

  • New suggestions go at the bottom of the list.

Suggestions should use this setup:

==Name suggestion==
Description of the item, preferably including slot used, colour
and the location were it would be found. --~~~~
===Yes (Name suggestion)===
Votes for go here
===No (Name suggestion)===
Votes against go here
  • To vote simply sign your name with a timestamp (4 tildes --> ~~~~)at the appropriate place. Only one vote per person.
  • Suggestions being cycled for space constraints should be sorted according to the slot they use. Cycling should be used to keep the page below 15 suggestions at a time.
  • Kevan is the final arbiter and he decides whether he implements a suggestion based on his own judgement (and hopefully popular support)
  • Do not forget to check if clothing already exists, and check the archives in case it has been suggested already
  • To add a new suggestion, please copy the above code, click here, paste the code, and edit as required.

All Clothes Suggestions are open for voting permanently. Check archives for other cool clothing suggestions and vote there too!

Ghillie Suits

For those of you who don't know, Ghillie Suits are those military fatigues primarily used by snipers. They essentially are a green coat or suit which is covered from head to toe with fake twigs, leaves etc. and it's meant to break up the outline of the sniper. Of course, there's a hole at the head for seeing and your hands can stick out. It would be found in Fort Storehouses and Barracks, would come in the single variety of "a Ghillie Suit". Here's a link to a description, if you like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghillie_suit --Enigma179 10:57, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

  1. 2 reasons: 1) There is enough trenchcoater clothing already, 2) This suggestion is improperly formatted; I had to add the "No" section.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  18:34, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Jean Skirt

An additional clothing option for the girl players (...and guys that dress like girls).

Jean (denim) skirts would go in the trousers slot where the other skirts are listed, and have the same color options as the jean pants: pale blue, blue, dark blue, black, and grey. They'd be found in shopping malls, and would be a starting possibility for zombies.

Just like the other fabric clothing in UD, jean skirts would be affected by damage, e.g., Wearing: a ripped black jean skirt. --Fiffy 404 OBR RRF 03:15, 9 August 2010 (BST)

No (Jean Skirt)

  1. No. Enough skirts are already present in-game.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  18:34, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Luchador Mask

Mexican Luchador/wrestler style masks which would fit into the face slot, and would be fun for extra face options as well as offbeat/less serious Rp'ing. The basic color templates used for the basic pant/shirt items would be used. Malls seem to the be most reasonable choice for a place to find these items. Damage effects would be reflected as cloth items, ripped, etc.

Add white aprons to hotels

There are already white aprons in malls and in Kersley Mansion. Where they aren't are in hotels, where they absolutely should be found. How else should the chefs and the room maids get ready for work? -- Spiderzed 15:59, 15 October 2010 (BST)

Yes (Name suggestion)

  1. I'm a self-serving bastard who's tired of having to go to a mall for something that basic. -- Spiderzed 15:59, 15 October 2010 (BST)
  2. Makes sense. Not having aprons in hotels is kinda like not having nurses caps in hospitals (or something equally daft). ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 16:20, 15 October 2010 (BST)

Cardigans

Just a simple cardigan. Goes to the coat slot, comes in all colours and could be found in hotels, malls, maybe towers too. Would be available as an item for Zombies to start with, if zombie class is chosen. Timaman 01:52, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Glasses

slot face. Glasses should be found in more places than just Malls. They should be found in other places like Towers, Hotels and Motels. You can change all of your dirty clothes in many buildings, but to change your dirty glasses, currently, you have to go to a mall. Glasses could have been left in Towers, Hotels and Motels by anybody in a hurry.-- Taecsmall.jpg DirtManT|FU|StäV 06:11, 22 August 2011 (BST)

Yes

  1. I vote Yes as I'm the Author. -- Taecsmall.jpg DirtManT|FU|StäV 06:13, 22 August 2011 (BST)
  2. Makes sense. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 10:32, 22 August 2011 (BST)
  3. Glasses are not so uncommon an item that they should only be found in one type of building, a building which is uncommon in certain parts of the city. ~Vsig.png 14:38, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
  4. This makes complete sense. However, in my opinion, the precise buildings they should be found in are Hotels, Mansions and Libraries! Besides, monocles are already available in Mansions, so this is already making use of "the current system in place". I mean, sure, a common place to buy glasses in real life would be a Mall. But this is an apocalypse game. It's already assumed that the items you find are left behind by other people. Punchbattle 06:31, 25 April 2012 (BST)

No

  1. No. Current system in place is fine.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  18:34, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
