The suburb was universally derided across Malton as 'Dumpsterbank', as a result of being the location of the city's largest [[Factory 52,70|rubbish incinerator]]. The prevailing wind meant that the foul odours and pollution spread southwards across the suburb, which may explain the numerous [[hospital|hospitals]] nearby. The suburb is also host to various noxious junkyards and warehouses related to its former role as Malton's binman. Whether toxic waste disposed here was the cause of subsequent [[zombie|antisocial elements]] emerging is pure conjecture, and the subject of hotly contested allegations in courts beyond the city's confines.  


Recently the suburb, along with the rest of Malton, has gone through a painstakingly long rebuilding and only during the last week of March 2008 has progress been visible. The assailants laying claim to the destruction were a shambling zombie horde from the northeast, known as [[The Dead]], some thousand strong in early March of 2008. Most all buildings are barricaded though usually empty, and power is maintained in strategic buildings.
