Welcome to the page of Malton Central Intelligence. The MCI is a military intelligence agency, and public service organization- devoted to collected and analyzing large quantities of data to produce high quality reports and assessments for our clients, and for the general good. It is a subgroup of the MCDU, which is a DEM member group (and so this group is a DEM member group by extension).
The MCI is not a "spying" organization: it is an intelligence agency designed to gather information from a broad range of public channels and condense it into more concise and useful formats.

Policies Regarding Members
1.) "Zerging" is prohibited. Only one of your characters may be a member of the MCI, or its parent group, the MCDU, and your MCI character may not interact with any of your other characters. This relates both to your proximity to that character, and your contribution to projects which may affect that character.
2.) PKing is prohibited. Exception is made only for claiming bounties on known Player Killers, who are listed on the Rogues Gallery.
3.) Spying is strictly prohibited. A single confirmed instance of sharing the private information of another group with the MCI will warrant your immediate removal, regardless of rank. If you find information while playing with an alt that another MCI player is zerging or spying, you should ask somebody else with the access and authority to share that information to contact the MCI Director.
Goals and Guidelines
To achieve these short- and long-term goals, the Malton Central Intelligence has set forward the following guidelines for Agents in the field:
- Support each other: Render whatever assistance or support you can to other DEM personnel in your area. If you are in the same or adjacent suburbs, stay in touch and be ready to help.
- Scouting: Keep an eye on the general zombie population in your area. Report sightings in the appropriate places (wiki, local group forums, DEM sitrep threads, etc).
- Checking for breaches: Check safehouses and TRPs in your area to see if they have been breached. This is a key support function! Alert the tenants and neighbors that there are zombies inside (yes, this makes a difference), erect a minimal barricade, and do what you can to drop the zombies. Always dispose of fallen survivors and enemies before seeking more secure shelter.
- Adjusting barricades: Lower barricades on buildings designated VS safehouses that became overbarricaded, and instruct tenants why they should not overbarricade, providing links to the wiki and the appropriate barricade plan if applicable. Raise barricades on buildings where they have been dropped, with VS safehouses getting priority.
- Respect Sacred Ground: We support the Sacred Ground Policy, and members must consider cemetaries functional Revivification Points. While it is still recommended to only revive those that have placed a revive request, zombies on these locations should not be attacked.
- Community service announcements: When visiting highly populated safe houses and other buildings containing survivors, let them know about any forums or wiki pages specific to that location or suburb, report any unusual zombie activity or numbers in the immediate area, remind them of the appropriate barricade level for that building, etc. Make sure to let them know the MCI is providing the helpful information and urge survivors to report in.
- Tag buildings: Buildings can be tagged with useful information (barricade level, location of closest revive point, etc) and just sign the tag -MCI. You can also just tag the TinyURL for this wiki page, http://tinyurl.com/2bvofs.
- Recruit: Try not to be shy. Let people know you are with the Malton Central Intelligence. Encourage survivors to report in, providing the URL. If you aren't the talkative type, just provide the URL for the forum and let them know people here will be happy to answer questions. The more personnel the department has at it's disposal, the more good we can do in the community!
- Maintain the wiki: All members can help out by making sure we are listed in the description of suburbs within which we are active, update suburb danger levels, etc.
- Barricade plans: Draw up barricade plans in accordance with the Uniform Barricading Policy for any suburbs in organized districts that do not already have one developed by active groups specific to that area.
- Work with your community: Agents are encouraged to communicate with and assist any local community groups whose goals are congruent with the Unit's Goals and Guidelines. Additionally, as a Malton-wide organization, we have the opportunity to help bring like-minded groups together on large-scale projects. Working as a team we can accomplish great things!
Organization
MCI organization is as follows-
Coordination of Activities
Activities are organized into projects. Each project has one or more coordinators, usually the most senior agents (or even the direct or deputy director), who are in charge of the day-to-day operations of the team working on that project. This is not a rank or position, but a temporary role for an agent, lasting as long as the project lasts or until they are replaced.
Coordination of Members
Members are organized into four positions:
- Director- leader of the organization.
- Deputy Director- assistant to the Director.
- Agent- a full fledged member of the organization.
- Academy Cadet- a member in training.
MCI Core Curriculum
MCI recruits are expected to master the following trainee skills during their time at The Academy. New graduates should make acquisition of the advanced skills a priority after receiving their first assignment. Recruits who enter the Academy already in possession of all the trainee skills need only attend campus for one week or until they have demonstrated mastery of DEM policies and protocols.

The levels are the suggested order in which these skills should be acquired. However, current environmental conditions or campus/team needs should also be considered.
Cadets are encouraged to discuss questions about their skills training and priorities with their instructor staff.
