Stanbury Village is a suburb of Malton, located in the center of the city. 'The Village' (as it is known to locals) is considered to be one of the most historically interesting suburbs in Malton, as much of its architecture and natural beauty was preserved despite its central location in Malton's blighted, heavily industrialized inner city. The distinctive character of the Village was protected thanks to the religious foundations of St. Maria's Church and St. Augustine's Church, as well as the extensive landholdings of the nobility and other aristocrats whose families had lived here for centuries.

The Stanbury Village suburb has the following active radio stations.

Freq: 26.03: Central Malton
Freq: 26.71: Nichols Mall

However, before the outbreak modern Stanbury was relatively unremarkable, mostly visited by patrons of Nichols Mall and its Kilt Store, whose presence reflects the Scottish ancestry of many of the Village's lordly inhabitants. There was a steady stream of local gossip caused by the resident billionaire and Necrotech founder Willum J. Kersley, but his mansion in the South-East is now ransacked, the onyx walls and countless hot-tubs marred with dried gore, the cellars gutted by fire and littered with unidentifiable equipment. Several sites in Stanbury were planned for development and urban renewal, but since the outbreak these have simply lain empty as wasteland.

Records of Stanbury history have been recorded in books, in the Brome and Stribling Libraries, as well as in artifacts found in the Batson Museum. A few passages of Stanbury Village history of variable reliability can be found here.

As a central location it is prone to repeated re-conquering by various human and zombie groups, but its proximity to Ridleybank makes it generally quite unsafe for survivors.

Revive Points

AquaReviv.jpg

Stanbury Village has two NecroTech (NT) facilities, the Went NT Building (51,57) in the east of the suburb and the Moseley NT Building (59,55) in the east.

Stanbury Village does have cemeteries within its boundaries, but the Sacred Ground Policy is not actively enforced. There are two monitored revive points (RPs) in Stanbury Village: Yeoman Park (58,55), which is one block west of the Went NT Building, and Dix Row (52,57), one block east of the Moseley NT facility. Survivors still struggling for a revive are encouraged to travel one suburb east to the legendary Swansborough Park in Roftwood. Moseley NT often serves as a brain rot revive clinic, as staffing permits. There are no guarantees, but if you absolutely need a revive and have no place to go, try Moseley.

June 30th Nichols Mall has been overrun by the RRF and friends, with 29 zambahz currently inside. LordOlam (talk) 11:12, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
June 24th Another mixed survivor group holds the mall. Currently about 2 dozen zeds are crowded around the mall and adjacent buildings. Survivor morale is high and numerous breaches have been made but quickly plugged. Mafiamanz (talk) 07:37, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
June 11th After 11 days of survivor domination, Nichols Mall was finally breached yesterday by a well executed X:00 strike from the Ridleybank Resistance Front horde. For over a week survivors from The Kilt Store, Knights Templar, and The Fortress fended off a mob of zombies that eventually grew to about 20 at the peak before the RRF dispatched both it's Gore Corps and Constables to the fray and cracked the mall's NW corner open to turn the tide into zed favor. The first breach was almost repelled, as the 12 zombies inside were brought down to 3, and the barricades were rebuilt to heavily, but another strike later in the same day bumped zombie numbers back up to 11 inside. As of this morning, 21 zombies are inside Nichols Mall, with only a few survivors left standing and power reduced down to just the SE corner. No doubt Stanbury Village hasn't seen action on this caliber in quite some time. Thanks to all those alive and undead for making quite the event! --ZombGG (talk) 13:34, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
May 11th The Kilt Store is playing an active role battling for Nichols Mall. Presently, the mall rests in ruins with a zombie inside each corner. The Kersley Mansion stands and the suburb's mobile phone mast is active. The suburb is largely barricaded with a hot spot of ruins in the north west part of the suburb around Bunney Street Police Department and the buildings surrounding and including Nichols Mall. Revives are flowing at Yeoman Park even though the Went Building NecroTech facility is ruined. --ZombGG (talk) 05:10, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
