20071120 Zombie knockdown

boxy 13:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Flavor.

Suggestion scope
Zombies who ?rise.

Suggestion description
This is just a bit of flavor for when a zombie gets knocked down in a building, but isn't dumped before being able to rise again. Usually everyone seeing "Ninja Jack killed a zombie (34 minutes ago)". With this suggestion, when someone kills a zombie, but it stands straight back up inside the building they would see "Badass Special-ops knocked a zombie down, but it stumbled back to it's feet (34 minutes ago)".

This would only happen when the zombie is killed and stands up indoors, and if someone knocks down a zombie/zombies multiple times, you get the "and again" message.

  10. Keep - Zombie flavour is lacking somewhat, and this is useful flavour at that--SeventythreeTalk 17:02, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  11. I cant understand the claim by Funt that this would increase spam (unless you are counting the amount of words) as it replaces the regular kill text. And if it happens repeatedly it would say "and again" which is just like when killing. - Whitehouse 17:09, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  12. Keep - I like it.Studoku 18:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Kill Votes

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - (as in, this suggestion increases it). And, an edit, to Whitehouse's concern, I was under the impression that if the zombie stands up, say once, but then gets killed and stays down, you'd need two lines, instead of one. Zeds are anonymous - I don't care if the one I killed stands up again, so, even in one line, for me, this is spam. Not to worry - looks like it'll get mainly Keeped. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 16:33, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess it would add another line when someone knocks one zombie down, and then kills it (or another) and dumps it. But I don't think those circumstances happen enough in a day to make it a spam problem -- boxytalk • 00:20 21 November 2007 (BST)
On it's own, no. With the other reports I have to go through...hrmn...maybe I need to suggest more report filtering. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 09:00, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. SPAM!? *gasp* - Agreed funt... agreed... --Quentin Tarantino 01:31, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. Spam - Pickets the discrimination against anonymity.--Karekmaps?! 01:59, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Is that a deliberate tactic, Karek? Make your justification jibberish, so that the author has to ask what the hell you're on with their only re:, and then you get the last word when you reply? -- boxytalk • 04:08 27 November 2007 (BST)
No, I thought it was pretty clear, your suggestion is anti-zombie-anonymity, it essentially tells people which zombies are standing, or at least one of them, without any AP expenditure. I really don't see what's so unclear about my justification.--Karekmaps?! 05:32, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
  4. Spam As per Funt- the flavor isn't really needed, and the extra lines would just be more chatter to be ignored when you log in. --Karlsbad 19:49, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
