Rhodenbank is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast section of the city.

Formerly a focal point of the Rolt Heights-centered northeast industrial corridor of Malton, the factories were great business for a growing healthcare industry before the outbreak. When strikes were called to demand safer conditions, several of the businesses decided to skip town and half of Rhodenbank's factories were laid to waste. The hospitals saw increased revenue however when a collection of nightclubs moved into the area, bringing with them young urban professionals who often couldn't hold their liquor. Many costly accidents were the result. Of course, not all of the injuries suffered by these club goers were real "accidents". Police were often spotted around the nightclubs investigating rumored links between the nightclubs and organized crime associated with the Russian Mafia. Nothing was ever conclusively proven, but the investigation was halted by the zombie epidemic. The most noted building connected to this incident is Mallard Towers, which also happens to be the tallest office building in Rhodenbank.

Rhodenbank is also the home of what is considered by many to be the best pub in Malton, the Ablett Arms. Unlike pre-outbreak, the pub is now open around the clock as survivors find comfort in a nice beer.

AquaMonument.jpg
Rhodenbank - Home of the brave and the rowdy!

While not as contested as other Malton suburbs Rhodenbank has seen its fair share of conflicts after the city was quarantined. The suburb's first recognized survivor groups were the Rhodenbank Rowdies and the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps. On a more tragic note were the survivors associated with the Rhodenbank Warriors, who once worked to protect the suburb, but eventually turned on their former allies and became the suburb's first known zombie group. Later other zombie groups would cut paths of destruction through the suburb, such as the Drunken Dead and the Pwotters, but they never stayed for long. Even more uncommon are the larger zombie hordes, like the Ridleybank Resistance Front or the Big Bash, who have hit the suburb like a hurricane, caused wide-spread destruction and death, only to leave just as quickly as they appeared.

Revive Points

Rhodenbank sports several revive points, including Orome Avenue [88,4] and The Upshall Monument [82,6], both of which are regularly checked by passing Necrotechnicians. A cemetery [88,1] also serves as a revive point under the Sacred Ground Policy and is sponsored exclusively by and operated by the Souless Survivors.

In addition, The Devonshire Building [83,5] serves as a makeshift Rot Revive point; any zombie that breaks in will most likely be revived.

November 2009

November 20th

This report is mainly for the benefit of western Rhodenbank survivors who are looking for medpacks, gen and fuel.

St. Helier's Hospital have fallen to the zombies last night. Direct free-run to St. Adrian's Hospital is closed, survivors are advised to used the Thorp Tower/Wortley NT route for entry into Earletown.

Survivors looking for gens and fuel supplies are advised that Factory 76,4, Factory 74,2 and Lynewarye Auto Repair in Earletown is secured (relatively) and powered (some low on juice).

Survivors looking for medpacks are advised St. Adrian's Hospital is EHB++ and powered (although low on fuel) and further away Clare Gen Hospital is powered although under attack.

Survivors are also advised that Pullinger Auto Shop in Earletown is a ruined deathtrap with 8 zombies inside the building. It appears they would rather hang around inside a ruined building rather than attack a lit hospital one block away (O-o). If you want fuel ... head to the factories or auto shop indicated above.

I will be in Earletown for a few more days picking up as many fuel cans and gens as I can before returning to Rhodenbank. --OO Willie 05:17, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

November 18th

MOB Locator indicates Rolt Heights is hit hard in the past 24 hrs. Expect heavy migration of survivors up north to Rhodenbank. The two powered factories in Rolt Heights [81-83,11] are presumed to have fallen to the zombies already so generators will be tougher to come by now. Pullinger Auto Repair in Earletown is still ruined so fuel will be tough to come by too.
As of last night, St. Helier's Hospital is powered up representing the first building in western Rhodenbank to be lit up. Closely followed by St. Adrian's Hospital just across the border in Earletown (use the Coomer Building free-run conduit to get there). Hopefully these two lit hospitals will be enough to deal with the wounded survivors coming up from Rolt Heights. That's all for today and keep those barricades up. --OO Willie 13:55, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

November 17th

Siutation is looking a lot better. To the best of my knowledge:

Meetcham Firestation is repaired but unlit
Hindmarsh PD is repaired, barricades @ HB++, unlit with one high level zombie inside.
Bizzell Building is EHB+, generator and radio present but no fuel. It's been safe from attack for the past 36hrs. Survivors may want to take advantage of this and use it as a staging/rest area for retaking the western part of town.
St. Alban's Hospital been a hotspot for the past day with couple of break-ins but the 5-6 survivors inside are holding strong and fully healed now. Shout out to those brave survivors meat-shielding to hold the building and the passers-by who healed them up and re-barricade. Building @ VSB++ now but no gen.
St. Helier's hospital is holding @ VSB++ with no power with 6 wounded survivors but no zombies inside indicating a recent attack/counter-attack. Will stick around to heal them before heading west to restock on medpacks.
Wortley NT Building bordering Rhodenbank is repaired and powered. Barricade status unknown. Survivors are warned that this building will attract zombie attention like a hungry ferret going after a pipe full of meat. Do exercise caution.
Uglow Building, Club Hagan and Coomer Building are repaired but unlit. Barricade status unknown at this time.

MOB Locator and Pescodside reports that the town is already trashed, the zombie should be getting ready to move on to the next town. Rolt Heights, Gibsonton and Dunningwood are possible targets.
Till next time. --OO Willie 06:55, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

November 16th

oO Willie here, survivors need help at Southwestern Rhodenbank. They are starting to take back that sector but zombie activity remains high and survivors hold on this sector is tenuous at best.
We are infiltrating up from northwestern Rolt Heights where there are 2 powered up factories and two free-running lanes via Broke/Merchant bank (VHB++) and Phillips Grove Railroad station (VSB++). Those buildings in Rolt Heights are reasonably safe but needs survivors to keep watch as feral zombies are congregating around the Merchant bank.
Robotier Building (VSB++) is the last "safe" building with Fletcher motel and Woodland Cinema still ruined. Eldridge Museum is repaired but wide open as zombies attack are frequent. Moment of silence for Mr Chun as he got eaten there ... lord knows I tried to safe you but dammit you wont'leave -_-. Club Hagen is unlit but holding with 6-7 survivors holed up there ... too dark to make out their health status.
St. Heliers and St. Albans are repaired but unlit ... zombie attacks are frequent and there is not enough manpower to keep the barricades up. Uglow building is still ruined but Wortley Building (NT) and Coomer Building are repaired but unlit.
The MOB Locator indicates the horde is in Pescodside. Their next stop might be Rolt Heights and if we don't have some sort of safe fallback position in Rhodenbank or Earletown, we are all dead as we will have no safe place to hide and no way to replenish our medpacks and ammo. Come on over to [81-83,11] to stock up on gen/fuel, [79,15] to stock up on medpacks and help retake southwestern Rhodenbank. --OO Willie 02:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

November 14th

25.96 MHz: "... Rhodenbank is still active, over a hundred on the streets ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... a few buildings with lights on ... the whole suburb's wrecked ... the Wallbutton Building has fallen ..." --Ryan Rocksmith 04:55, 15 November 2009 (UTC) (broadcast November 14)

November 13th

With the fall of two factories to the South, after five days, all resource buildings in Rhodenbank are destroyed. -- Kittithaj 00:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, Rhodenbank, you were yummy. The Militant Order of Barhah greatly appreciates the calories you've donated to our cause. -- Grogh 00:53, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

November 12th

Fourth day of the attack, according to MOB's intelligence, all three NT buildings lining the Eastern Rhodenbank-Dulston border were destroyed. Now, only the Southern part of the suburb is left intact. But for how long? -- Kittithaj 00:48, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

November 11th

The Wallbutton Building came under attack in the early morning hours. Rumors spoken in soft voices tell us that the Infected Swarm is headed this way to link up with zombies from the Militant Order of Barhah.--FLZombie 04:56, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

With MOB attacking high survivor-density targets, and emitting groan after groan, several shuffling zombies were noted to be streaming in from Dulston, Rolt Heights, as well as Pescodside - in search of easy meals. This suburb is now dealing with more than a fair share of zombies. Nevertheless, half of the potential targets in this neighborhood are still loaded up with brave and heavily armed survivors willing to take a stand against the zombie onslaught. --FLZombie 20:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
UPDATE:Zombies have just broken into the Carlyle Building NT some of the zombies present seem to be bitterly demanding the return of DNA samples that were allegedly taken from them during the day. --FLZombie 21:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Cull Avenue Police Department has also been invaded by a mob of about 20 zombies. Currently there are two last survivors left. It is going to fall soon. -- Kittithaj 23:27, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

November 10th

Second day of the MOB invasion, two more important resource building were destroyed. The Devonshire Building went down first. It was later followed by the surprise ruining of the heavily defended Hindmarsh Row Police Department. Apparently, a horde of 30 zombies attacking at the same time was too much to handle. -- Kittithaj 00:49, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

November 9th

The MOB has entered Rhodenbank.--~ Red Hawk One Talk | space for lease 04:54, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

25.96 MHz: "... leaving Rhodenbank, counted about eighty outside ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... lights are on across the suburb ... only a few buildings damaged though ... the Carlyle Building is being held ..."
The presence of MOB, and the resulting military report, makes the suburb Dangerous. -- Kittithaj 21:24, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
UPDATE: First day of their invasion, the MOB took out St Alban's Hospital and St. Helier's Hospital. The nearby Wortley NecroTech Building on Earletown border was ruined as well. Hindmarsh Row Police Department is in immediate danger. -- Kittithaj 22:15, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Confirmed: The Militant Order of Barhah started dribbling in about 20 hours ago. Now that most of us are here, it's time to get down to some serious Barhah-spreading fun! C'mon Rhodenbank, let's dance-- Grogh 22:54, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

November 8th

25.96 MHz: "... Rhodenbank is still active, about forty on the streets ... maybe a dozen outside Gable Walk Fire Station ... lights are on across the suburb ... can't see a single ruined building either ... some survivor activity in the Wallbutton Building ..." --Ryan Rocksmith 05:54, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

November 5th

NT scans from across the suburb show 90 zombies in range, with only 30 of them in Rhodenbank. Of those, they concentrated almost solely along the eastern border, with few zombies out west. Aside from a horde of 11 outside the Carlyle, most buildings are both safe and slightly over-barricaded.--~ Red Hawk One Talk | space for lease 03:33, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Things to do while in Rhodenbank

  • Need an extra pistol clip? Tired of being chased by zombies in the street? - Come down to the one and only Very Strongly Barricaded Billinghurst Place PD for some shotguns and pistols free of charge! No PKing Necessary. Must be able to climb over barricades. Hurry while supplies last and zombies are kept at bay!
  • Quench the thirst for beer! - The Ablett Arms is open at all hours of the day, 7 days a week, serving free ice-cold beers. What more could you ask for? Nothing, that's what! So drop on by the pub and quench that thirst, play some billiards or darts, and chat it up with some of the friendliest survivors this side of Malton.
  • Marvel at the BRAINZ Exhibit! - Who loves brains more than even the most dedicated scientist? Zombies of course. So, it should come as no shock that the famous Brain Museum has been the target of countless zombie hordes. The most well known attack being from the Shacknews zombie horde, which ended their undead existence inside this very museum. How's that for a love of brains? Hey, I'm fine with it just so long as it's not our brains they're after...
  • Bored? Australian? Anti-Australian? - However you feel about Down under you won't want to miss a pilgrimage to the Guiday Monument! Come and we'll crack open some VB, Cascade or any other Aussie alcoholic beer beverage (we have tons, but you must realize non-Aussies: Fosters suck) and we'll throw another steak on the barbie. Bloody hell, you might even come to like some of our sheilas! Kiwi's need not apply.
  • Come visit the Tallest Towers in Rhodenbank! - Mallard Towers offers a great view of the surrounding suburbs. We offer free drinks from Club Farrel to all visitors. We have room for all kinds, zombies and PKers have the parking garage, Pro-life survivors have access to the lobby, the 2nd, and 3rd floors. Souless Survivors have access to all parts of the building for security reasons. Please bring the entire family to visit and enjoy two of Malton's Greatest Towers.
