Boxy
I was overseeing the Dux Ducis promotion bid that bases his candidacy mostly on the Locations project and then tought of this guy. He has over 3 THOUSANDS edits, and what's even more, if you look at the content of the edits you'll see that they're all plain good faith contributions to the most varied parts of the Wiki. The wiki itslef has grown a lot fatter with this guy's participation, who is a Locations page monster by his own right. I trust his judgement as much as I would trust a direct action taken by Kevan, he doesnt take parties, isn't biased at all, has the persistence of a bull (isn't he already bored of making those pages?), a great understanding of wiki code... enough presentation, you know him anyways. It's Boxy! --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 23:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Um, thanks. You overstate my knowledge of wiki code though, a moderate understanding at best, but I'm learning. And yeah, I do get bored with those locations pages, that's why it's such a stop start affair :) -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:34, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - I nominated him, and no, nobody asked me for it. As if that made any difference... --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 23:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- It does, IMO. It shows that others have confidence in his ability enough to nominate them without knowing whether they want the job. If people lack that confidence to nominate you, yet you think you have what it takes, nominate yourself. Getting someone else to nominate you lacks class. –Xoid M•T•FU! 05:15, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- My ""As if that made any difference" was aimed at a case like this. I share your POV that a guy that asks people to nominate him makes himself look bad, but in this case even if boxy did that he shouldn't get a Vouch less. He looks too damn good for a little stain to taint his record. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 07:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

- Vouch=Very Yes - With the amount of work he puts into the wiki, it's easy to forget he's not a sysop already.--J Muller 23:48, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - I don't see why not. --The Surgeon GeneralDHPD|P! 00:02, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - Wow, that's a lot of location pages made. The suggestions are few, but good, and the guides made are very nice. I would like to see participation in other parts of the wiki, but the strength in making pages accompanied with a great attitude makes me lean towards vouch. -- 00:09, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - How did he do all that stuff? --Cap'n Silly 00:20, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - It just isn't a location page if he hasn't edited it.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 03:09, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - hurray for civilized mod candidates. --Darth Sensitive W! 03:38, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

- Vouch - Assuredly. –Xoid M•T•FU! 04:01, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - A top notch bloke. From what I've seen he is hard working and I personally couldn't recommend him any more highly. - JedazΣT MC ΞD GIS S! 04:04, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch? - Is it still a vouch after it gets moved down to community discussion? Anyway, this guy seems pretty nice and neutral, as well as having been around for a long time. Sounds like perfection incarnate to me.--Lachryma 04:15, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

- Vouch oh hell yes... fast track this one boys and girls. and re:Wiki Code knowledge... I can say you know it better than I do, but thats not the only qualification anyway. Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 06:50, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Abstain - meh?Vouch - Meh indeed!--THE Godfather of Яesensitized, Anime Sucks Yalk | W! U! WMM| CC CPFOAS LOE ZHU | Яezzens 07:58, 18 January 2007 (UTC)- I will vouch you based on your answers to this questions
- What Moderator duties do you see yourself focusing on, as a general rule?
- How do you react to criticism online?
- What is your current attitude to the moderators, as a group?
- --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 11:15, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- 1 Anything that I see myself as qualified for. I will try to keep away from ruling in areas where my understanding of the wiki rules is hazy, for example NPOV disputes. I'm going to nut that one out one day soon, just havn't got around to it yet. I can see a need for someone to clear out the M/MR queue regularly, and I want to try to get the M/SD Crit 12 queue working properly (or re-do the policy again).
- 2 Depends on who's giving it. If it's someone who's opinion I respect, or someone with a valid point, I try to take it onboard. If it's mindless sledging, give 'em a bit of a blast, and try to ignore it as unworthy of futher reply. If it's just downright bullshite, put my POV across as succinctly as possible and let the viewer decide for themself.
- 3 A mixed bag, a few terrible, mostly adequate (or AWOL), and a few good'uns. Most decisions are made correctly, but there seems to be a tendency to favor large group's or "well connected" posters POV in borderline situations -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 12:13, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - even though i dont like the idea of someone else supporting crit 12 running around with mod powers. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 12:33, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Crit 12 has it's place, it just needs to be slowed down a little to give people a chance to save worthwhile content even if the groups arn't officially "historic", IMO. There are still group pages out there with little content, that obviously never really evolved into true groups, that need deleting. And there are more being created pretty much every day -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 12:39, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - Read all vouch votes. --Slice 'N' Dicin' Axe Hack 12:53, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - He's just the kind of person we need on the moderation team. Not too hard, not too opinionated, not too abbrasive (no offense to the other mods; it's just good to have variety). --Reaper with no name TJ! 17:29, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - boxy seems like a good guy.--Gage 17:37, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- vouch I've seen his work, and like it... and he got somebody else to nominate him. Meets my criteria. Asheets 22:59, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- vouch - He has contributed a heck of a lot to the wiki, wouldn't be the same place without him. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 00:19, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Vouch - I thought you were a moderator... Jonny12 talk . w(m)^∞ 22:50, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
