Fort Perryn

Someone called "blumpkins" has contacted the DHPD on behalf of the Wulves, Task Force 141 and The Cannonball Crew for assistance retaking Fort Perryn (which, I observe is currently unoccuped by zombies, but you know). I was just wondering if you knew anything about this? Purple Cat ~ DHPD 09:30, 15 June 2010 (BST)

Sudden Death

I had to create a new alt for this and unfortunately, it's taking forever to level him up. He's literally wandering around Malton aimlessly until I can get 100 XP and get free running so I can even get inside the stadium. haha. Right around 75 XP right now, hoping to get this guy up to speed by the end of this week/middle of next. But I'd love to have you in the group. --Travis Wells/Goalie Malkin

The direct translation would be Gab na-gang or Gab harm. 453rd proposal

I have been facing mass desertion in my ranks and now I am left in charge of a ghost crew I would like to propose a deal... my former base and the 453rd recruitment tools(wiki page, recruitment ad, and the "453rd Armed Medical Core" name) for a position with the wulves... Im a level 37(maxed out survivor stats), former 354th commander with several successful missions under my belt and a high leadership capability I am currently located in the Peppardville area pleas message me as soon as possible. - supflidowg 00:25, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I still need to know if your leader would like my Wiki page/Recruitment/Base ad, I really would not like them to go to waste and I can probably change it, but your leader may want a "branch group." --supflidowg 23:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

There are actually 3 "leaders" of the Wulves-one for each company and I can only really speak for 2nd CO-but I agree it would be a shame to waste all the work you put into it-Could you alter it to be a 4th Company of the Wulves along the idea of a branch group? We could then link it on the Wulves page the same way I did with the 2nd CO page. Thoughts?--Belisarius17 01:57, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Alright that may work happy to be of some help. -supflidowg 01:25, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Nov. 14. I see you contacted us. Our group is just forming. We are returning to home base in Earletown to establish a beachhead for re-taking the suburb. You are more than welcome to join us. We know where were going and what we need to do, so if you want to add a helping hand for a few days or weeks, we would much appreciate it. We'll definately be coming through Roft Heights and it would be great if you could perhaps scout us out a safe house in advance in a Hotel/Motel or Arms. Taco2.

Agreed-Our group had a good action at Perryn in October but we learned some things: The Feral Undead are good at what they do-they took out the phone mast and the NT buildings. While a light unit can move in quickly and cade+restore buildings, once it turned into a seige we did not know how to defend so when the Malton Rangers died or pulled out we were quickly overrun (although we did manage to get most of the unit out in one piece and revive the rest quickly through our alliances). I would be interested in your thoughts and would like to loop in some of the bigger number groups like Umbrella Corp although I am finding it difficult to consistantly reach groups through the forums. If we could have some numbers holding the fort, I could see light units setting up shop at the NT buildings near by...holding the Gate house, armory and infirmary are tough once they get a beachhead-maybe a different tactic of movement and rebuilding...depends on the numbers really (Don't suppose any Knights Templar might want to crusade for a bit???). Our original plan for Perryn was to go in cade and repair a barracks in order to get "trophies" that proved the action was successful and then to post it on the Perryn site (Guerilla Warfare is often about good press and living to fight another day) but since the other allies launched their strikes first we thought they deserved the lions share of the press (we did get perryn dogtags and Berets as trophies). This will take some time but should be fun to plan-looking forward to working with you!--Belisarius17 05:57, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead and visit our forum. You can do so by Clicking Here.. Once you do that,... you'll note that under the Non Members section, there is a section listed as General Chat. Hey, I've done some scouting and recon on the base. So far, the gatehouse has 4 zeds in while the armoury has 2. the barracks and the storehouse left of the gatehouse is empty. The other storehouse to the right has 2. the vehicle depot and the infirmary has none. outside, there is a total of 5 zeds.-- Rogue Medic 14:53, 17 November 2009

  1. No, I didn't hear you, I attacked while you were typing.
  2. Shank the Cat did it. He has been fighting us longer than anyone still around, but never said a thing about it, graffiti excluded.
  3. Don't erase it! We like infamy. --VVV RPMBG 04:34, 17 April 2010 (BST)

Odd that-I registered attacks by AH not your character Trip, hmmm wonder how that happened eh? No worries, you do whatever you have to friend. I was not worried about the attacks-they were as inept as usual (not that it was your fault-it is really hard for a zed to take down a 60 HP survi) and I was hoping you might get lucky so I could buy all the zed skills. The reason I was waiting was to make sure you understood what was going on, but I now understand it was not worth the effort. May you receive all the infamy you so richly deserve. By the way, I agree with Voltaire:"ECRASEZ L'INFAME!"--Belisarius17 05:16, 17 April 2010 (BST)
Now that's downright confusing. Everything I know about that encounter is: I refreshed the page. AH was still there, but you have appeared with a full 60HP. No one had said anything. Following my instincts, I bit you, then began to attack. I can't hold onto you, because a different zombie already has (AH is the only one there, but there are reports that). I don't have full AP, and end up leaving you with 20AP. Later, I refresh. You left, but said two things, presumably you were attacked between them. I don't recall how much time was between my attack and your speaking, and I assume that you spoke shortly after my attack.
Logically, the only way you could have had 60HP at my first refresh and be within AH's grasp would be if you were healed before I refreshed. Assuming you weren't healed (since you were online the entire time you were inside, and there probably wasn't time for being attacked and healed), my memory must be flawed regarding my ability to grasp you. This wouldn't shock me, as I was in quite a rush, but I'm sure you had full health. It's also possible that me and AH were attacking at the same time, and the same-second bug made it look like only he was attacking. We won't know for sure until AH mounts the witness stand in the server's afternoon. --VVV RPMBG 08:49, 17 April 2010 (BST)

Can't work out what this is all about. AH slept inside the factory without attacking anyone as far as he can remember. He did kill some "Doggy" person outside at some point. Am not even sure what the question or issue or accusation is. As a zed, had he seen a human in the factory of course I, uh, he would have started biting. Still, pretty sure I didn't, but the drugs can cloud memories. If someone could be more specific it could help. I like Shank the Cat, AH loves all his enemies. AH is confused though... x --    : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 11:07, 17 April 2010 (BST)

There is no "question or issue or accusation" only observation. I went in with 60 HP knowing that 1 zed probably is not a threat and given your past patterns it was unlikely you would both be operational. I also expected to be attacked while I SLOWLY typed but again-having a played as a zed myself-I am of the opinion that a 60 Hp survi armed with faks and maxed healing skills has little to fear from a single zed. (It is tough to be a zed unless others work with you...which is why I had such high hopes for your group as a rival faction because we had you both marked as zeds to watch given your persistence which I admired...but that is water under the bridge I guess). The point was to let you know the Wulves weren't tagging over your stuff. I did not know who tagged that-but Shank is a crafty player and between the RR folks and the independents hitting you, well I think you have your work cut out for you without the far ranging Wulves hitting you on the fly. Rien n'est beau que le vrai. (Nothing is beautiful but the truth)--Belisarius17 15:43, 17 April 2010 (BST)

This was about tagging? Okay, had no idea. Am sure we don't care if our tagging is covered. And, personally, I love reading the sprayed propaganda, whatever tone it may take. All is fair in Malton. Pleased to have you Wulves as rivals (even though you heartlessly deleted my thoughtful talk-page gift!) --    : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : 15:52, 17 April 2010 (BST)

Tarumigan

Belisarius, I first recognized this idea several years ago, but I'd never heard of the term "Vault Fort" before. It may prove useful to link the article for Vault Fort to the article for NMDS (and vice versa) since they essentially lend themselves to each other. Very interesting. --{User:tarumigan|tarumigan]] 11:34 March 29 2010 (Eastern Standard Time)

Tony Darkgrave

I have submitted information that proves that he is Zombie Civillian XL and I have plenty of evidence in his own words that he has been zerging since 2006. He's been zerging for almost four years. I seriously doubt he will stop now, especially given that he uses proxies. He will likely just move the known alts away and continue zerging with unknown alts. If you want to continue associating with him, that's your belt buckle, but I figured you would appreciate some facts that Tony probably neglected to mention. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 16:57, 23 June 2010 (BST)

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Thank you for letting me know what the story was: this game has so many folks doing so many weird things. Actually the case in question led to me removing my Alt from the RHVP because of conflicts with DA's policy that I had been unaware of, so Mr Darkgrave is no longer my concern-although he is ruining the reputation of a good bunch of guys by not correcting his act and resolving the matter. He did say he would immediately stop zerging. Based on your info, it is hard to believe he will change his tune, but I would like to hope he would consider the group. In any case, it was very good of you to give me the heads up. Let me know if you need any info--Belisarius17 03:31, 24 June 2010 (BST)

How to get the Satellite Phone

Here is the thread Pero+ Pototo have in the general section helping me figure out how to get the Sat Phone. Please read the thread but basically:

1) install firefox

2) install greasemonkey

3) install the satellite phone

4) list phone your pin and phone number where you won't lose them

5) post you phone number

Satellite phone (Read 124 times) Pero djetlic RHVP Ally Posts: 243

Feb 27th, 2010, 6:24pm Sgt Erikson just mentioned cell phones in the PD... not sure if you know about satellite phone. Check it here: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Satellite_phone It is much better than cell phone, the only problem - it works only with Firefox, not IE or any other browser.

Why is it better?

1. you don't spend APs when you are using it.

2. it does not add to your encumbrance.

3. you can use it even if you are dead or undead.

4. it does not need working phone mast.

Well, there are more advantages, but I think those are the most important.

Before installing it, you will need to install Greasemonkey script (it is quick and easy, link is here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 Just press Add to Firefox button) After that, check 'Quick Start' section in Wiki (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Satellite_phone) Again, quick and easy.

Sgt Erikson Earletown Rangers & The Wulves Posts: 778 I will have to switch to Firefox.

Pero djetlic RHVP Ally Re: Satellite phone Reply #3 - Feb 27th, 2010, 9:00pm If you are using IE, that is a good thing to do even without satellite phone. You just have to download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html and install it. Of course, you will still be able to use IE, but I don't think you will want to do that.

SO TRUE!--Belisarius17 22:09, 5 July 2010 (BST)

In the Land of Mordor, Where the Shadows lie

(All lines in this scene are spoken by Galadriel)

I amar prestar aen. (ee amar prestar ein) Han mathon ne nen. (han mathon ne nen) Han mathon ne chae. (han mathon ne hai) A han nostron ned wilith. (ahan nothon ne gwilith)

The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. (and?) I smell it in the air.

Much that once was, is lost For none now live who remember it.

It began with the forging of the great rings. Three were given to the Elves: Immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings.

Seven to the dwarf lords: Great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls.

And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men who, above all else, desire power.

For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern each race.

But they were, all of them, deceived; for another ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged, in secret, a master ring.

And into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life.

One ring to rule them all.

One by one, the free lands of Middle-earth fell to the power of the ring.

But there were some who resisted. A Last Alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of Mordor.

Quick comment

Regarding this edit, you're of course very correct that junkyards cannot be ruined, but given the options available, it was the only choice that made sense. It wasn't barricaded at all, so that eliminates Safe, Under Attack, Under Siege, and Piñata as possibilities, since the place was wide open and the survivors had been eaten already. There were no survivors in it at the time and the zombies were clearing out, so that eliminates Rebuilding and In Zombie Hands. It wasn't Unknown either, since we knew its state. At that point, even though Ruined is technically incorrect, given that junkyards can't be ruined, the intent of Ruined — to indicate a block that is in a state of disrepair but is not actively being held by zombies — is clearly the only one of the choices that applied at that time.

Anyway, just wanted to explain myself, since I know it was an unusual state for a junkyard. Aichon 06:41, 7 June 2013 (BST)

Scouteric kills TripleU.png

I logged back in to see you were one shot from dropping me, and I was totally going to ?rise on your ass. But I misread the situation. I thought you had run out of AP and were sticking around to get the kill as soon as you had the AP. So I thought I might have to wait as much as 29 minutes, and then have a 30 minute window to stand back up. So I didn't mash the ?rise all that fast. And you got me. If I had realized you were typing, those three seconds you gave me would have been more than enough. Next time, fleshie! --VVV RPMBG 00:39, 9 October 2013 (BST)

Alas Trip, it is even worst than that! You were beaten, not by skill, but the incompetent typing style of the hunt and peck keyboard speed of the truly computer challenged. Oh sometimes Darwin must laugh- survival of the most improbable. --Belisarius17 01:42, 10 October 2013 (BST)

"You are not a rotter." Yup. Definitely not a rotter. That's why I'm level 43 and my profile says Mrh?. Because I'm not a rotter. I'm just an unrotted human who tripped and fell out of a window. Hoping for a poke. In the outdoor revive point. Why don't you stick a needle in my neck? Or how about four? --VVV RPMBG 23:28, 12 October 2013 (BST)

Thanks

Hey, thanks for finding me on here and letting me know, and I appreciate the offer to vouch for me in your groups. For the moment I'll probably just stick around Grigg Heights. Cheers -Futuyama 18:13, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

A barricade policy is NPOV? Ladies night is a historical event?Raining Fire

Hmmm- I see your point. I would say that having a barricade policy is debatable on whether or not it is a survivor tool. From the zed side, I have always found cade outlines good intel because my zed tends to "wander rogue", so looking for vsb and dark ruined EPs is a good way to pick off low hanging fruit. Course, now that I only hit level 10 plus players this tactic is not as useful. But reporting a cade policy as it is established is reporting a fact- so yes, what I did was very much NPOV.
Now regarding Ladies night as reported by JesusSante, you can be forgiven for not understanding but yes, it was a historical event- It was a play on the idea that there are no women gamers - a joke that you must be aware of surely? But it did take place. Cheers--Belisarius17 23:51, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
