The Creedy Defense Force is a group of hardened survivors dedicated to protecting the area around Fort Creedy, in eastern Malton. They aid survivors in the area and attempt to quell any zombie uprisings as well as helping suppress anti-survivors, such as Player Killers (PKers) and Generator Killers (GKers). The groups roots are found with the spontaneous formation of survivors around the Fort in late September of 2005, after the survivors together fought off two major zombie assaults.

Now over two years old, the group stands as a beacon to other survivors.

Current Activities

The CDF are currently carrying out Operation: Firebat, as well as assisting in keeping Fort Creedy and the rest of Pitneybank under control.

Operational History

Operation: Party in the Fort- Classified- Information has yet to be released on this Operation.
Operation: Hydra Drop - Mar 22 - April 28 2008 - Operation: Hydra Drop was set up to counter the destruction of Giddings Mall on March 22 by The Dead, concentrating on reviving as much as possible and rapidly increasing the local survivor population. Characterised by quick, mass movement of the CDF and help from local survivors.

March 28 - Revived all members of the CDF and secured 'Fall Back Area Alpha'.

March 31 - The CDF noticed the Morrish Building was repaired and rushed in to help secure it.

April 1 - The Farmer Building and the surrounding area was retaken by the CDF.

April 4 - Attempt to retake Fort Creedy was initiated.

April 9 - Fort Creedy was fully cleared of zombies.

April 9 - The Dead suddenly arrive at Giddings Mall and the CDF rushes to defend the mall.

April 10- Giddings Mall is defeated. Cue the exact same operation, but with more confusion.

April 28- Fort Creedy was fully cleared of zombies.

Operation: Red Lemon - Feb 1 - Feb ? 2008 - The arrival of the the Second Big Bash resulted in the loss of Giddings Mall and the surrounding area, despite a valiant effort to defend Giddings Mall, possibly due to a new update causing barricade blocking by zombies and the resulting confusion. In response, the CDF quickly organised a strike on the Maine Building. On 4 February many CDF assaulted the Maine Building, retaking it and securing the surrounding area. Notable events of this mission included one member mysteriously dropping dead during the assault, and considerable confusion with the previous mission, possibly related to hamfisted naming techniques.

Operation: Red Blizzard - Jan 10 - Jan 20 2008 - The CDF retook the Farmer Building. This was followed by an attack on Fort Creedy a mere five days afterwards. With the help of local survivors, Fort Creedy was soon in survivor hands. Unfortunately, this mission was cut short by the arrival of the Second Big Bash.

CDF Structure

The CDF follows a fairly rigid command structure.

Unranked

It begins at the bottom with the Unranked members of the group. Do not mistake, however, that the Unranked are not valued.
Within the Unranked, there are a couple of squads which allows the Unranked member to be more pro-active and specialise. Unranked are REQUIRED to choose one of the three.
As it stands the current squads are as follows:

  • The AZTAU; The Anti-Zombie Tactical Assault Unit. These guys and girls specialise in clearing buildings, repairing barricades and keeping locations running as viable survivor safehouses.
  • Team CLERIC; The Creedy Logistics: Emergency Revive and Infirmary Corps is the medical and NecroTech arm of the CDF. Brandishing FAKs and Needles, they heal and revive survivors in the Creedy area, getting them back to full health to fight the zombie menace.
  • Creedy Engineering Corps(CEC); The brave engineers of creedy are dedicated to barricading and maintaining the power of numerous buildings. Wielding few weapons, they keep our power and radios powered up and running.

Security

The next step is the CDF Security. These survivors have proved their worth and are given access to a secure area of the CDF forums and can use a number of tools available to CDF Security members.
These hardened survivors are some of the toughest in the CDF and remain in the Unranked squads to provide direction and support to the Unranked members.

PKRU/Malakim

After Security there are two branches:

  • The Player Killer Response Unit (PKRU); These grizzled veterans of the CDF, and Malton, fight those who would rob the hard-pressed survivors of their lives. They hunt killers of the innocent and protect others by laying their lives on the line. They are elitist and access to their ranks is a privilege in the CDF.
  • The Malakim Squad; These tough warriors have been through the worst that the city can throw at them. Having survived Mall sieges, slugging battles over buildings, these CDF-ers have been assembled together and put in an elite unit which journeys across the city, providing aid for survivors in areas that have been ravaged by zombies. Groups can call on the Malakim for support whether they need medical aid and help setting up a revive point or if they need help clearing a mall and the surrounding buildings of infesting zombies, the Malakim can provide this much welcomed support. The leader of the squad hand picks from recruits who volunteer, though they must be Security, due to the tough conditions on the road. When not on operations of Mercy, the Malakim works to secure NT buildings and update the NT map

Staff

Beyond the Malakim and PKRU, there is a small group which runs the forums and group itself. These are the staff members, consisting of Advisors, Global Moderators and Administrators:

  • Advisors; Long standing CDF veterans. They are given access to the staff area to aid discussion and influence the direction the group goes. Generally drawn from retired Global Moderators and Administrators.
  • Global Moderators; More veterans, they are often the leaders or co-leaders of the CDF squads.
  • Administrators; These are the Brass. They make the big decisions regarding the CDF whether it be structure, where the group helps or who gets promoted, these are the ones who have the ultimate say.

Enemies of the CDF

The Pker Alliance.
We've been at war with the PKA for some time, obviously due to their tendency to PK survivors. We fight against them to safeguard innocent survivors.

RedRum.
A medium-large PKer group, recently performed a large raid on Giddings Mall, killing numerous survivors including several CDF members.

The RRF.
'The First Horde'. Lead most famously by Petrosjko, this horde struck fear into the hearts of most survivor groups. Recently lead by Sunny Corleone and then by a new, relatively unknown zombie-master, the RRF has unfortunately fallen on harder times, as shown by the recent occupation of Ridleybank, their home.

RMF
'Rowcliffe Must Fall'. A group founded to take over the Rowcliffe Building in Pegton. Very secretive and organized, led by The Sacred War Council. Ruthless, but honorable group.

Angels of Mercy
Although they say that they support us, they do not. They are on the enemy list for repeatedly hunting CDF members, even breaking their maximum 30HP kill range because "Even in perfect health, they are miserable".


All other anti-survivor groups are, by nature, enemies of the CDF, but the groups mentioned above are the primary enemies, due to proximity and activity in the recent weeks/months.


BoSs
'Brotherhood of Spammers'. Members of the Pker Alliance, target CDF members more specifically than any other survivor. Started out as a zombie group, transformed into a formidable PKer clan.

The Wreckening.
Old enemy Hungerer leads this zombie group, though it is a much more light-hearted and jovial opposition than many PKer groups.

Shacknews.
The latest in a string of hordes, including TSO and the Big Bash, this horde attacks rapidly and with ruthless efficiency. It is currently one of the only hordes to take down Caiger Mall.

Non members

As a large and well known group, the CDF has attracted its fair share of detractors, some of whom pretend to be part of CDF while actually working against it. The following people represent themselves as being a part of the CDF, but are not.

Treaty of Creedy

The CDF and CGR are officially at peace with each other. For over a year both sides have exchanged blows, although no ground was gained for either group. With the impending downfall of Pitneybank courtesy of LUE, a temporary ceasefire was initiated between the CGR and CDF on July 11th to the 18th. Dire consequences were laid down for any members of either team who would inflict harm against the other.

As the LUE and zombie hordes ravaged Pitneybank, the treaty between the two groups ended on the 18th; but it was extended for another week.

Immediately when the extension ended on the 25th, a few kills were inflicted upon both sides. Five days later, another tack was added, making the treaty last for two more weeks. And on August 12th, another addition made the end date the 27th. However a momentous decision was declared on August 16th, when the CGR and CDF agreed to a permanent ceasefire.

Celebration rang through the streets, and a sour grudge was finally laid to rest.

Mascot of the CDF

After a bout of gene-splicing by our resident nut, Aypok Retired, he produced the animal that would become the mascot of the CDF.

A blend of bovine and pig, it was named the BovigTM and is being bred by Bovig Limited exclusively for the CDF.

The Bovig is the CDF's primary food-stuff, milk source, baconation juice source (used in Baconated Cola, milk and other assorted drinks) and of course, the CDF's plucky mascot.

An example of the CDF's well-founded dedication to the Bovig can be found when examining Operation: Exploding Fox (an Operation marshalled by now retired founder, Cowboy Up to determine the contents of Fort Creedy). Before the operation began, a number of Bovig clones (now identified as belonging to HVLD after he used Aypok's cloning machine without authorisation) were seen to maul a contingent of CGR members.

The CDF took heart and the Operation was a roaring success.
