NecroWatch reported in from the Russell and Telfer Buildings today. Recent scans had revealed that there were 32 zombies within scanning range of the two facilities, after accounting for scan overlaps. Of these numbers, there were 6 zombies at Arscott Road Fire Station, 5 zombies at the zoo's Aquarium, and 3 zombies at Huggins Towers. The remaining zombies were scattered, in 1's and 2's, across the area and appeared to pose no significant threat to any other locations. --Mobius 13:24, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Upgrading danger status to Very Dangerous. Many buildings wide-open or infested, as the definition states. Also, RP's are down, due to the problem of the NT's being infested with zeds.-- Ωmega360 Small septagon.gifT 13:56, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

October 20th

At least 43 zombies spread throughout the suburb, which has a fairly even mixture of ruins, powered buildings and barricaded buildings without power. A state of conflict exists at the zoo, which is currently held by survivors under siege by zombies. Of the suburb's Tactical Resource Points, 5 are powered (2 NTs, a hospital and an auto repair), whilst 2 are ruined (an NT and the remaining auto repair). This fits the moderate danger level description. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 23:41, 20 October 2008 (BST)

October 12th

At least 17 zombies on the streets. Breakdown of the Tactical Resource Points:

  • 3 NecroTechs: 2 powered, 1 ruined.
  • 1 hospital & 1 factory: powered.
  • 2 auto repairs: 1 ruined, 1 no power.

There are a few ruins in the west. Moderate. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 20:10, 12 October 2008 (BST)

  • 1 hospital: no power.
  • 1 factory: no power.
  • 2 auto repairs: 1 ruined, 1 no power.

Given the lack of any powered TRPs, with nearly half being ruined, this seems to be Dangerous. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 17:27, 27 September 2008 (BST)

A sudden increase of zombie numbers, plus the fact that most dark buildings were still ruined cutting off the free running network has really taken it's toll on the suburb. most buildings are ruined but have no zombies in them, almost a ghost town, but safe-houses are still up, although under attack.--'BPTmz 06:19, 30 June 2008 (BST)

The Malton City Zoo keepers have gone and reestablished the Necrotech buildings around the Zoo and are beginning to recade and take out zombie groups around the mall. If you need a revive, go to St Matthias's Church. The wait is from 1-3 days on average. In other news, however, most of Malton has pretty much taken to zombies. With no Mobile Phone Masts or radio terminals set up in Ketchelbank, news of surrounding suburbs is lacking. We strongly suggest staying with your local safehouse or visiting the Zoo and taking a rest there. Sincerely, The Malton Zookeepers - Fred Caine

The struggel for the 2 central NTs in Ketchelbank contiues. A couple of RRF-members are found among the attackers, Zookeepers and some unaligned survivors are defending. Russell Building fell yesterday to a small mob of ~25+ zombies, direclty after the implementation of the new rules and couldn't be reconquered by survivors. Scans show slightly more zombies (36)than standing survivors in the direct area of the building complex Russell, Telfer, Riddell Way Fire Station and St. Eusebius's Hospital.--John die Kralle 12:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Although there are no more than 11zombies in front and another ~15 scattered around Telfer Building, there were serveral break-ins yesterday and today. Lights are off since noon, but 'cades are up again. Scans from Russell Building show 16zombies in the zoo and no more than 50zombies in the scanning area.--John die Kralle 14:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

January 12th

Follow-up scans by NecroWatch from the Russell and Staples Buildings, indicated that there were an estimated 85 zombies in range of both facilities (accounting for zombies within the scan overlay). Of note, the number of zombies standing at the Telfer Building has increased now to 25. Of these numbers 24 zombies were inside the zoo. The only other significant zombie mobs were the same as yesterday, with now 6 zombies at St. Eusebius's Hospital and another 6 zombies at the nearby factory. The remaining zombies were scattered.

January 11th

NecroWatch reported a NecroNet scan from the Telfer Building which showed that there were 74 zombies within scanning range. Of these zombies, 20 were assaulting the Telfer facility directly, while another 25 were inside the zoo. The only other significant zombie numbers were 5 zombies at St. Eusebius's Hospital and another 5 more zombies at a nearby factory. The remaining zombies were scattered.

First Annual Aquarium Art Show Aaas.jpg

Both survivor and zombie alike will be able to enjoy the many fine works of art normally found only in Malton's museums.
The zookeepers have decided to bring a little culture to the area, unfortunately we couldn't find any unbroken petri dishes so we settled on displaying many of the exhibits found in our local museums. Art enthusiasts, both dead or alive, will be able to gaze for hours on end the many works of art looted from closed or ransacked museums. You are encouraged to steal borrow any exhibits you find and place them in the Aquarium for all to enjoy!

NOTE: Zombies are asked to please refrain from gnawing or chewing on the portraits. However, landscape, surrealist and still art has been peppermint coated for your chewing pleasure.

The rebuilding process in Ketchelbank has begun and is meeting with mixed progress. The area is still quite dangerous. Visitors and passersby are advised to stay on their toes and consult the locals for survival tips; anyone awaiting a revive is advised to wait at St. Matthias' Church, as the line is shorter and turnaround faster than at St. Pius. --Lo Meng 06:04, 23 August 2007 (BST)

August 22nd

This has been a long time coming. I lacked the free-time previously to clear up the extremely disputed status of Ketchelbank. I did a full AP sweep of the buildings inside Ketchelbank. Below is the overview of a detailed report. I suggest reading the entire report if you want information on Ketchelbank's status. A link of that can be found here. [[1]]

Report Summary;

-Fifteen buildings in survivor hands. 31 total survivors in Ketchelbank, averaging just around 2 survivors per building held. The most survivors in any one building were 5, in a non-TRP. This suggests barricade strafing. Survivors hold one out of three NT buildings, but it was empty and unpowered (suggesting zombies often hold the building.)
-Seventeen buildings ruined and in Zombie hands. 16 total zombies on the inside of buildings, with at least 50 (probably closer to 70+) on the outside.
-Zombie-to-Survivor Ratio is at least 2:1, most likely closer to 3:1. Without a working NT building, it is suffices to say that it is between these two ratios.
-Zombies control slightly over half of the buildings in Ketchelbank, but control 75% of the TRPs in the suburb, rendering the survivors short-handed. See following:
-The two key revive points used by survivors in Ketchelbank both had over 20 zombies in queue. I moved a zombie into one of them four days ago, and have yet to be revived - meaning that you are unlikely to get a revive any time soon in Ketchelbank.

Swung by to do a review of Ketchelbank's safety. Revive lines are backed up 20+... minimal survivors out and about, many many ruined buildings, feral zombies still rampaging over the last MOB's party. Ketchelbank is as VeryDangerous and as Jorm said, "tomb"-like, as most of its surrounding VeryDangerous marked suburbs. --Donathin 16:58, 21 August 2007 (BST)

August 19th

after the MOB left ruined and ransacked suburb, survivors are slowly rebuilding. the southern half is caded and some buildings even powered. still a ways to go till the suburb is safe however.--'BPTmz 00:30, 20 August 2007 (BST)

Fully 80% or more of the suburb is cracked and ruined. The remaining buildings are being systematically destroyed. The suburb is quickly turning into a tomb.--Jorm 19:40, 16 August 2007 (BST)

August 15th

with the arrival of the MOB the suburb is deffently more dicey then it has been in weeks. however a few safehouses can be found and revivers traveling from outside the suburb knock the revive line-up's down, little by little, but people are advised to seek revive's else-were.--'BPTmz 02:44, 16 August 2007 (BST)

August 14th

The Militant Order of Barhah has decided on a field trip to see tigers at the zoo, and has entered the suburb from Havercroft. July 27th

With the leave of the Tahr, the suburb is back on its feet. Resource buildings are barricaded and powered. however over-barricading is currently a problem.--'BPTmz 23:21, 27 July 2007 (BST)

The Mmm Braanz Tahr spent its last official performing day in Ketchelbank, knocking down and ransacking the NT buildings (again) and enjoying the thespian-esque qualities of brains. They are moving on now, but may return for encore performances in the future. --Donathin 02:47, 24 July 2007 (BST)

The Mmm Braanz Tahr did indeed break open two NT buildings and survivors are strongly advised not to sleep in them. However much of the suburb is till holding strong. The Malton Zookeepers will miss the Tahr as it gave us some fun times, despite arguments.--'BPTmz 19:42, 24 July 2007 (BST)

July 20th

most buildings are barricaded and even a few are powered. However the area still has many break-ins and survivors with out the free-running skill are advised not visit the suburb without protection.--'BPTmz 20:35, 20 July 2007 (BST)

July 19th

Most buildings are empty of survivors or ransacked. Barricades are strafed and destroyed by zeds very quickly. Resource buildings are in zombie hands entirely, and the zombies more than double (and sometimes triple) the small human population in Ketchelbank. It is very dangerous for survivors currently. The Mmm Braanz Tahr's run in Ketchelbank is nearly over, however... how (or whether) the safety level in the suburb will change after the Tahr leaves has yet to be seen.--Donathin 07:51, 20 July 2007 (BST)

July 18th

Most buildings are now barricaded, the South side is in great shape. and even a few buildings are powered. resource buildings are still big targets however so survivors are advised not to sleep in them. still pretty dicey for low-level survivors.--'BPTmz 03:37, 19 July 2007 (BST)

Extended discussion brought to the talk page.--'BPTmz 06:11, 19 July 2007 (BST)

July 17th

The suburb is continuing to fall more heavily into zombie hands every day. I'm not sure how much more dangerous it could possibly be, barring every single building being open. The resource buildings are ransacked and under zombie control, half of the zoo has been ransacked for nearly a week, and zombies more than double (and sometimes almost triple) the human populations when I do 50 AP scouts of the suburb. Seeing as how Ketchelbank is more dangerous than many of the RED suburbs to its south and to its east, and is has only been growing more-so for over a month, I am taking the initiative to really encourage a Moderator to change the danger level of the suburb to Very Dangerous (which is probably at least a few days over-due). --Donathin 22:10, 17 July 2007 (BST)

There are still plenty of barricaded buildings however. while the resource buildings do get barricaded, zombies take them down pretty quickly. however if one has the free-running skill there are quite a few very heavy and even a couple extremely heavy buildings to sleep in.--'BPTmz 22:40, 17 July 2007 (BST)

July 14th

Approximately 65-70 zombies located in the area, not including the RPs or the very few zombies located inside buildings. Survivor count is much higher than 15 previously reported, with 45 survivors spotted. (I was unable to look inside buildings located in NE Ketchelbank) 2/3rds of the buildings were at VSB or higher with only one of them being a resource building. --Mister Sandmann 05:18, 14 July 2007 (BST)

As of this morning, all of the TRPs are in zed hands, once again. Any attempts to reclaim them do not survive for longer than a day. The number of survivors in the suburb will continue to fluctuate for various reasons (travel, revivification, barricade strafing, etc). The number is thin, however, whichever way the tide flows at the moment.--Donathin 13:51, 14 July 2007 (BST)

July 13th

The two major non-resource safehouses were busted into, and the Mmm Braanz Tahr gave a special surprise performance to nearly half of the remaining survivors in the suburb of Ketchelbank. Audience participation was high, and they gladly (or hesitantly) gave up their braanz. With the resource buildings in this suburb already gone, less than 15 living survivors currently holed up in the suburb, and the populated safehouses smashed to the ground, Ketchelbank is most definitely Very Dangerous now.--Donathin 15:03, 13 July 2007 (BST)

At least two of the resource buildings have been barricaded, and one powered, all day today. There are still plenty of heavily, and extremely heavily barricaded buildings about, and my observer in the suburb has remained alive for the whole week. It's a dangerous suburb, perhaps heading to very dangerous, if your zombies can get organized and hold the TRPs -- boxy T Nuts2U DA 15:12, 13 July 2007 (BST)

July 12th

A full scan of Ketchelbank showed a total of 24 survivors in the entire suburb of Ketchelbank. Every resource building is out of commission, and there are only two safehouses with 5 or more survivors in them, and there are no consistent safehouses as break-ins and population shift are constant. The zombies of Ketchelbank outnumber the survivors at least 3:1, currently. My recommendation is to increase the danger level of the suburb to Very Dangerous.--Donathin 07:48, 12 July 2007 (BST)

There are still safehouses for those with the free-running skill however. At the moment the suburb is dangerous.--'BPTmz 16:33, 12 July 2007 (BST)

None of the suburb's resource buildings remain barricaded for long, and are all but empty while most other buildings are wide open, if not ransacked. Heavily barricaded buildings are still to be found in central Ketchelbank, but there are few safe places for those without free running to get off the streets -- boxy T Nuts2U DA 13:29, 10 July 2007 (BST)

The Mmm Braanz Tahr has boosted box office sales in the centre of the suburb. The extra profit from the continued success of the Tahr will go towards buying liquor, Macaroni&Braanz, and some Carnage-in-a-Box. The ratio of living survivors to daily murders is great enough to possibly declare utter Barhahah. Barricades continue to be strafed, but there are only 2 or 3 buildings in the entire suburb with at least 5 survivors occupying and holding the inside currently. Dangerous times in Ketchelbank.--Donathin 22:03, 9 July 2007 (BST)

Around 75%+ of the suburb is barricaded/ransacked. You aren't going to find resource buildings (or many safe houses) in Ketchelbank. The Zoo is being consistently broken into and the inhabitants eaten. The Mmm Braanz Tahr seems to be partying out a little too hard right now. The danger level of the suburb should be Orange (or maybe even Red, really), but has currently been frozen to Yellow for the time being. Donathin 02:09, 27 June 2007 (EST)

Most of the southern suburb is ransacked and 10+ survivors are still dying in that area daily. There are mobs of 50+ still in that area, though the mob in the Zoo area itself is a little smaller due to the zig-zagging nature of the Mmm Braanz Tahr. --Donathin

June 19th

despite what is posted below the fact remains, that while the north of Ketchelbank is suffering there are still plenty of safehouses and survivors in the south. and according to the suburb page. It's not dangerous because there are no zombie hordes over 50.--'BPTmz 05:05, 20 June 2007 (BST)

Ironic and incorrect (again), as I've moved easily from building to building in the south/south-east section of the suburb for the past few days, watching mini-hordes break into most of the survivor strongholds and eat the inhabitants. Riddell Way Fire Station and Arscott Road Fire Station (my breakfast this morning) have both fallen with many casualties in the past couple of days, along with hotels, hospitals, and NT buildings in that section of town. Just because there's no 50+ Zombie hordes does not mean that the suburb isn't dangerous. Less denial, more action and help, please. I haven't even seen a building successfully resist any of the mini-hordes since the beginning of the Tahr. Let's try to keep this factual and helpful for people in Ketchelbank and the people who may be passing through. Okay?

<3 Donathin

Please take it to the talk page. And also note that 50+ hordes don't have to all be on one square, 5 10+ hordes split up over about 1 corner of the suburb is the same as, if not more dangerous, than one 50+ horde. --karek 14:44, 20 June 2007 (BST)

June 18th

With many buildings barricaded the suburb is well on it's way to safety once again. Survivors have yet to see more then one zombie with Mmm Braanz Tahr as his group, leading many to believe this is the word of one taking credit for the work of random ferals.--'BPTmz 22:04, 18 June 2007 (BST)

I'll avoid the use of sarcasm to be clear to everyone. Firstly, I say this as I eat two Zookeepers in the just-broken-into Riddell Way Fire Station after having cleared all (via many strong mini-hordes) surrounding NT buildings (amongst many other buildings) and most of the big sight-seeing locations in the Zoo itself. It is simply lying to claim that most of the buildings are barricaded and the survivors safe. If you go to the Zookeeper website (www.maltoncityzoo.com), then you can see Zookeepers communicating with each other about the dangerous state of the resource buildings and safehouses in the suburb.
Between 10-20 survivors are dying every day right now in Ketchelbank, and it is simply not neutral to try to obfuscate this. Secondly, the Mmm Braanz Tahr was a satirical wiki-device that I created to poke good-natured fun at the Drama Club and be funny (since this game is known for its tongue-in-cheek humor), which Keepers like 'Keet understand and others, apparently do not. Finally, I am very glad at any Wiki using Zombies who are enjoying the Mmm Braanz Tahr. It has been very successful (I have been eating at least two braanz a day for a long while now) considering it started as a joke, and I'm glad to see its humor has encouraged a makeshift horde to get together for some fun.
Maybe instead of trying to disvalue what is going on in Ketchelbank right now, the survivors should work harder to organize and defeat the zombie hordes. There are enough mini-hordes to continue causing severe harm to the unwary in this suburb, and if I could play two characters easily(and without penalty) in Ketchelbank, then I'd help the Zookeepers out... because they still need it.
<3 It's been fun so far. Donathin
