About Us
The Bastards of War were formed in Urban Dead on December 5th 2005 in the suburb of Earletown and have called it their home ever since. We are a group that have found a common enemy in the form of zombies and make it our highest priority to ensure the safety of every survivor that passes through our borders, from the lowest of levels to those who can handle themselves. Through implementation of our custom barricade plan, we intend to make it possible for everyone to find a safe haven from zombie assaults. We are a group that does not fear death, as long as we take several zeds down with us!
We intend to make the suburbs of Earletown , Pashenton and Chancelwood easily accessible to every survivor. Several safe houses and revive points will be set up and made public knowledge. All resources in our suburb will be made available to everyone, only overbarricading the most necessary of buildings.
Active Revive Points
Ames Plaza (79,6)
Stringer St. (73,15) and Homer St. (77,12)
Curton Mansion and Parrot Plaza (62,8)
Organization
- Area of Operations: Currently our members are pacifying the suburbs of Earletown and Pashenton, maintaining barricades as needed. While moving into Chancelwood with similar objectives. We also operate several revive points in the dual-suburb area. In Earletown you could shamble on over to Ames Plaza (79,6) or in Pashenton you could visit either of our two convenient locations at Stringer St. (73,15) and Homer St. (77,12). Don't forget to tip your server!
- Group structure: BOW is divided into three subgroups: Hunters, whose primary task is eliminating hostiles; Scientists, who operate the revive points and and give real hands on medical care to your average survivor-on-the-street; and Engineers, who actively maintain barricade levels and radio transmitting equipment, as well as acting as supervisor over a section of the suburb. It is not strictly necessary to become a member of any particular subgroup when joining; it is mainly a way of keeping a level of organization during planned missions.
Allies
- Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps- As of February 23, 2006, BOW and the RCDC are allies.
- FOXHOUND- As of February 24, 2006, BOW and FOXHOUND are allies.
- Fire Brigade 47- As of September 1, 2006, BOW and Fire Brigade 47 are allies.
- Haven Radio - As of October 12, 2006, BOW and Haven Radio will be working together to secure Pashenton.
- The B-Town Boyz - As of October 20, 2006, BOW and The B-Town Boys are allies. BOW is happy to render any assistance neccesary to keep the revive point at Curton Mansion, Chancelwood, running.
- Ragnarok - As of 18 November 2006, BOW and Ragnarok will be working together to secure Earletown and Pashenton.
- FEBU - As of 11 January 2007, FEBU and BOW are working together in Pashenton and will work collectively to secured the suburb for all humans.
- Independent Malton Militia - On 18 January 2007, The independant Milita Of Malton and BOW allied together and eventhough the distance between us is quite large this won't deny us helping each other in times of crisis.. Especially since their second in command is a former player of BOW..
- Tikhon Medical - On 22 September 2007, Tikhon Medical and BOW has agree to work together to protect Chancelwood from zombies attacks and secure Chancelwood for all humans.
Policies
- PKer's and ZKer's: BOW will not recruit survivors that are known to be PKer's or ZKer's. We take a dim view of players that randomly or purposefully PK or ZK others. We believe that excessive PKing, or any kind of griefing, ruins the fun of the game.
- Random Revives: BOW does not condone random revives as we respect a zombie's choice to remain a zombie. Revives will only be provided at the designated revive points (Ames Plaza in Earletown, Homer Street or Stringer Street in Pashenton, Curton Mansion and Parrott Plaza in Chancelwood) after a DNA scan has been performed. On the other hand, if you want to make the whole process easier on everyone, you can post your profile on our revive request forums. Want to know how? Read on, my friend. Revives have slowed down somewhat, but BOW is coming back around to restart their trusty serivce. I mean, who wouldn't want to stab a zombie with something pointy?
- Radio Frequency: BOW currently broadcasts on the frequencey 26.40
- Revive Requests: If you're a zombie looking for a revive please post on our forums. You don't even have to register!
- Earletown revivification requests, click here.
- Pashenton revivification requests, click here.
- Chancelwood revivification requests, click here.
Recruitment Policies
BOW is open to all survivors, with exception of those that are known to participate in malicious PKing. Your level is not an issue, we will work with you in order to help you survive and grow. Remember, our survival depends on your survival. Interested parties should follow the link to the forums and go to the general section. Instructions are available on the proper recruitment procedure.

Barricading Plan
Our current barricade policy is basically to keep all buildings at a safe level, allowing all survivors from level one and up, a safe place to hide.
As of February 18, 2006- BOW has an official plan for the barricading of Earletown, dubbed the BOW Suicide Prevention Protocol. The plan calls for all buildings that survivors can jump out of to commit suicide to be barricaded to extremely heavy. This prevents zombies who have been revived, and who do not possess Free Running, from simply commiting suicide. Currently BOW is maintaining barricades across the whole suburb except for the North-West Zone. In the West Zone, we are simply trying to keep the barricades at least Very Strongly Barricaded but many buildings will remain overbarricaded until the area is more secure.

Tikhon Medical is an ad-hoc group of survivors in Ruddlebank, Dartside and Shuttlebank, operating out of Tikhon General Hospital (Ruddlebank) and Tikhon General Hospital (Dartside) and Fabian General Hospital (Shuttlebank). There is no leader and no set rules or guidelines, just a bunch of like-minded folks living in or near the hospitals and working to support them. You could think of M*A*S*H without Col. Potter. With zombie North Koreans.

Purpose
Defending our Cheesy Poof supply. Tikhon Medical is also involved in healing and revivification services, operating revive points at Greenleaves Alley in Ruddlebank, Lyng Street in Dartside and Look Road in Shuttlebank. Occasionally, a team will be dispatched to trouble spots in the vicinity to treat/cause medical problems. It's purely voluntary, so "dispatch" probably isn't the right word. But "dispatch" is such a cool word, I had to use it. "Dispatch". Yeah.
Besides healing, there is barricade maintenance and general tomfoolery. We actually talk and crack jokes at Tikhon, and moon passing zombies. People who duck in for safety often stay a while for the yucks. A few even join our ranks. Events also start up at random times, with no warning, like the BBQ at Cosens and even stand up jokes/comedy acts at the hospital.
About Tikhon General Hospital
Tikhon Medical currently holds an iron fisted rule over both Tikhon General Hospital (Ruddlebank), Tikhon General Hospital (Dartside) and Fabian General Hospital (Shuttlebank). Surrounding buildings are used frequently by Tikhon Medical, but we don't claim ownership over them.
Religion
Tikhon West (aka, Tikhon Prime)Advantages: Most of what we need is within 1 move of the hospital - fuel, generators and medical supplies. NecroTech facilities are nearby, but not next door. Those places are creepy. Eight (8) moves straight NE is Tompson Mall for more intensive shopping. Disadvantages: It is a hospital, and therefore a target. Firearms and ammunition are not located very close, so bring an axe. Sly Place Police Department is reachable, but between travel time and search time, you may make it an overnight trip. Update: Tikhon Prime now has a Radio Transmitter installed in it! |
Tikhon EastAdvantages: Everything we could ever want is within 3 blocks, except a Fire Station, but it's hardly any loss. There are 3 Police Departments that act as an abundant source of ammunition, 3 more Hospitals close by and there are 3 NecroTech buildings each only 3 blocks away. These buildings act as a large fortress against zombie attacks and a great base of operations. This also means that we can have a few TRPs at EHB instead of VS+2. Disadvantages: Because of all the TRPs squashed together in one area this makes it a hot spot for zombie attack. But then, that just means target practice, so even that has its upside. |
Tikhon NorthAdvantages: The hospital is well stocked with medical supplies and there are two police stations for firearms and a creepy NecroTech facility is next door. Most of what we need is within 2-3 moves of the hospital - fuel, generators. Eight (8) moves NW is Calvert Mall and Nine (9) moves NE is Bale Mall, for those late night cravings for Tacos and ammo. Disadvantages: It's the only hospital in the suburb, and is therefore a MAJOR target. A neighbouring zombie horde has taken a distinct dislike to us setting up shop on their doorstep and a full-blown turf war has erupted. Okay, a turf skirmish. |

GKing - Generator Killers are lame. Unless you're Amish, you have no business destroying equipment, and neither do we. Unless, of course, we're trying to turn off the "FRESH EATS HERE" sign when loads of zombies are around.
RKing - Radio Killers aren't lame if it stops spam. Not all radio chatter is spam, though, so really - you have to admit it's at least kind of lame. We don't do it, unless the radio is really asking for it.
PKing - Killing PKers is technically PKing itself, so it's a grey area. Generally we don't do it, but annoy us enough and all bets are off. Basically, we don't kill anyone who wouldn't have killed us first, given the opportunity.
Zerging - One player coordinating multiple characters is UBER-lame.
Membership Only one character is allowed in Tikhon Medical.
It should be noted that as Tikhon Medical has no leaders, there are no enforcers of these rules. Punishment is by the hospital staff, usually involving a closet, peanut butter, and our resident test subject, Target Zombie.
Tags
Tikhoners can spray paint whatever they like, of course. But we've found the following tags are popular:
Tikhon Medical. Helping you feel better.
Tikhon Medical. No License, No Problem.
Tikhon Medical. Always in our Prime! (specific to Tikhon West, aka Tikhon Prime, in Ruddlebank)
Tikhon Medical. Home of the Cheesy Poof
Tikhon Medical. Keeping it Cheesy since '06.
Tikhon Medical. A Farce to be Reckoned with.
RP - Those with Rot will be Shot. (for revive points)

Tompson Mall Security
Nice hatz!
The Dribbling Beavers
They eat our trees, poop on our lawn and slobber on our Cheesy Poofs. But they do keep the zombies away, so they're not that bad in the end.
Regional Barricading
Tikhon Medical has found the following regional barricade plan effective and would request it be followed. Most of the time, anyway.

- Rodeney Bank - Negligible. Supposed to be VS+2, but is rarely.
- The Bhore Building (2N) - VS+2, the most recent entry point.
