Capes (voting ends 12th June)

Able to be found in malls and it might be possible to find them in theaters. Capes would go into the neck slot and can be a variety of colors. Why, because capes are cool and now people can pretend to be a superhero.--Leonidas 15:56, 5 June 2007 (BST) EDIT: Capes can only be found in specific mansions.

Badges

I suggest implementing badges i.e. police badges and Firefighter Badges.

Badges either on thin neckchains or stated as just "Is wearing a XX badge". To be worn in neckslot.

Varieties:

The Obvious ones:

Police Badge - Found in Police Stations

Firemans Badge - Found in Firestations

Other badges than the obvious ones:

NT badge(Might be ooc, since NT seems to want to be kept a secret, but what the hey.)- Found in NT buildings.

Zookeepers Badge - Found in Zoo's

Museum Staff Badge - Found in museums.

Forensics Badge - Found ?

Medic Badge (think ambulance personell) - Found in Hospitals

Uses:

RP only.

Thoughts:

-Might want to call some of the above "patch" or "emblem" instead of badge (like NT and Zookeeper)

-Maybe even adding rank on some of the badges. (i.e. A police inspector badge and so on)

- As per idéa from Seventythree, this might be best as an donator only item. (It might give Kevan the money to get the servers needed for the new serge of newcomers. ;) )

This is my first own addition to the suggestions, so please mind if the code isn't where it's supposed to.

I don't think it's a dupe, I searched for badges and didn't find any suggestions in the "Clothing" part of the wiki.

Think it over.

  9. I like the RP aspect. It doesn't seem necessary to have quite so quite so many kinds, but it would be great to have police and mall security (rent-a-cop) badges. I don't know if firefighters wear badges, and I definitely don't think the rest are remotely necessary. -- William Told 12:24, 9 May 2008 (EST)

No(Badges)

  1. A reluctant no. Only because, although it's a nice idea, it seems like a bit of information overkill. We already have Fire-fighter's/Police officer's helmet/cap, jacket, trousers, do we really need another item with a prefix? I do like the rank idea, but believe that's something best left to the descriptions box instead as individual factions sometimes give ranks out, rather than letting anybody run around with a Captain badge with no legitimacy. --Ulysses Black 04:13, 19 June 2007 (BST)
RE:-Not all Fire-fighters/Policeofficers wear uniform, at least not higher up in the ranks and especially not during a citywide zombie infestation. This is where the badges would be best implemented. On another note I think the factions would be able to convince their members not to wear a different ranking badge than expected of them. Thank you for your feedback! --Dex Frivolous 05:57, 19 June 2007 (BST)
  2. This would be information overkill. Have you thought about giving badges as donator only items of clothing? --Seventythree 07:47, 19 June 2007 (BST)

Swanky Scarves and Ties

Silk scarves / ties. Found at only one mall. Specialist shop maybe. All colours, but with the prefix 'silk'. Sounds cool, hip and expensive, right? Yes, something like this has been suggested before, but I'm trying to iron out some of the problems people had with it. New Kinds of Necklaces

I met someone in game that was fanatical about getting more kinds of necklaces into Mansions and I'm here to please.I think that there should be sapphire necklaces in Pitman Mansion and ruby ones to be found in Kersley Mansion. And as per a good suggestion from a Mister Seventythree who voted yes on my suggetion, yeah why shouldn't goths get stuff too?I think in Hotels/Motels,Buildings,Towers,and Malls you should find those necklaces he menstioned as well.

It's too bad there can't also be an action connected with this object like "Commit Suicide by Hanging" available only to people wearing this object (but that may be going a bit far). Love this clothing idea though. Kai Tan Sying Malton Rangers 06:20, 17 October 2007 (BST)
  10. Yes - Morbid? Out of place? Silly? What is morbid is the bare fact that these are actually used in the real world, both inflicted on self and others. A zombie apocalypse game is one of the most morbid, wrong things one can play (which is great). What place is better suited for wearing a noose than a zombie apocalypse? It's as silly as a toe tag, or any number of other clothing items - which is to say, not very. It fits the genre. There is already a neck slot. It should be included. I love the locations suggested. I would also add it to cemeteries, banks, mansions, factories, police departments and hotels. Clay5x 08:06, 27 October 2007 (BST)

Towels could be found in towers for the most part, or else malls. As with the hitchhiker's guide, if one can find a towel and remember where it was in the middle of a zombie appocalypse, they sure as hell know what they're doing. Keep it around your neck as a makeshift scarf or balaclava, turban, or even just on the shoulders (yes I'm not sure where else to put it.) They would come in brown, pale blue, pink and white. Cravat

Start quote rb.gif The cravat is a neckband, the forerunner of the modern, tailored necktie. From the end of the 16th century, the term "band" applied to any long-strip neckcloth that was not a "ruff"; the ruff — a starched, pleated white linen strip — started its fashion career earlier in the 16th century as a neckcloth (readily changeable, to minimize the soiling of a doublet), or as a bib, or as a napkin. A "band" could indicate either a plain, attached shirt collar or a detachable "falling band" that draped over the doublet collar.  End quote rb.gif

This could also include variations like the ascot. Feel free to comment similar things that could be added on to this. It would be for the neck slot, found in few museums (or just 1 would be ok), possibly a mansion or 2 as well. White only, but let me know if there were actually other colors. Not up to speed on cravat colors.

And before anyone howls dupe, I checked and this was the only reference I could find for such an item, so it doesn't seem that it was ever formally suggested. --Slightly Lions 14:56, 8 October 2007 (BST)

Headphones and Ear Buds

There are currently no clothes to be found in clubs. And now-a-days, you see people walking around with iPods and MP3 players and whatnot. And you sometimes see their ear buds or headphones hanging around their necks. That's what this suggestion is. 2 new pieces of clothing for the neck slot, but only found in clubs and malls. The Ear Buds are like those iPod ear buds. They'll come in white, black, green, pink, and some other colors. The Headphones are slightly bigger then Ear Buds, but who cares? Size doesn't matter here. They will come in blue and black, and maybe some other colors. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 17:05, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
