20090621 Outside Barricades Notifications

Midianian¦T¦DS¦SP¦ 11:08, 21 June 2009 (BST)

Suggestion type
additional information

Suggestion scope
mostly zombies

Suggestion description
Currently only players inside a building get notified when the last bits of barricades crumble down, or when the barricades are starting to get rebuilt. I suggest giving that information also to players outside the building (both of these events would also give you the profile who did it). Seeing when other zombies are attacking a building could help ferals coordinate their attacks.

  18. Keep but only if the profile link is only available to those on the side the cade was brought down from.--Honestmistake 16:58, 22 June 2009 (BST)
I considered that, but I'm fairly certain that people on the inside already see the profile of the player who took them down from the outside. It only makes sense to give as much information to the people outside. --Midianian¦T¦DS¦SP¦ 07:46, 23 June 2009 (BST)
  19. Keep/Change - Goddamnit, I really liked this suggestion before you went and added the part about the player's profile. How does a zombie standing outside a building know exactly which person is adding barricades to the inside? That's stupid but overall a good suggestion.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 17:34, 22 June 2009 (BST)
The same way a survivor knows which zombie took them down. The barricades are essentially between the inside and the outside. I don't see a problem in knowing who interacted with the barricades when there are no barricades yet/anymore. --Midianian¦T¦DS¦SP¦ 07:46, 23 June 2009 (BST)

  23. Keep - I have always wondered why those inside could see it, but not those outside...--Kolechovski 18:21, 23 June 2009 (BST)

  25. Keep Sounds like a good idea --MrJealousy 19:02, 23 June 2009 (BST)
  26. Keep What about the "x-ray" factor? Does the "you see who did it" apply to ONLY those on your side or the other side as well? In other words, can see the name of the person who knocks it down if they are on the OTHER side of it?--Pesatyel 06:06, 23 June 2009 (BST)
Yes, you can see them from the other side, but calling this "x-ray" is excessive. This doesn't really give any information as to the number of people inside/outside, which is what makes x-ray vision overpowered. You can't "see inside", you can just see someone who is inside. Also, see my reply to Giles. --Midianian¦T¦DS¦SP¦ 07:46, 23 June 2009 (BST)
X-Ray is the ability to see through barricades. It doesn't specify how much information you can acquire, just that you can see through it. But you DID answer my question (it wasn't clear in the suggestion, hence my kill vote for clarification) and I don't have a problem with how it works.--Pesatyel 08:57, 30 June 2009 (BST)
  27. Keep - I don't know whether it's so important to be told who did it but I do agree that peeps outside should be made aware of major changes to barricade levels. Must be optional so as not to be counted a spam. - Zig13 - 29/06/2009 at 14:33(BST)
  28. Keep - Makes the Mall Siege a bit more readable doesn't it? I need a good challenge. Chaplain Drakon Macar 00:45, 1 July 2009 (BST)
  29. Keep - If you can see if lights are on, you'd probably be able to see when barricades fell. Sounds reasonable. Nemesis645 17:48, 4 July 2009 (BST)
