Hey if you want that program let me know your E-mail so I can send it to you, the wiki doesn't allow me to upload .exe's. You can contact me at da_jedas@hotmail.com - Jedaz 10:41, 1 May 2006 (BST)
- Hey I was wondering how the program was going for you? I've got a newer version if you want it which also changes the formatting on peer accepted and undecided suggestions. - Jedaz 12:08, 6 May 2006 (BST)
- I like it, haven't had much time to test it though. If you could email me the newer version that would be great.--The General W! Mod 14:29, 6 May 2006 (BST)
- I see you recived the E-mail, also thanks for voting on the Featured Suggestions. - Jedaz 14:35, 7 May 2006 (BST)
- The program is really useful, it makes it a lot easier to move things to peer rejected. The new one which converts all the suggestion types will be great.--The General W! Mod 14:41, 7 May 2006 (BST)
- Ok, I'll make that minor change and send it to you. It won't be too hard to do. - Jedaz 23:36, 7 May 2006 (BST)

- Hmm.... well I don't seem to be getting the problem that you described. But I'll re-send you the newest version. I know at one stage that it had that problem, but it didn't seem that it affected wether or not it was peer reviewed. Any way I'll still re-send you the most recent version - Jedaz 03:41, 18 May 2006 (BST)

Ah yes I noticed the same thing as well just the other day. I've alredy made a fix for it. The program searches for specific lines of text and replaces it, but the problem was that there were some tabs or something extra in the text it was looking through so the computer doens't look at it the same way. Any way I'll go and E-mail you the newest version so that should fix it. If not then let me know which page it doesn't process properly and then I'll go and figgure it out. But I think this update should fix it. - Jedaz 04:54, 29 May 2006 (BST)

Two Things
- About the template Arbitrationnotice - you added a category to it without the required piping, and the category wasn't surrounded by <noinclude> tags.
- From your user page: "i'm" - for someone complaining about the lack of proper captialisation, that really should've been "I'm".
–Xoid S•T•FU! 13:59, 11 May 2006 (BST)
- For someone being picky, period, it should have been "I am" or "I'm". If you're going to criticize, make sure that you are correct first. -Wyn (talk!) 15:03, 11 May 2006 (BST)
Mod Bid
I'm sending this message out to everyone who had spoken on my modship bid. Recently it was suggested that I wipe the slate clean and start over with a new bid. I decided against this for two main reasons: First, I don't want to risk causing any drama, and Second, I don't want to risk people on either side not being heard the second time around.
I am, however, asking anyone who has spoken to take a moment of thier time to review the case and deatermine if they need to change thier vote or, more than likely, keep it as is. Thank you. --SirensT RR 14:58, 12 May 2006 (BST)
Striking Votes
- Moderators do not have their hands bound. They're just as capable of putting motions up as any of the rest of the users on the wiki - since you guys are so hell-bent on making that point. Also, I'd like to point out that if the moderators had bothered to seperate out things like harassment and vandalism, and things of that sort, you wouldn't be facing ambiguities which would get you slapped with a miconduct case. Sorry to have to say it, but by a lack of moderator-led motions, you guys painted yourself into a corner through the belief that you guys are only custodians. -Wyn (talk!) 19:52, 13 May 2006 (BST)

Arbitration Question
What do you think about something like this given Scinfaxi's complete refusal of Arbitration during Wikigate? A new case will just be destroyed like the old one. -- Amazing 06:39, 30 May 2006 (BST)
- My opinion is that Scinfaxi can't spell. Apart from that? Well, as you love to remind people a user page is that user's property. Scinfaxi may be a dick, but as long as it's on his user page, I belive that takes precedence over any arbitration ruling that does not specifically state he lost sole owner ship of his page. –Xoid S•T•FU! 06:46, 30 May 2006 (BST)

I Must Protest...
I was trying to help the newbies, if someone comes along and sees that, they would believe that Pking on 6/6/06 is allowed, but not all groups (CDF, AoG, etc.) accept that day as legal, making them banned from some important tools.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by DJSMITH (talk • contribs) .

Any particular reason for my early unbanning? You are aware that Amazing will likely call you for misconduct charges over this if you don't supply a reason on misconduct page.

Vandalism
Recently you warned me for vandalising the wiki. I would like you to reconsider your decision. This is for two reasons:
- The edit in question was a good edit. It improved the wiki. The thing it removed was a portion of a sentence stating that users should avoid doing something because they would get flamed. The problem with this reasoning is that it means that nasty, insulting people, through flaming, can dictate what people can and can't do. Nasty people should not be empowered by their flaming.
- I had already said on the relevant talk page that I thought the edit should be made. If you carefully (because I didn't say it all that clearly) read the talk page, especially but not exclusively my first bullet point, you will see that I had previously stated that I thought flaming was a poor reason, and that I thought it should be removed from the page.
All in all, I think this was a good edit, made in an appropriate manner, and so I would like you to re-evaluate your decision, and (hopefully) withdraw your warning. --Toejam 22:41, 8 June 2006 (BST)
- I honestly can't believe the over reactions I've been seeing lately. A warning is nothing major. No-one thinks less of you for having one! People don't go, "Ooh! He's got a warning! Let's flame him and be not nice!" All you have to do is simply not do it again. Is that so hard for you that you require extra chances? Cyberbob Talk 10:56, 9 June 2006 (BST)
- The point was, it wasn't vandalism in the first place. Reading The General's comments on the vandal banning page, I think he realised this, but unfortunately the warning remains on my talk page. It seems almost like a loose end to be tidied up. --Toejam 16:47, 19 June 2006 (BST)
- Yes, it does seem like that, doesn't it? Too bad it isn't. Whatever General may be, he isn't forgetful. Cyberbob Talk 17:33, 19 June 2006 (BST)
- Actually if you reread the history cyberbob, the general gave it out of his hands. (Fell free to withdraw my warning)So there is a loose end. that nobody took it up isn't his fault. I at the time thought that he meant Toejam himself. but as that no longer is an option it best left to the general himself to decide if he wants to retract the warning or not.--Vista 19:42, 19 June 2006 (BST)

- WTF? "…portion of a sentence stating that users should avoid doing something because they would get flamed." — are you saying that people who have no idea what they're doing when it comes to formatting; shouldn't get the friendly tip that users quite often get pissed off about it when they [newbies] make an abhorrent mess? And that if they learn how to do things right, they are therefore less likely to get flamed? –Xoid S•T•FU! 11:02, 9 June 2006 (BST)
- The way that you expect someone to behave influences how they actually behave. Even if we don't mean it to, by saying wiki users will flame, we encourage a tendency for wiki editors to flame. --Toejam 16:47, 19 June 2006 (BST)
- Did it really take you over a week to figure out a response to that? Or were you scared I was gonna flame you for your blatant stupidity? (Don't worry, I will.)
- You're reasoning is specious: "We shouldn't inadvertantly encourage people to flame. Because then the n00bies will learn from their mistake." — yeah… right. Talking to people calmly is really going to get through their thick-headed stupidity. I know I often go up to the legally braindead and say "Please stop drooling, because I would appreciate it to not look at you making a mess." — of course they immediately sit up and pay attention and wipe away any drool. Hell it works all the time. No really; the braindead n00bs can be informed to; I'm sure of it. If we just speak calmly… fuck that. n00bs are n00bs. No mercy for them; if they're stupid enough to fuck up big time they deserve every ounce of venom they get. –Xoid S•T•FU! 17:28, 19 June 2006 (BST)
From Burgan
Hey, I was just curious about a policy with the suggestions page. I see you've struck out two 'keep' votes for the education suggestion because they did not give a reason, but I couldn't see the rule that stipulates that. It seems to me that if a suggestion has everything that a voter wants, then it's appropriate for them to vote Keep with just kudos for comments. If there's a rule I missed, can you point me to it, and where to discuss the policy? I also just noticed some jerk trying to hold the wiki hostage over amazing or something when I refreshed the suggestions page; I don't need to discuss how stupid that move is, but I understand if you mods have better things to do at the moment if that keeps up. --Burgan 03:48, 9 June 2006 (BST) P.S. I hope this is done correctly, I'm not used to wiki-messaging.
- I'm not Grim, but the rule you're looking for is right here. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 05:35, 9 June 2006 (BST)
- Fair enough, but if you simply like a suggestion, I don't see the need to rehash it just to say you like it. I've just never seen votes like this struck before, be it kill, keep, or spam, though I've seen plenty of Spam/Kill votes stand, assuming they agree with previous poster's votes. Is this indicative that this rule will be enforced more consistently now for unjustified votes?
- I did vote kill on this particular suggestion, and I'm usually (overly) verbose on my votes, but I thought it odd that those ones were killed like that. I'll take my discourse to the Suggestion talk page. Thanks for the pointer. --Burgan 08:07, 9 June 2006 (BST)
Amazing's Userpage
I removed the content from said page because it was being used as a template posted 20+ times on pages to break them by a Vandal who is most likely Amazing. Please keep the page clear of content to prevent this sort of abuse in the future. – Nubis NWO 17:11, 10 June 2006 (BST)
- That achieves nothing. The vandal has now resorted to using the Suggestions page. Are you going to erase that as well? Either way it's just a click of the rollback button. At least with the content we can use it as a cautionary tale for newbies. Cyberbob Talk 17:14, 10 June 2006 (BST)

"Whether he is or isn't out of his mind, you are not allowed to use "note".--The General-W! P! Mod19:13, 18 July 2006 (BST)" — Like, WTF? Since when was there a restriction on the use of the word "note"? I know his response was a strikable one, but wouldn't that have fallen under the "Author Re: only" rule? –Xoid S•T•FU! 00:09, 19 July 2006 (BST)
- Technically speaking, only moderators can use "Note," and only when striking a vote that exists only to troll. Aren't our rules fun? –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 02:58, 19 July 2006 (BST)
lt was a joke, I assumed that people would understand that I was sticking out a non-author Re.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 06:40, 19 July 2006 (BST)
- I understood it, but sadly, I wasn't kidding about the "Note" usage. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 06:43, 19 July 2006 (BST)
- Ah. I missed that. Obviously. >_< –Xoid S•T•FU! 06:55, 19 July 2006 (BST)

New policy
Howdy General. Just giving you a heads up that the policy to prohibit content outside of the normal page area has passed, in case you didn't see for yourself. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 06:25, 21 July 2006 (BST)
"Invalid" votes
I'd like to disagree with your striking of Xoid's "WTFCENTAURS" vote. Although you are following the letter of the law, you are not following its spirit. I know that there is, according to the policies, no "WTFCENTAURS" vote, but it is well-understood that that vote is synonymous with "Spam." If you strike his vote, you also have to strike my "SPAMTARDED," Gage's "SPAMTACULAR," and Sonny's "WTFCENTAURS." After all, none of those are valid votes either. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 20:04, 21 July 2006 (BST)
- I will, give me a minute.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 20:16, 21 July 2006 (BST)
- Well, I saw you struck the other "WTFCENTAURS," but not mine or Gage's? Come now, our votes are just as invalid. If you allow those, then you will surely allow "SPAMWTFCENTAURS" as well? –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 20:27, 21 July 2006 (BST)
- I should make a policy for WTFCENTAURS. Sonny Corleone WTF 20:06, 21 July 2006 (BST)
- Please do. But I propose that it be generic enough to cover new votes — in other words, there should be an allowance for allowed votes to "evolve" on the page. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 20:25, 21 July 2006 (BST)

but isnt the recruitment page for group recruitment?i'm not going for group recruitment.and where do i find the relevant page?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Axe Hack (talk • contribs) at an unknown time.
- You could get round that by making it into a group, wouldn't that be a better way to coordinate it anyway?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 16:08, 26 July 2006 (BST)
