Kempsterbank is a suburb of Malton, located in the southern area of the city. The Knights Templar have been vested with the responsibility of the safety, defense, and revival of the living population in the area from the original settlers of the suburb since June 2006. In August of 2007, Detulux Inc migrated to the suburb to fill their new warehouse complex with weapons for zombie defense. Most recently, in August 2008, an organized group of zombies, the St. Ferreol's Hospital Noise Abatement Society arose and have been ruining the surrounding blocks and eating breathers ever since.

Kempsterbank could use the dedicated radio frequency of 26.19 MHz, which serves the "SE-4" grouping of suburbs - East Grayside, Hollomstown, Kempsterbank, West Grayside and Wyke Hills, but instead most all radio transmitters in the suburb are normally tuned to 27.55 MHz, sometimes accompanied with the NE corner of Pole Mall.

Kempsterbank has a (currently non-UBP) barricade plan.

"... thirty or so in Kempsterbank ... mostly just small groups ... power's on across most of the area ... some minor structural damage though ... the Dobbs Building is looking wrecked ..." (26 minutes ago)

Like clockwork the external military reports the jump in activity beginning this month as the highly coordinated MOB invade and take out two of the suburb's most valuable resource in what can be best described as a blitzkrieg. Scavengers and others cannon fodder should vacate, while combatants, healers, and revivers should check their inventory and prepare for a hard fight. After months of stagnation the suburb just became a battleground. -- JD 06:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

The Knights Templar have set up a public KempsterBank forum for everyone, even the Zeds, which can be used for everything from setting up public strikes to general discussion. http://z8.invisionfree.com/Kempsterbank_Journal/index.php? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:55, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

  • The Kempsterbank Journal was indeed founded by members of Knights Templar, but will remain completely un-biased in its reporting toward any survivor groups or teams. It is simply meant as a way for the citizens of Kempsterbank to communicate and coordinate against zombie threats, without having to visit ten different forums. We even let the zeds have their say! External Military: "... Kempsterbank looks clear ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... only a few buildings damaged though ... power's on at the Dobbs Building ..."

This report is push from the last one but, the activity of death cultists is rising, generators and radios are heard crashing in many buildings, although the good news is that overbarricading is less of a problem than before. The rumor that Kempsterbank was next to be hit on the way to Pole is unfounded as they have their hands full with Pitneybank, though local zombie groups keep the pressure up till their brethren can arrive. -- JD 22:45, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

February 21st

NecroWatch reported in from the Dobbs and Jillard Buildings today. A recent scan had revealed that there were 21 zombies within scanning range of both facilities, after accounting for scan overlaps. Of these numbers, there were 5 zombies at Byewell Bank, while 3 zombies were at Wawer Cinema and at Compton Park over in Tapton. The remaining zombies were grouped in 1's and 2's and scattered across the area, but posed no serious threat to any other locations. --Mobius 17:11, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

February 19th

The year grinds on and according to our eyes in the sky Kempsterbank has fallen a notch on the scale.

"... Kempsterbank looks clear ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... only a few buildings damaged though ... power's on at the Dobbs Building ..."

The general area is a hot bed of activity. Many building are overbarricaded throughout the suburb, which has lead to many survivors being found locked out on the street. The lack of reliable entrances has also lead to a deterioration of infrastructure with generators going without fuel and radios destroyed without replacement. The zombies on the other hand, although few in number, and not always standing, are organized and often crack open light dependent buildings, Cinemas, Clubs, Banks, and such to hide inside. Local survivor groups on the other hand continue to work to rid the suburb of the death cultists who are believed to be behind the sabotage. Their informative radio traffic can be heard daily. St. Ferreols has been repaired, many nearby buildings are over-barricaded. Billy Forks 11:29, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

NecroWatch reported from the Jillard Building today. A recent scan revealed that there was only a single zombie within scanning range of the facility. The zombie was standing at outside at Laimbeer Plaza and a threat to no one at this time. The suburb appears to be mostly zombie-free. --Mobius

har har har! That's SIGINT for you. ;) Billy Forks 01:55, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
ROFL. No one bothers DNA scan the poor zombies inside St. F's anymore, apparently. --MillaD 15:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

January 25th

The suburb is settling in for the year and in the area very little has changed according to the military report for Kempsterbank, which is a mirror of its 2 week old predecessor.

"... streets are looking clear in Kempsterbank ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... infrastructure looks intact too ... the Jillard Building is being held ..." The continued peace has allowed transmitters to pop up in just about every building, as a result daily reports are heard though out the 'burb. Most commonly heard, word of Mall Tour is spurring survivors to prepare for the loss of Pole, and also the inevitable spill over into the suburb.

But although its peaceful, the streets are far from safe. St. Ferreol's trades hands often, and other more tenacious ferals attack other light dependent buildings such as Banks; Clubs; Cinemas; etc. JD 21:41, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

January 8th

Happy New Year to the survivors and zombies of Kempsterbank. Just over the radio, the military has this to say on the state of this fair 'burb:

"... streets are looking clear in Kempsterbank ... a lot of lights on, looks the area's been reclaimed ... infrastructure looks intact too ... the Jillard Building is being held ..."

Its fair to say that, aside from the hot zone around St. Ferreol's, people are pretty safe. Congrats to the survivors, and kudos to our zombie adversaries and better luck on the next military report. JD 20:00, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

What a lovely NPOV report. Gawd bless you Harmans. Everyone!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rosslessness (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.
